Dear Quilting Friends,
I have been a little behind in sending out a shop newsletter.
Shirley and I have been designing new quilts and learning to
quilt them on the Handi-Quilter. In the past 9 months I have
written 8 patterns for our new designs. I have been teaching
quilting for 21 years and it was nice to take a break and get
some of my ideas down on paper. After being in business 20
years I am still challenged and enthused about being a
quilter.

Learn to make quilts with strips. You can purchase strip
bundles (details at the store) or bring your own 2 1/2”
strips. Be prepared to have some fun and play games. Our
Strip Club teacher, Cheryl will teach you how to strip like

I hope you are ready to take classes again . We have a great
line up of classes for you. Treat your self to a class and you
will see your skills expand and make new friends as well.

one of the first quilt shops to offer quilting supplies online.

Are you fascinated by the variety of quilts that can be made
from the same block? We are too! Eleven quilt shop owners
from around the country have gotten together chosen one block
and each designed a very unique quilt based on that block. Each
shop owner chose their own fabric and color grouping for their
quilt. And the quilts were not revealed to the other shop owners
until all the original designs were completed. The quilts are
incredible! Previous quilts featured, Martha Washington Star
block, basket blocks, Corn & Beans block, & Jacob’s Ladder
block.

Go back in time with us as we reminisce about
the days of the past. Each of the 20 sampler quilt blocks tell a
story of victory over hard times in the 1940’s. Victory Quilts
is Eleanor Burns of Quilt In A Day newest book. Chose from
6” or 12” quilt blocks and a variety of settings. You can use
the Victory Garden fabric collection to make your quilt or
choose or another fabric choice. Our goal will be to make 2
blocks a week. In addition Suzanne will share with you some
of her favorite techniques. Let’s plan on having our quilt tops

Pick one of your UFO’s and come to class to get it done. So
many times we hesitate to finish a quilt because we are unsure
