The Souhegan Sabers Girls’ Soccer team defeated the John Stark Generals 5 to 0 to up the season record to 3 wins and 0 losses. In a rain soaked
field, the Souhegan defense stepped up and played outstanding led by
senior Shelby Belak and sophomore goalie Mikaela Sullivan. Mikaela
Sullivan registered her third shutout in as many games. Sophomore
Peyton Kent assisted on two of the Souhegan goals. The Souhegan
offense was led by the scoring attack of senior Caroline Stone
and sophomore Madison Learned, who each score two goals.
Sophomore Caroline Schagrin also put a ball in the John Stark
net for Souhegan to round out the scoring.
Souhegan Drops Game to Porstmouth 22 to 15

The Souhegan High School football team looked to overcome a first
half where Portsmouth took advantage of a number of Souhegan
turnover. Thesecond half saw the
Sabers attempt a second week of a
fourth quarter come back. But, in
week two the comeback fell just a
little short and the Saberslost 22 to
15 and find themselves with a 1 win
and 1 loss recor
The offense saw Robbie McCormick throw for 178 yards and two
touchdowns. With 7:36 left in the
game, Robbie McCormick found
Denny Desseraulton a 37 yeard
touchdown to cut the lead to 22 to
12. With 5:22 left in the contest, the
Sabers cut the lead to 22-12 on a 30
yard field goal from TylerFord.
The Souhegan defense was strong
throughout the contest.

the Sabers.
The Sabers effort throughout the
game was strong. The Souhegan
squad will now travel to Goffstown
for a Saturday game between two of
the DivisionIII top teams.
Girls Soccer Beats Milford 2-1
Sabers beat Milford 2-1. The Saber goals both came on corner kicks in
the first half. The first was set up by Peyton Kent with Korina Hahn scoring.
Three minutes later after a set up again by Kent, Agnes Chretien scored. Sabers had 14 shots on goal. Milford scored in the second half on a penalty kick.

The Souhegan Sabers defeated the
Milford Spartans 4 to 0. The Sabers
scored all four goals in the first half.
Withthe victory, the Sabers record
is 2 wins and 3 losses. Senior James
The Sabers are now even on the season with 2 wins and 2 losses
with Friday’s 2-1 win over Hollis / Brookline. SHS plays host to Milford also even at 2 and 2, Tuesday, September 13, then travels to Laconia on Friday for a match with the Sachems with only one win so far.
Sheldon scored three goals. Junior
Willis Griffithregistered two assists
and fellow Junior Kade Colen had
an assist. Junior Brendan Dix made
five saves on his way tothe shut-out.

team’smanagers Carly Lorden and
Madison Little, both members of the
junior Class, for all the hard workthey do for the team. They spend
each and every practice and game
making sure the athletes arehydrated, taped, cared for when injured,
and assist coaches with paperwork
and other tasks. Theyhave great Saber spirit and awesome attitudes.

managers aregreat” by fans, coaches, players and most of all by Rachel
who appreciates all their hard work
