MIAMI TAKEOVER BACKGROUND
In 2008 with the assistance of friends, supporters and business sponsors, The
WK&F Group developed the concept for an all-inclusive weekend getaway to this
vacation haven. The Miami TakeOver aimed to provide its' participants the
opportunity to see South Beach through the clear vision of a South Beach
native/promoter instead of through the blurred sight of a first time visitor. Over
the past 5 years, we have hosted such notable Celebrity guests as Doug E Fresh,
Big Tigger, DJ SnS, Red Grant, Joe Clair, and the list goes on.
Now in its' sixth year, The Miami TakeOver has increased its'
registration to 800+ guests that booked their travel through
us, 4 Hotels, 300+ rooms and another 300+ that
purchased weekend party passes.
Miami TakeOver, LLC has established itself as the preferred vehicle to the DC Metro area for a
South Beach Getaway. This

THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER TO CLEAN UP MIAMI BEACHES
The Miami Beach Convention Center participates in the Adopt-a-Beach Program implemented by the Environmental Coalition of Miami and the Beaches (ECOMB). The AdoptA-Beach program is not just about litter. It is also about the need for clean oceans, shorelines, and waterways. Local residents work together to create permanent solutions to shoreline and marine debris. The oceans and waterways have been a dumping ground for manmade debris for thousands of years. The harmful effects of litter are severe: negative economic and aesthetic impacts, harm and risk to human health and safety, injury and death
to animals through entanglement and ingestion, and habitat destruction. The WK&F Group
and VP Productions Travel have partnered with the Miami Beach Convention Center to
clean up their ‘adopted’ portion of the beach between 17th and 18th Streets in an interest to give back, the South Beach Group expressed interest with the Beach Sweep and
will have volunteers on hand to assist as well. In 2011, The WK&F Group and VP
Productions Travel partnered with ECOMB in the 'Beach Sweep' to help carry out their mission and demonstrate their commitment to clean public areas. 40+ of the Miami TakeOver
participants helped 'clean-up' a portion of the beach between The Shelbourne and The
Royal Palm on Sunday, July 24, 2011. We were set to continue with the Beach Sweep
for the Miami TakeOver 2012, but due to severe weather conditions, we had to cancel
the Beach Sweep. This year, the Miami Takeover committee looks forward to giving back
to the South Beach community again with a beach sweep, equipped with giveaways and
a great time for all volunteers. Be sure you’re there for this charitable afternoon in the sun
on Sunday, July 14 from 11:30am – 1:00pm. To volunteer, meet us on the sidewalk by
the beach at 17th Street at 11:00am.

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska Dj ReRe, pronounced ReeeReeee (as in remix)

ReRe has been djing since 2005 with her first gig in the radio station, now she is
living in Florida and doing live shows and parties across the U.S. She is a Rolls

Eddie Griffin on Eddie Griffin's "You Can Tell Em' I Said It" Comedy Tour since May 2011 until
present. He also made an appearance at Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Weekend 2012 at the Hard

R-JAY
Comedian R-Jay is rapidly growing as a professional while bringing stage energy like no other.

his entire performance. R-Jay has performed at many popular venues and comedy clubs
including The Miami, Palm Beach & Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Zone,

Improvs and The New York Comedy Club”, Boca Raton, Florida. R-Jay’s growing popularity has

MARCELLUS “CHELLO” DAVIS
Marcellus “Chello” Davis is a versatile actor/comedian who made his comic debut on Black
Entertainment Television’s (BET’s) Comic View. Since that time, the Miami native has performed for 106 & Park audiences, the National Rock the Vote Tour in six major cities and was
featured in the Best of Comic View. The originator of “Respect My Funny,” Chello appears as

GoGo great, Donnell Floyd. The band developed quite a reputation earning them the title “Grown & Sexy Band”
of the DMV. Now with several GoGo legends in the band, this group is sure to achieve the success that GoGo
has longed for. Familiar Faces is back, Familiar as ever, and still spectacular as ever.
Let It Flow
Let It Flow is a collective of some of the finest musicians and vocalists in the Washington Metropolitan area. Their
blend of R&B, Neo-soul and Contemporary Jazz with a generous helping of homegrown DC Go-Go is what makes
them fantastically unique. The band has shared the stage with many notables, to include: Eric Roberson, Kindred the
Family Soul, Big Daddy Kane, Kid from Kid & Play and the late, great Chuck Brown (the Godfather of Go-Go).
Vybe Band
Vybe Band was formed in 2002. Eventually Vybe layered their R&B sound over DC’s GO-GO pocket. The streets
of DC calls this style ‘Pocket Jazz’ or ‘Grown & Sexy’, but we just call it music. Vybe’s sound is heavily influenced
by “The Godfather of GO-GO’ Chuck Brown.

In 2008 with the assistance of friends, supporters and business sponsors, The
WK&F Group developed the concept for an all-inclusive weekend getaway to this
vacation haven. The Miami TakeOver aimed to provide its' participants the
opportunity to see South Beach through the clear vision of a South Beach
native/promoter instead of through the blurred sight of a first time visitor. Over
the past 5 years, we have hosted such notable Celebrity guests as Doug E Fresh,
Big Tigger, DJ SnS, Red Grant, Joe Clair, and the list goes on.
Now in its' sixth year, The Miami TakeOver has increased its'
registration to 800+ guests that booked their travel through
us, 4 Hotels, 300+ rooms and another 300+ that
purchased weekend party passes.

THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER TO CLEAN UP MIAMI BEACHES
The Miami Beach Convention Center participates in the Adopt-a-Beach Program implemented by the Environmental Coalition of Miami and the Beaches (ECOMB). The AdoptA-Beach program is not just about litter. It is also about the need for clean oceans, shorelines, and waterways. Local residents work together to create permanent solutions to shoreline and marine debris. The oceans and waterways have been a dumping ground for manmade debris for thousands of years. The harmful effects of litter are severe: negative economic and aesthetic impacts, harm and risk to human health and safety, injury and death
to animals through entanglement and ingestion, and habitat destruction. The WK&F Group
and VP Productions Travel have partnered with the Miami Beach Convention Center to
clean up their ‘adopted’ portion of the beach between 17th and 18th Streets in an interest to give back, the South Beach Group expressed interest with the Beach Sweep and
will have volunteers on hand to assist as well. In 2011, The WK&F Group and VP
Productions Travel partnered with ECOMB in the 'Beach Sweep' to help carry out their mission and demonstrate their commitment to clean public areas. 40+ of the Miami TakeOver
participants helped 'clean-up' a portion of the beach between The Shelbourne and The
Royal Palm on Sunday, July 24, 2011. We were set to continue with the Beach Sweep
for the Miami TakeOver 2012, but due to severe weather conditions, we had to cancel
the Beach Sweep. This year, the Miami Takeover committee looks forward to giving back
to the South Beach community again with a beach sweep, equipped with giveaways and
a great time for all volunteers. Be sure you’re there for this charitable afternoon in the sun
on Sunday, July 14 from 11:30am – 1:00pm. To volunteer, meet us on the sidewalk by
the beach at 17th Street at 11:00am.

blend of R&B, Neo-soul and Contemporary Jazz with a generous helping of homegrown DC Go-Go is what makes
them fantastically unique. The band has shared the stage with many notables, to include: Eric Roberson, Kindred the
Family Soul, Big Daddy Kane, Kid from Kid & Play and the late, great Chuck Brown (the Godfather of Go-Go).
Vybe Band
Vybe Band was formed in 2002. Eventually Vybe layered their R&B sound over DC’s GO-GO pocket. The streets
of DC calls this style ‘Pocket Jazz’ or ‘Grown & Sexy’, but we just call it music. Vybe’s sound is heavily influenced
by “The Godfather of GO-GO’ Chuck Brown.
