Sie herzlich willkommen in unserer Region von Maremma und
die Insel Elba. Unser ist ein gesegnetes und gastfreundliches Land, ein
Land das zu Lächeln scheint, freundlich und einladend, im Gegensatz zur
heutigen stressigen und verwirrten Umgebung. Zu oft bleibt di Tür unse‐
rer Einsamkeit hartnäckig geschlossen, trotz dem lauten Klopfen. Hier,
in unserem Land, sollte es nicht der Fall sein.
Unser Volk, mit der liebevollen Hilfe von so viel Schönheit, bietet unse‐
ren Gästen neue Erfahrungen und Möglichkeiten zur Erholung an. Nach
einem grauen und anstrengendem Jahr, mit vielen vollgepackten Tagen,
hier können Sie endlich Ihre Seele, Ihren Herz und Ihren Körper regene‐
rieren.

ein kostbares Erbe gelassen, das über dem tieferen Wissen unserer
Zivilisation und über den Fluss und Vergehen der Zeit erzählt. Es hilft

BISHOP'S WELCOME TO TOURISTS ‐ To everybody, my warm‐
est welcome in our land of Maremma and Elba; a blessed and
hospitable land, a land that seems to smile in a friendly and inviting
way, to a disoriented and hurried world.
Our boisterous and extrovert time in reality fails to be as welcoming as
it would have us believe. While knocking on the door of many who live
in solitude, too often it remains outside, since that door is stubbornly
closed. Our people, with the loving complicity of so much beauty, once
again are ready to offer to those who come to our land, a time of re‐
laxation and solace. A time that, after a year full of days cadenced by
too much dull tiredness and by an often anonymous and unfruitful
effort, will help to regenerate and rejuvenate body, heart and mind.
We would really love for your holiday to be an opportunity for ever
new, valuable and fraternal friendships. Maremma’s harsh lands, with
its coasts’ special and pretty coves and cliffs, will tell to the attentive
listeners, the wonders of our Creator. The ancient villages, almost cling‐
ing to our Churches, with their rugged palaces and rich museums, are
the custodians of the hard work and talent of many men and women
who livened up our past. In leaving us a precious heritage, they give us
reasons to go into a deeper knowledge of our civilization and into a
peaceful and fruitful meditation on the human race’s journey.
They tell us of the flow and passing of time, helping us to find ourselves
again and to soothe us. All this contributes to a vibrant and healthy
renewal so that we can later on happily return to our daily lives.

tutti il mio più cordiale benvenuto nella nostra terra di Maremma e dell’Elba. Una terra
benedetta e ospitale, una terra che sembra
sorridere, in modo amichevole e invitante, a un mondo
frettoloso e disorientato.
Il nostro tempo chiassoso ed estroverso non riesce poi
ad essere così accogliente come vorrebbe farci credere.
Pur bussando alle tante solitudini, rimane troppo spesso fuori della porta, cocciutamente chiusa.
La nostra gente, con l’amorevole complicità di tanta
bellezza, si equipaggia di nuovo per offrire, a quanti
vengono nella nostra terra, momenti di refrigerio. Un
tempo capace di rigenerare e ricreare il corpo, il cuore
e la mente, dopo un anno stracolmo di giorni cadenzati
da troppa, grigia stanchezza e da tanta fatica spesso
anonima e infruttuosa.
Come desidereremmo che questa vostra vacanza fosse
occasione anche di sempre nuove, preziose e fraterne
amicizie.
Le severe terre di Maremma, le particolari e graziose
insenature e scogliere dei nostri litorali raccontano, a
quanti si fanno attenti ascoltatori, le meraviglie del
Creatore. Gli antichi borghi, poi, quasi aggrappati alle
nostre Chiese, con i robusti palazzi e i ricchi musei
custodiscono la fatica e la genialità di tanti uomini e
donne che vivacizzarono il nostro ieri; lasciandoci una
preziosa eredità, ci offrono motivi di una più profonda
conoscenza della nostra civiltà, per una serena e fruttuosa meditazione sul cammino dell’umanità; ci raccontano del fluire e correre del tempo, aiutandoci a
rientrare in noi stessi e acquietarci.
Il tutto concorre poi a un vivace e salutare rinnovamento per ritornare lietamente al nostro quotidiano.
