1911 Indian Head Gold Coin. Minted from 1908 to 1929, the 2 1/2 dollar Indian Head represented a departure in design with no
raised edge and an incuse design--sunk below the surface of the coin. Famed sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt designed the coin. The
artistry of the design was condemned by some numismatists of the day, but that has mellowed with time. Today, Pratt's design is
recognized as part of the early 20th-century renaissance of American coinage.

clock manufacturer active in Connecticut from 1845-1875. He worked closely with Seth Thomas.

piece made for a specific reason. This one of a kind, rare secretary desk also has the United States crest carved in the center.
Possibly carved for a head of state or high ranking government official's anniversary or honorary gift. It also has magnificant carvings
in oval egg shape. The top portion is a bookcase with glass domed doors. Large secretary interior space with 3 small drawers, and
bottom section has 2 doors. This secretary desk comes apart in 4 sections and measures 97" tall from crest to bottom, 49" wide at
base. The depth at base is 20". The glass door book case has 2 adjustable shelves and measures 11" deep. This is truly a one of a
kind Exposition Piece made for a very special person! Absolutely magnificant!!!

Craftsman of New York. Measures 107" tall to the crest. Crest at top has full bust of Jenny Lind. Jenny Lind bust measures 8 1/2"
high x 5" wide. Crest measures 30 1/2" wide x 13" tall. 3 doors (center is 70" tall x 26" wide, 2 ends are 60" tall x 21" wide). Has all
the original keys, all the original adjustable shelves, sits on a 3 drawer base, comes apart in 10 pieces total, very easy for moving or
shipping. Wood is excellent, all original, crested at top with original finials. Comes down to a cornace corner moldings with carving.
We have been waiting over 20 years from the family for this piece to be offered at auction. Depth 12", width 77". Has 5 shelves in
middle section, has 5 shelves for left and right, each. Has all the original glass and we have the original key (which is very
uncommon to find with original key). If some-one is looking for a center piece for a collector's room or to put a beautiful collection
behind glass to display it properly, library collection of books, this is a very, very uncommon piece of cabintry to find in such beautiful
condition.

Walnut Magnificent Victorian w/Burl Cylinder Roll Secretary Desk w/Burl front. Well taken care of. Has an unbelievable carved crest
top, which has nothing but the best. We believe it to be morning glory flowers carved along top. Has original retainer sides to the
crest. Unbelievable burl throughout the entire pieces. Burl is all 100% condition. The carving is unbelievable - 3 dimensional carving
throughout the front crest and throughout top of doors. Cylinder roll has the double burled divided roll which pulls out to a fitted Post
Office style interior. Base has 4 drawers, all burl all original finish with original brass pulls. Unusual has 2 doors (1 to left, 1 to right) all burled. Sides are all paneled, all type, all right, all original throughout. Over 30 years of conducting auctions, we've never had a
better one to date. Magnificent carving, very unusual size. 103 in. tall x 46 in. wide. 25 in. deep, 95 in tall with out the top crest on it the "Grand Daddy" of all cylinder desks. This piece came from a wonderfully and highly decorated home, owners had impeccable
taste and many beautiful items. Surely would bring between $8,000 to $10,000 in retail market or Victorian show.

Silas Hoadley, Plymouth CT Pillar and Splat Shelf Clock, all original wooden works, nice example of a rare Hoadley wonderful clock.
In 1809 Silas Hoadley formed a clock-making partnership in Plymouth, Connecticut with Eli Terry and Seth Thomas as Terry,
Thomas & Hoadley. The partners gradually withdrew to create their own firms Ð Terry in 1810, Thomas in 1814 Ð leaving Silas
Hoadley as sole owner. He continued to make clocks until 1849.

2 end drawers above that are also felt lined that could be used for silver. First finish on piece. Period Hepplewhite sideboard c. 1810

country and blues guitarist, songwriter, luthier and inventor. Among his many honors, Paul is one of a handful of artists with a
permanent, stand-alone exhibit in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was one of the pioneers of the solid-body electric guitar, which
made the sound of rock and roll possible and is also included in the National Inventors Hall of Fame. He is also credited with many
recording innovations. He recorded with his wife, Mary Ford, in the 1950's, and enjoyed 94 years with us before his passing in 2009.
This guitar is being auctioned to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We have been collecting for St. Jude Children's

gold incising throughout the piece. Has the marble shelf, flanked drawer underneath with burl throughout the crest. Measures
approx. 56" wide x 9 1/2 feet tall. The piece is another extradinary master craftsmen built piece. Was rumored to be in a famous
railroad station and the crest removes easily at the top. The sides come off for the umbrella holders, marble top, marble shelf comes
off, drawer at base comes out, cast iron drip pans come out. We have been waiting for this piece for close to 25 years and are very

comes with 3 books by John Bigelow; Retrospections of an Active Life, Volumes 1, 2, 3, looking to be first editions, all coming from
the same estate. Also included is a photograph of William Patten's wife, Grace Bigelow Patten, who was a direct descendent of John
Bigelow (granddaughter).

Estate William L. Gilbert Mantel Clock. In nice, original condition,mantel clock with column decorations, nice clock face. "The Gilbert"
No. 2274 (Code Word "Oakland") Manufactured by William. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., U.S.A. Cir. 1920's. From 1841 to
1845 Clarke, Gilbert & Company produced inexpensive brass clocks. In 1845 William Lewis Gilbert purchased Clarke's share of the
company, but three years later, Clarke bought his shares back. The partnership lasted until 1851. The company name became W.L.
Gilbert & Company until 1866 when the Gilbert Manufacturing Company was established. In 1871 the Winsted (or Winchester)
factory burned down. Gilbert was not a quitter; he formed the William L. Gilbert Clock Company that same year. Gilbert died in 1890,
but the company name was retained for sixty-three years.

condition. This remarkable piece was thoughtfully saved from an old Connecticut movie theater that was renovated and converted
into a church. I can see this piece being purchased & displayed as a stunning conversation piece located in a foyer outside of
someone's high-end home theater room. It is not known whether this machine works or not. A brief history of the Super Simplex is

comes from William Patten of New York Estate, famed editor and illustrator, son of William Swift and Mary Hardman Patten. Married
to Grace Bigelow, whose grandfather was the John Bigelow of literary and political fame. The memorabilia and items from this
estate read like a “Who’s Who” of New York elite families from the late 19th and early 20th century! William Patten was the youngest
person to become Illustrator Editor at P.F. Collier's and Son.
