Youth Art
Exhibit debuts with the opening of the New Museum at
19 West Cork Street. Student art will be on display for
the entire year. Art education develops self-esteem and
self expression, as well as appreciation for the work of others. It also
develops critical thinking skills that will be important as children
continue their education and as they enter the adult and working world.

Museum
Store
As the move to 19 West Cork Street quickly approaches,
the Museum Store is aggressively searching and buying
all kinds of toys that encourage children to use their
minds and physical capabilities. We will be stocking well
constructed toys that engage children for more than just
a few moments at a time such as hands-on educational
games, kits, manipulatives, and books. We are excited to
offer toys that are educational as well as fun and entertaining. We are selecting items that stimulate critical thinking,
higher-order thinking and reasoning skills. In addition, it
is our goal to offer products that are aligned with exhibits
in order to take the Discovery Museum experience home.
Re-Discover the new Museum Store for all your adventure
and exploration needs.
Volunteer Spotlight
The Discovery Museum always has great opportunities for volunteers. Work in
the Art Room, help with Summer Camps, or get hands-on with our exhibits.
