Our History
1955
Unsere Industrieanlage in Scanzorosciate in der Lombardei, Provinz Bergamo, nimmt
den Produktionsbetrieb auf. Our industrial plant at Scanzorosciate in Lombardy
,province of Bergamo,begins production.
1974
Alusuisse übernimmt das Chemieunternehmen Lonza AG und baut den
Unternehmensbereich Chemikalien auf, der mit der Produktion von Polymeren
beginnt. Alusuisse buys the chemical company Lonza AG and creates a chemicals
division which starts producing polymers.
1980- 2000
Wir akquirieren Molding Compounds SpA und Regular Srl. Mit einer neuen
Fabrikanlage in Ravenna und zwei Anlagen in Scanzorosciate treten wir in den
Maleinsäureanhydrid-Markt ein. We acquire Molding Compounds SpA and Regular
Srl. We enter the market in maleic anhydride with a new plant in Ravenna and 2
plants in Scanzorosciate.
2005
Der Aufbau einer neuen Fabrik sowie einer polnischen Tochtergesellschaft als Teil
unseres Vorhabens, in Schwellenmärkte zu expandieren, wird beschlossen. We
decide to create a new plant and a Polish subsidiary as part of our policy to expand
in emerging markets.
2007
Im März wird Polynt Chemical Changzhou in Jiangsu, China gegründet. Im Juni
akquiriert Polynt Changzhou einen Produktionsstandort für die Herstellung, das
Marketing und den Verkauf von Trimellitsäureanhydrid. In March Polynt Chemical
Changzhou is established in the Chinese Jiangsu. In June Polynt Changzhou
acquires the business and assets for the production, marketing and sale of
Trimellitic Anhydride.
2009
Am 2. Januar ändert Chemial UK Ltd seinen Namen in Polynt UK Ltd. On 2nd
January Chemial UK Ltd has changed its corporate name in Polynt UK Ltd.
2012
Am 1. Januar startet Polynt Frankreich und ist dann vom Verkaufsbüro in Lyon aus
ab dem 1. April selbst für das Marketing und den Vertrieb der Polynt Produkte auf
dem französischen Markt zuständig. On 1st January Polynt France starts its activity
and from 1st April it has full responsibility of Polynt sales and marketing on the
French market from his office in Lyon.
1965
Unsere Fabrik wird von dem multinationalen Schweizer Konzern Alusuisse
akquiriert. Our plant is bought by Alosuisse, the Swiss multinational

Die Fabrik in San Giovanni Valdarno in der toskanischen Provinz Arezzo, schließt
sich dem Konzern an. The plant in San Giovanni Valdarno, in the Tuscan province
of Arezzo, joins our Group
2001
Wir akquirieren Lonza Compounds Verwaltungs GmbH und Lonza Gmbh, zwei
Unternehmen mit Sitz in Miehlen, im Südwesten Deutschlands. We acquire Lonza
Compounds Verwaltungs and Lonza Gmbh, two companies based in Miehlen, in the
south of Germany.
2006
Am 1. August wird Lonza SpA in Polynt SpA umgenannt. Am 30. Oktober wird Polynt
erstmals an der italienischen Börse im STAR-Segment notiert. Since 1st August,
Lonza SpA has adopted a new name, and has become Polynt SpA. 30th October
Polynt is listed at the Italian Stock Exchange on the STAR segment.
2008
Im April erfolgt die Übernahme der Polynt SpA und deren Delisting durch die indirekt
von Investindustrial kontrollierte Polimeri Speciali. Im August erfolgt die Übernahme
der Chemial Group. Im September fusioniert Polynt Spa mit Polimeri Speciali. Die
Fusion wird im Dezember rechtswirksam und das Unternehmen wird von Chemial
SpA in Chemial Group SpA und schließlich in Polynt SpA umbenannt. In April after
Opa, Polimeri Speciali (indirectly controlled by Invest Industrial) acquires Polynt SpA
and delisted it. In August the Chemial Group was acquired. 1st September merger
between Polynt Spa and Polimeri Speciali. On 30th December the merger becomes
legally effectively the incorporation from Chemial SpA to Chemial Group SpA and
finally to Polynt SpA.
2011
Am 18. April verkauft Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. seine nordamerikanische
Composites- und Beschichtungssparte an PCCR USA, eine Tochtergesellschaft der
Investindustrial.
Zu dem neu akquirierten Geschäft gehören die Produktionsstandorte in
Carpentersville,Ill., Ennis, Texas, Forest Park, Georgia, und Lynwood, Calif.
On 18th April Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. sells its North American
composites and coating resins business to PCCR USA, a subsidiary of
Investindustrial.The Momentive business to be purchased by PCCR includes
manufacturing locations in Carpentersville,Ill., Ennis, Texas, Forest Park, Georgia,
and Lynwood, Calif.

Produktionstechnologien
Polynt betrachtet einige der wichtigsten chemischen
Produktionstechnologien als Teil seines Fachwissens.
Die homogene Flüssigphasenoxidation und heterogene
Gasphasenoxidation sind der Ausgangspunkt für die
Herstellung
von
Phthalsäureanhydrid,
Maleinsäureanhydrid und Trimellitsäureanhydrid: diese
Prozesse basieren auf dem Gebrauch von
firmeneigenen maßgeschneiderten Katalysatoren.
Ausgehend von diesen Bausteinen und Dank spezieller
Produktionstechnologien entwickelte Polynt eine große
Produktpalette passend zu zahlreichen Anwendungen
in den verschiedensten Marktsegmenten, angefangen
bei der Elektro- über die Automobilindustrie und Medizin
bis hin zu Düften.

Veresterung:
Herstellung von Spezialestern für Lebensmittel, Düfte
und PVC-Plastifizierung.
Polyveresterung: Herstellung von ungesättigten
Polyesterharzen und polymeren PVC-Weichmachern.
Diels-Alder-Reaktionen: Herstellung von speziellen
Anhydriden zur Polymerisation von Epoxidharzen.
Hydrierung: Herstellung von Spezialestern und
speziellen Anhydriden.
Isomerisierung: Herstellung spezieller Anhydride.
Additionsreaktion: Herstellung von Äpfelsäure und
Vinylesterharzen.
Compoundierung: Herstellung von faserverstärkten
duroplastischen Formmassen.
Production Technologies
Polynt considers some of its main chemical production
techologies as part of its know how.
Homogeneous
liquid
phase
oxidation
and
Heterogeneous gas phase oxidation represent the
starting point for the production of Phthalic Anhydride,
Maleic Anhydride and Trimellitic anhydride: these
processes are based on the use of proprietary tailormade catalysts .
Starting from these building blocks and thanks to
specific production technologies , Polynt developed a
wide range of products suitable for a number of market
applications varying from electrical to automotive, from
medical to fragrances.
In this field great care is devoted to R&D activity,
technology implementation and process control in order
to satisfy the ever more demanding standards for safety
and quality that current regulations and markets are
requiring.
