Visi JUPEM
Menjadikan Jabatan Ukur Dan Pemetaan Malaysia terbilang
dalam Perkhidmatan Ukur dan Pemetaan serta pengurusan
data geospatial bagi memenuhi wawasan negara.

Misi JUPEM
Menyediakan Perkhidmatan Ukur dan Pemetaan serta
pengurusan data geospatial yang berkualiti melalui sistem
terbaik, sumber manusia yang kompeten dan persekitaran
kerja yang kondusif.

Objektif JUPEM
i.
Memastikan produk dan perkhidmatan ukur kadaster dan
pemetaan menepati sistem kualiti serta memenuhi keperluan
pelanggan;
ii.
Memastikan pewujudan dan penyelenggaraan Pangkalan Data
Ukur Kadaster dan Pemetaan yang kemaskini dan berkualiti bagi
memenuhi keperluan infrastruktur data geospatial negara;
iii. Menjadikan Jabatan Ukur Dan Pemetaan Malaysia pusat
kecemerlangan dan rujukan dalam bidang ukur kadaster dan
pemetaan; dan
iv. Memastikan penentuan, penandaan dan pengukuran sempadan
negeri dan antarabangsa memenuhi keperluan pentadbiran negeri
serta menjamin kedaulatan negara.

Fungsi JUPEM
i.
Menasihati Kerajaan dalam bidang ukur kadaster dan
pemetaan serta persempadanan negeri dan
antarabangsa;
ii. Menyediakan maklumat ukur kadaster secara lengkap
dan kekal untuk tujuan pengeluaran hakmilik tanah
strata dan stratum;
iii. Menguruskan pangkalan data ukur kadaster dan
pemetaan dengan efisien;

iv. Menerbitkan peta-peta topografi, kadaster, tematik dan
utiliti untuk tujuan perancangan, pengurusan sumber
asli, pemuliharaan alam sekitar, pembangunan,
pemantauan dan keselamatan;
v.
Menerbitkan peta-peta topografi, kadaster, tematik dan
utiliti untuk tujuan perancangan, pengurusan sumber
asli, pemuliharaan alam sekitar, pembangunan,
pemantauan dan keselamatan; dan
vi. Menyediakan infrastruktur geodetik bagi ukuran
kadaster, pemetaan, kejuruteraan dan kajian saintifik.

Peranan JUPEM
Jabatan Ukur Dan Pemetaan Malaysia adalah satu-satunya
agensi kerajaan yang menjalankan aktiviti ukuran kawalan
mendatar dan menegak untuk komuniti ukur di dalam
kerajaan, agensi swasta dan persendirian bagi tujuan
pembangunan, keselamatan dan pertahanan negara selain
menubuhkan infrastruktur ukur negara yang lengkap.

Peranan Utama JUPEM
 Mengendalikan aktiviti ukur kadaster.
 Mengendalikan aktiviti pemetaan.
 Menyediakan infrastruktur asas ukur tanah dan pemetaan.
 Pembekal utama maklumat spatial negara.
 Penyelidikan dan pembangunan.
 Menasihati Kerajaan mengenai dasar-dasar disiplin ukur
tanah dan pemetaan.
 Sebagai pusat kecemerlangan dan rujukan dalam bidang ukur

Carta Organisasi JUPEM
 Jabatan Ukur dan Pemetaan Malaysia (JUPEM) terletak di bawah
Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Alam Sekitar (NRE). la diterajui oleh
Ketua Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan (KPUP) yang juga selaku Pengarah
Pemetaan Negara dan Pengarah Pemetaan Tentera.
 Struktur organisasinya telah dibentuk dalam penyusunan semula
struktur organisasi JUPEM pada Oktober 2013, pada dasarnya
terbahagi kepada dua bahagian iaitu kadaster dan pemetaan.
Bahagian-bahagian pemetaan di ketuai oleh Timbalan Ketua Pengarah
Ukur dan Pemetaan I. Manakala Bahagian Kadaster termasuk 13
JUPEM Negeri yang diletakkan terus di bawah Timbalan Ketua
Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan II.
 Di bawah Pejabat KPUP di hubungkan terus dengan Bahagian

 Penasihat jabatan berkaitan ukuran kadaster berdasarkan kepada
peruntukan peraturan dan undang-undang dan Pekeliling Ketua
Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan Malaysia (PKPUP)
 Memastikan tugas yang diberikan kepada Jabatan Ukur Dan
Pemetaan Malaysia Negeri dijalankan dan disiapkan mengikut masa
dan sasaran yang ditetapkan.
 Memantau & memastikan kemajuan dan kualiti kerja-kerja ukur
kadaster yang dijalankan oleh Juruukur tanah Berlesen mengikut
peraturan yang ditetapkan. Semakan kerja-kerja Juruukur Tanah

Land Surveyors Board
 The Land Surveyors Board is a corporate body established on
1st May 1958, under the Licensed Surveyors Act 1958 (Act 458).
Its established is to control and regulate the licensed land
surveyors and other related matters.
 The Land Surveyors Board plays an important role in keeping
the surveying profession abreast with the latest development
and advancement survey in sciences.
 To achieve this objective, the Board is actively in contact with
professionals and academic institution, both locally and
internationally.
 Prominent members of the profession are invited to
participate in courses and seminars to upgrade the knowledge in
surveying sciences and to promote exchange of ideas.

 To regulate and control the licensing of land surveyors
and all matters pertaining to cadastral survey.
 To provide leadership in the upholding and advancement
of the survey and mapping profession.

History
 The surveyors were first recognised as a professional in 1885
with the setting up of the Survey Department.
 Prior to March 1961, there were to professional bodies
representing surveyors, The Malayan Institution of Surveyors
(the former RICS Federation of Malaya Branch) and the
Institution of Land Surveyors.
 History for surveyors was made on the 13 March 1961, when
these two bodies met at the Boardroom of the Royal Selangor
Club resolved to form then The Institution of Surveyors
(Federation of Malayan).

History
 The meeting elected Mr. Khoo Soo Guan (President), Mr. W. G. Wicks
(Vice-President), Mr. Yap Thean Ee (Honorary Secretary) and Mr. R. H.
Norris (Honorary Treasurer) as the first Committee. On 2nd December
1961, the Inaugural General Meeting was held at the Shell Theatrette in
Kuala Lumpur. About 38 fellows and members attended the meeting.
 The First Council Meeting of the Institution was held on 14th December
1961 at the Conference Room, Survey Department Head Quarters,
Montbatten Road. At the E.G.M. held on 19th June 1966, the name of the
Institution was changed to the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM).
 In the years 0f 2011, in the Extra Ordinary Annual General Meeting on
19th June 2011, the Institution rename to the Royal Institution o Surveyors
Malaysia (RISM), where the DYMM Sultan Selangor as the Parton.

Fellows (FRISM) and prefix Sr
 Every Fellow shall be more than thirty-five years of age, shall have
acquired a practical knowledge of surveying in one or other of its
branches and shall have had not less than five years professional
experience after being elected as a member of the RISM.
 No person shall be eligible for transfer to the Fellowship unless he
shall have passed the examination or examination required for election
to that class under the Rules of Examination, or such other
examination or examination accepted by the Council.
 Every Fellow shall be eligible for election to the Council, for election
or appointment to all officers of the RISM, and shall be entitled to all
its rights and privileges.

Members (MRISM) and prefix Sr
 Every Member shall be more than twenty-one years of age and shall
have acquired a practice knowledge of surveying in one or other of its
branches.
 No person shall be eligible as Member who shall not have passed
the examinations required for election to that class under the Rules of
Examination, or such other examination or examinations accepted by
the Council.
 Members shall not be eligible foe the office of President or Deputy
President but subject to the By-Laws and regulation of the Council,
shall be eligible for election or appointment to other offices of the
RISM, and shall be entitled to all its rights and privileges.

Associates
 Any person from time to time who is not a surveyor by
profession but one who, be reason of his pursuits, has made
a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge
in the surveying profession shall be eligible for election as
an Associate.
 Associates shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of
the RISM except that they shall not be eligible to hold any
office of the RISM nor have rights of voting.

Honorary Fellows
 Every Honorary shall be a person who by reason either of his
position or experience, or of his eminence in science, may be
enabled to render assistance in promoting the objects of the
RISM but who is not engaged in practice as a surveyor in
Malaysia.
 Any Honorary Fellow shall not be entitled to be present or
take part in any Extraordinary General Meeting but he shall have
the privilege of being present at and taking in all Annual and
Ordinary General Meetings and access to the Library. He shall
have no right of voting, discussing, or otherwise intervening in
the affairs of the RISM nor shall be called upon to contribute to
its funds.

Graduate Members
Graduate Members shall be persons who have passed the
Final Examination or such other examination, if any, as may
be accepted by the Council and who have yet to acquire a
practical knowledge in surveying in one or other of its
branches.

Probationers Members
Probationers Members shall be persons who have passed
the intermediate examination, or such other examination, if
any, as may be accepted by the Council and such a person
may continue as a Probationers until the end of the fifth
calendar year after that in which he has passed such
examination, provided always that the Council shall have
power to vary the period of probation either generally or in
the case of particular persons.

Students Members
Students Members shall be persons not under seventeen years
of age who are or have been undergoing suitable practice
training and instruction approved by the Council as pupils or
assistants or who are studying with a view to entering the
profession at such places of professional instruction as the
Council may approve; and such persons may continue as
Students until they passed the intermediate examination or such
other examination, if any, as may be accepted by the Council or
until the end of the fifth calendar year from the date upon which
they shall have been enrolled into the class whichever happens
first; provided always that the Council shall have power to vary
the period of studentship either generally or in the case of
particular persons.
