Vor dem Backen nochmals 30 Minuten gehen lassen. Mit dem Messer oben ein Kreuz einschneiden. Mehlmasse aus Mehl und Wasser in das Kreuz streichen. Nochmals kurz gehen lassen. Im Ofen erst 10 Minuten bei ca. 220 Grad backen, dann weitere knappe 20 Minuten bei ca. 100 Grad. Mit flüssiger Marmelade oder Syrup bestreichen.
