WHICH SHOULD I THREAD BARRELS FOR?
Win-Choke®-style tubes are thicker and generally more
available. Tru-Choke™ Standard-style tubes are thinner,
and the Tru-Choke™ Thinwall-style tubes thinner yet, so a
far wider range of barrels can be threaded to accept them.
But, they are less available. Ideally, you would have tooling
for all three styles and thread barrels for: Win-Choke®-style
tubes when they are thick enough; Tru-Choke™ Standardstyle on thinner barrels; Tru-Choke™ Thinwall-style tubes
on the thinnest 12 ga. side-by-side and over-under barrels.
But, that’s a lot of money. So, measure the barrels of commonly used shotguns in your area, check “Screw-In Choke
Installation Requirements” and buy the tooling that will
convert the most guns.

entry operation. Twelve, equally spaced ports redirect combustion gases to reduce felt recoil and prevent barrel damage when

FACTORY CHOKE TUBE
Before accepting a barrel for machining to accept screwin chokes, you must measure the outside diameter (O.D.)
to determine if there will be sufficient wall thickness after
machining. “Mike” the O.D. of the barrel and the O.D. of
the tap for the particular gauge. Subtract the O.D. of the
tap from that of the barrel, divide by 2, and this will give
the wall thickness after machining, providing the O.D. of
the barrel is concentric with the inside diameter (I.D.). A
sample calculation appears below.

We DO NOT recommend installations in barrels where
the resultant wall thickness will be less than .015", providing the I.D. of the barrel is concentric with the O.D. If
the I.D. is not concentric with the O.D., you will have to
make your own decision as to whether the installation
will be safe. In addition, you CANNOT install screw-in
chokes in barrels whose inside diameters (I.D.) exceed
the following dimensions: 10 ga. - .780"; 12 ga. - .735";
12 ga.Thinwall - .728"; 16 ga. - .666"; 20 ga. - .624". Exceeding these dimensions WILL CAUSE DAMAGED CHOKE
TUBES and there is a GREAT POSSIBILITY OF CAUSING A BARREL BLOW-OUT! Check EVERY installation
before firing to make sure the tube does not protrude into
the bore. Back-bored or jug-choked barrels are usually
NOT suitable for screw-in choke installation.

weapon. 20" long barrel chambered for 2¾" and 3" magnum 12
gauge loads features a fixed cylinder choke for maximum pattern coverage at combat ranges. White bead front with adjustable, U-notch rear sight helps provide rifle-like accuracy when
shooting slugs at longer distances. Magazine extension threads
solidly into the receiver to provide 8-rounds of firepower; knurled
takedown screw retains the tube in the magazine support on the
barrel to eliminate the need for a separate barrel clamp. Includes
extended-length magazine spring for reliable feeding.
SPECS: Barrel - Steel, blued finish. 20" (51cm) long. Smoothbore,
