STEEL FIBER BLOWING MACHINE
Werkhuizen Hengelhoef started to develop and produce steel fiber blowing machines more than 20 years ago and
they have an excellent reputation for performance and reliability. These machines are now employed throughout
the world and are responsible for adding hundreds of tonnes of steel fibers into concrete on a daily basis.
Technical & Mechanical characteristics
Build on a mobile trailer unit
Load capacity: 2700 kg
4.70 meters large by 1.8 meters wide by 3.3 meters high
Lombardini or Hatz diesel engine
With or without sound protection,
depending on required specifications.
The level of the machine can be easily adjusted by means of the three
hydraulic supports 2 in front of the machine and 1 at the side of the
command panel. Large plates are mounted onto the supports to provide
support on different terrains.
Steel fibers are placed into the stainless steel loading tray which is
then tilted hydraulically to allow fibers to be discharged into the fiber
separator unit. (Optimum packaging for steel fibers is 25 to 50kg bags/
boxes)
Once separated the fibers are blown at high velocity into concrete via an
adjustable transport tube.

The fan and separator unit are hydraulically driven. The tilt tray upper
filling tube and the 3 supports are adjusted by means of hydraulic
cylinders. All cylinders are equipped with pressure driven valves. The
hydraulic system is balanced so that none of the movements interfere
with the overall machine operation.
The hydraulic reservoir has sufficient capacity to avoid heating during
intensive use. The gasoil reservoir has a capacity of 50 litres which gives
an operating period of 8 hours at full power.
All hydraulic commands are mounted on the central command panel
which is situated on the rear of the machine, close to the loading tray.
The loading tray, separator unit, transport tube and battery housing are
all manufactured from stainless steel. The hydraulic reservoir, fan and
supports are manufactured from coated steel and the trailer decking
from aluminium.
Our fiber blowing machines can also be supplied with concrete
admixture dosing equipment which facilitates accurate dispensing of
admixtures directly into the concrete mixer.
