For Sorrow kicks off the final season as
Lewis tries to prove himself to a new boss
and Hathaway deals with two murders and

Opus traces a series of murders linked by
mysterious imagery (8/14 9PM). What
Lies Tangled sees Lewis and Hathaway
investigate a bombing with a surprising
motive (8/21 9PM).
The Tunnel The French police capture the
prime suspect, but lose the prisoner when
Elise goes missing (8/7 10:30PM). The
police come close to recapturing the killer,
but things take a nasty turn for Karl (8/14
10:30PM). In the season finale, Karl begins
to fall apart as a the detectives begin a
high stakes, hair-raising showdown with the

Downton Abbey on MASTERPIECE Classic
The First World War rages on as Matthew and other young men from the manor go to war,
while the women pitch in (8/6 9PM). The Abbey is turned into a convalescent home while
a secret comes out and Branson seizes a political chance (8/13 9PM). Isobel and Cora
argue over the good of their charges (8/20 9PM). I Miss Downton Abbey revisits treasured

Nixon ended American involvement in the
Vietnam War, reopened relations with China,
and saw America land on the moon. He
limited federal government, legislated school
desegregation, and established the EPA, but
resigned after the Watergate scandal.

He set the stage for space exploration and led
the country through a prosperous period. But
he neared nuclear disaster when he faced off
against the USSR in Cuba and Vietnam, and
was assassinated before the end of his term.

August 10: Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th, 1963—1969
Sworn in after Kennedy’s assassination,
Johnson worked to promote civil rights,
signing the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights
Act, as well as anti-poverty legislation. He also
escalated military action in the Vietnam War.
What other legislation did Johnson sign?

the most decorated American weightlifter in the history

Churchill’s Secret

Based on true events, the film follows
Winston Churchill at age 78, in his second
term as prime minister, when he suffers a
severe stroke during a state dinner. Whisked
away from prying eyes to his country home,
he relies on a remarkable young nurse to
help him recover from near death. Michael
