The SystemPlus experts from Hellmann Worldwide Logistics determined this after they had to tackle the following task: a sample
cake was to be transported from Osnabruck in Germany to the
branch of an American fast food chain in Madrid. The staff of a
newly set up cafe area required the valuable cake for training
purposes.
The transportation of the refrigerated treat was not to take longer
than 48 hours. “It turned out that this was a matter for the road
freight experts as the colleagues from the courier express services
had refused the job“, reported Markus Ortmann, SystemPlus
Product Manager at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
The Hellmann staff embedded the cake in a packaging which
had been filled with dry ice and then brought it to the European
SystemPlus HUB in Niederaula. The refrigerated cargo was
transported to Barcelona overnight and from here, to the Spanish
capital Madrid. A local delivery vehicle driver took over there so
that it reached its destination on time.

Die Hellmann-Mitarbeiter betteten die Torte in eine mit Trockeneis gefüllte Verpackung und brachten sie auf den Weg zum
europäischen SystemPlus-HUB in Niederaula. Nachts ging die
gekühlte Ladung auf die Reise nach Barcelona. Und von dort
aus in die spanische Hauptstadt Madrid. Dort wurde sie von
einem lokalen Zustellfahrzeug übernommen und erreichte so
fristgerecht das Ziel.
Das stellten die SystemPlus-Experten von Hellmann Worldwide
Logistics fest, als ihnen folgende Aufgabe gestellt wurde:

amerikanischen Fastfood-Kette in Madrid geliefert werden.
Hier benötigte das Personal eines neu eingerichteten
Café-Bereichs das wertvolle Backwerk zu Trainingszwecken.
Der Transport der gekühlten Leckerei durfte 48 Stunden nicht
überschreiten. „Es stellte sich heraus, dass dies eine Sache für
Landverkehrsexperten war. Denn die Kollegen von den KurierExpress-Diensten hatten den Auftrag abgelehnt“, berichtet
Markus Ortmann, Produktmanager SystemPlus bei Hellmann
Worldwide Logistics.
