Wunderschöne Melodien, hervorragend produziert, durchdachte musikalische Strukturen, sehr komplex oft

Im Jahr 1984 wurde mit Diamond Life im englischen Sprachraum ein neues Genre der Pop-Musik namens
Sophisti-Pop geschaffen. Popmusik für Erwachsene und Genießer sozusagen. Die Band um Sängerin Sade
Adu kreierte intelligente und ganz außergewöhnlich sanfte Melodien um eine seltsam distanzierte und
gleichzeitig einschmeichelnde Gesangsstimme erinnerten eher and gute Jazzsängerinnen. Der Titelsong
Smooth Operator wurde schon vor der Veröffentlichung der LP zu einem weltweiten Hit und legte den
Grundstein für eine ganze Reihe an Alben in eben diesem Stil.
Die Audio Fidelity LP erscheint als neu gemasterte 180g Pressung im Klappcover mit eingedruckten Texten
und fortlaufender Seriennummer. Kevin Gray zeichnet sich für den LP Schnitt verantwortlich und die LP ist

Diamond Life spawned the band's first Top 10 U.S. hit, the bossa nova-tinged, "Smooth Operator", with its

the retro-funk of "When Am I Going To Make A Living", the tender and lovely "I Will Be Your Friend", as well
