it is my pleasure to cordially invite you to our 7th annual
Surgery Workshop at the St. Elisabeth-Hospital in Leipzig.
This years event will focus on surgical procedures and techniques in urogynecology, endourology and laparoscopy,
which will be demonstrated in live surgeries transmitted from
2 operating theatres. Presentations regarding the surgeries
will supply background information.
Various specialists in attendance will discuss advances in
urooncology and medical tumor therapy. For example, developments in the treatment of testicular cancer, and the emergence of checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of urothelial
and renal cell carcinoma.

Dear Guests and Colleagues,
it is a great pleasure for me to have you all here for the 7th
International Surgery-Workshop “Innovation in Urology”.
I would especially like to greet those of you, who are visiting
“St. Elisabeth Hospital Leipzig” for the first time. During the
next three days, you will experience an interesting and exciting program. Since our last meeting, there have been substantial advancements in the field of urology, uro-gynaecology
and uro-oncology. There are new developments in diagnostic
methods, operative techniques and new medical therapies.
A selection of these innovations will be presented and discussed during the next three days. We will reevaluate the therapeutic aims and assess the benefits to our patients.
I want to take the opportunity to wish each and every one of
you a successful program with constructive discussions, new
scientific approaches and interesting encounters. At the same
time I would like to thank all the speakers, organizers and
above all our head of the Department Dr. med. Jörg Raßler.

absolved.

Laparoscopy-Trainer.
The Company Erbe is providing a trainer for the Hybrid Knife-Technique to train en bloc resection of
NMIBT.
