Our Scout and Road Captain Hubert has been to Nepal in May for three weeks. He has
inspected all roads of the routing and has given us assurances that we can do this tour
without any special hazards, (itinerary below).
For each and every participant we will put 300€ into the donation pool. All the guides have
set aside 500€ from their salary for this project. We will visit our projects at the end of the
tour and would like to personally hand over the collected donations. We will get to know the
projects and the people behind them.
First of all, here are some bits of information about this very special Nepal bike tour.
Nepal – the Hindu kingdom in the Himalayas, green, lush fields in a hilly landscape, ice
capped mountains of more then 8.000m, raging rivers, jungles and rain forests, spectacular
mountain roads historical sites with palaces, old towns with bazaars and remote villages with
stunning flora and fauna all around us. This travel destination is truly one of its kind and we
have put together a very unique bike tour. It is and remains one of the best countries that
can be explored on a motorcycle.
This October motorcycle tour has become a “Bikers Solidarity Ride“.

Notwithstanding the earthquake we can do the tour safely without missing out on any of the
highlights. We have two days at the end of the Nepal Motorcycle tour where we are going to
visit our projects in the earthquake hit regions of Nepal.
The exact itinerary on day 11,12 and 13 of the tour will be sorted out at a later stage in the
coming weeks. The “Last Resort“ near the border to Tibet and the “Charikot Panorama
Resort“ have been hit pretty badly by the earthquake. But we want to visit them anyway,
even if we have to do without some comfort. We will sleep in tents most probably.

1. Day:
04.Okt 2015
Arrival in Kathmandu, bus transfer to Mugling. Overnight stay at
„Riverside Spring Resort“
Arrival 2:00pm at the latest in Kathmandu. Our man in Kathmandu will be waiting
for you at the airport with a „MOTORRAD action team“ placard. Change at least
100€ or more at the airport. For early arrivals we can organize a day room at the
„Summerhill Resort“. At 2:00 pm luxury bus will be standing by to take us to our
hotel near Mugling, about 140 km from Kathmandu, about 3 hrs. During the ride,
we’ll be getting our first impressions of what to expect in the next two weeks

during our Nepal Motorcycle Tour. The view through the dusty windows will
leave no doubt that we’ve arrived in a completely different world.
We are staying at the comfortable „Riverside Spring Resort“. After getting to
know each other we will have our „Welcome Dinner“, featuring Nepalese
specialities.
2. Day:
05.Okt 2015
After a short briefing and a leisurely breakfast we start our first „Warming-up“ –
stage to Gorhka and then to Bandipur.
Now its time for a tour briefing and to collect our Enfield motorcycles. We’ll have
enough time to get to know the bikes and practice on the parking lot in front of
the resort. A bit of training in a quiet area is time well-spent for our safety,
considering the chaotic traffic on Nepal’s main roads, especially the „Prithvi
Rajmarg“ highway. Driving on the left and shifting on the right takes a bit of
getting used to.
Our first taste of the open countryside will be on a quiet little road that winds its
way through the Himalayan foothills. The tiny mountain town of Gorkha is
virtually untouched by tourism, located amid terraced hill slopes at an altitude of
around 1,200 meters. It’s famous for its Shah Dynasty palaces and temples
dating back to the 17th century. After that its back down the „Pokhara Highway“
where we turn off after 20 km in order o take a small mountain road up towards
Bandipur, a beautifully restored Newari trading town. Overnight stay is in a
typical Newari house the „Old Inn“. This will be a highlight since it has only
recently been added to the tour program.

Von Bandipur to Begnas Lake
After breakfast, we’ll be taking things much easier in the saddles of our bikes,
cruising through fertile valleys until we reach Begnas lake. We are staying right
at the lake shore at the stylish „Begnas Resort“.
4. Day:

Scenic panorama ride below the Annapura – massif to Baglung, in the
afternoon arrival at Pokhara
The route to Baglung is a 70km ride on a newly built and less frequented road
leading us to the Western edge of the Annapurna –massif, many breath-taking
vistas and fascinating landscapes are to be expected.. After that we pass
Nuwakot (the paragliding starting point above Lake Phewa) and reach Pokhara.
In the afternoon there will be time to relax at Lake Phewa and/or take a rental
rowboat and enjoy the spectacular view of the Annapurna, also you can take a
trip to a Tibetan refugee camp combined with a visit of a Buddhist monastery.
We will stay for the night at the simple but ideally located lakeside “Hotel Monal”,
with its renown restaurant „Zorba the Buddha“. In the evening there is a visit to a
local pub with live music!

5. Day:
08.Okt 2015
Pokhara – Siddharta Highway – Thansen
130 km deserted mountain roads with plenty of curves on the „Siddharta –
Highway“, named after the Buddha „Siddharta Gautama“. Well, maybe even
bikers get a bit of inspiration here… In the afternoon we reach the trading town
of Thansen at 1.500 m along the ancient Silk Road. In the old town with all its
shops and handicrafts time seems to have stopped when the last camel
caravans passed by. We will have a feast at the „Naglo West“- beer garden
where they serve Nepalese specialities. Our night will be spent in the best place
in town (there are only two , so don’t get your hopes up too high), which is the
hotel „Srinagar“ high above the town offering a spectacular view onto the eastwesterly 8.000m Daulagiri. – Optional : Perhaps we can visit and stay at an
organic farm for the first time, 12 km from Thansen. A true homestay at a local
farm. The rooms are simple and there are some tents. At the moment it is not
clear yet if they will be ready to accommodate our group in October.
6. Day:
09.Okt 2015
Thansen – Mahendra Highway – Royal Chitwan National Park
From Thansen, we’ll be descending through rocky gorges to the tropical Terai
plain. Things seem very Indian down there on the plain, which does indeed
extend from the slopes of the Himalayan foothills to the coast of the Indian
ocean. Even the towns seem to exude the unmistakable flair of India – not
surprising, since Butwal, one of the two towns we will be passing through, is only
20 km from the Indian border. We’ll be spending the night in Sauhara, just
outside the Royal Chitwan National Park, in the stylish „Royal Park Hotel“, the
best jungle lodge in Sauhara. Dinner will be followed by a slide show about
Nepal’s wildlife. We’ll round the evening out with a nightcap at the campfire,
watching the sun set over the river.
7. Day:
10.Okt 2015
Chitwan National park
No riding today. We’ll be getting up very early and taking an elephant safari into
the national park to see wild rhinos – and leopards, if we’re lucky. After
breakfast, we’ll take dugout canoes to visit the residents of Crocodile Creek.
Participants wanting to see tigers can join the trekking tour into the jungle. With a
bit of luck, you may briefly see one of these lone predators from a few hundred
meters away. (It can’t hurt to have a bit of space between yourself and the tiger
when you’re on foot.)
Second overnight stay in the „Royal Park Hotel“, the finest safari lodge in the
vicinity.
8. Day:
11.Okt 2015
On the “Rajpath Mountain Road” crossing 2.600m Kulekhani-Pass and
further on into the Kathmandu Valley and up again to the Nagarkote
Hillstation
We can look forward to an exciting day in the saddle today. We’ll be taking one
of Nepal’s most beautiful mountain roads, the Rajpath highway, across
Kulekhani Pass (2,600 m).

Nagarkote lies at 2.100m altitude and offers a grand view onto the snow covered
7.000m peaks of the Langtang-Lirung-Massif.
Overnight stay at the „Hotel Country Villa“, a quiet and comfy lodge with a great
view.
09. Day:

From Nagarkote to the “Last Resort” near the border with Tibet
If lucky, early risers will get a splendid view of the Mt. Everest at sunrise. A once
in a lifetime experience! After a hearty breakfast we start down the “ArnikoHighway” towards the Tibetan border. Today we will visit one of our support
projects, the Dubachaur village where our friends from the bike club FORE are
already doing their bit and helping where they can. We want to chip in as well.

After that we drive along the Bothe Kosi river towards the Tibet border. We reach
the legendary “Last Resort” and sleep ‘al fresco’ in a tent. (But with real beds!)
10. Day:
13.Okt 2015
“The Last Resort” – the Adventure Resort at Bothe Kosi-River
Today we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some spectacular white-water river
rafting, which is another highlight of our magic Nepal motorcycle tour. You
shouldn’t miss it, this is truly an untamed river (payment on location, approx.
USD 30.00). Afterward, there will still be time to take your Enfield motorcycle
around 20 km up a dusty trail to the Tibetan border checkpoint at Kodari Bridge.
And anyone in need of a major adrenaline rush can go for a bungee jump into
the 160-meter deep gorge at the Last Resort (approx. USD 70.00)
We will organize a half-day trekking excursion to a neighbouring village where
we will visit some reconstruction projects. We would like to choose one particular
project for us. It will be looked after and organized by the team of “The Last
Resort”.

Last Resort – Charikot
After breakfast at the “Borderland Resort “ we drive until we reach the „Jiri-Road”
junction. The road has been built by a Swiss development aid program. It is a
romantic ever winding road through green forested mountain sides, offering
spectacular views onto the 7.000 and 8.000 snow-giants.
The day trip ends in the afternoon at the small mountain town of Charikot (2.000
m). We usually stay at the nice and cosy “Charikot Panorama Resort“. Since this
resort has been almost utterly destroyed by the earthquake we will sleep in tents
which have been set up by the Swiss/Nepali owners for all those who come to
help until the resort is re-built and ready to function properly again.

12. Day:
15.Okt 2015
Day trip to Jiri and a visit to our village project in Shitali
100 km bends and curves, pure biking bliss, up and down we go. But also today
we will visit one of our emergency aid projects in Shitali. We started a premonsoon aid project here and are currently in the planning stages of building a
new earthquake-proof school in Shitali, built in the traditional style. In the
evening we’ll enjoy a chilled beer at a warm bonfire in the tent camp in
Charikote.

Charikot – Kathmandu
We start early today because we have a full schedule. Some curvy 100km later
we reach the Kathmandu Valley in the afternoon We will first visit Bhaktapur, one
of the three historic royal cities in the Kathmandu valley with a beautiful old town
near Durbar Square.
There are just some kilometres more and we find ourselves at the very quiet and
cosy „Summerhill Guest House“ in Patan, where we will stay for the last two
nights.

Kathmandu – Pattan
We’ll start the day with a visit to Kathmandu’s old city bazaar, taking in a
fascinating mix of Asian markets, quaint temples and narrow alleyways. If there
is enough time we will also see the Hindu holy site Pashupatinath. Another site
to see: Swayambhunath, the famous monkey temple high above the main town,
situated on a hill. In the evening we have a fine Farewell-Dinner, typically
Nepalese of course in Pattan, also called Lalitpur, after that its back to your
home food staples…

You will take the transfer to Kathmandu Airport from where you fly to your
destinations.
>> Travelling to exotic countries with a somewhat limited tourist infra-structure might
lead to unexpected changes in the program if deemed necessary.

Nepal Motorcycle Tour October 2015 - General Information
Gear: Please bring your own protective clothing and helmet. Also be sure to bring
your wet-weather gear to help ensure that it won’t rain. Other helpful items: A
flashlight – ideally a headband-mounted one. A Leatherman tool or Swiss army knife
can be useful. Sunglasses are essential. A personal drinking bottle is also very
convenient.
The Enfield motorcycles are equipped with sturdy leather saddlebags. We
nevertheless recommend a waterproof daypack for your most essential items, or a
tail bag with mounting straps that will let you easily remove everything from the bike
and take it with you anytime.
You should keep drugs (diarrhoea and cold medication, vitamins, etc.) and other
personal items (sun blocker, insect repellent) within convenient reach. On the topic of
medication, a shot of Jägermeister, Fernet Branca or a similar herbal digestive can
work wonders in case of problems with the local cuisine. These are not available
locally, so please stock up at home if you have a sensitive stomach.
Currency:
You are not allowed to bring Nepalese currency into the country or take it out. You
may bring unlimited amounts of foreign currency into the country. We recommend
euro banknotes in EUR 50.00 and EUR 100.00 denominations. Our guide will assist
you in changing money. US dollars are not required. American Express Traveller’s
Cheques (EUR 100.00 or US dollar denominations) are accepted in Kathmandu and
Pokhara, but are not essential. Credit cards (Maestro, Visa and MasterCard) can be
used in Kathmandu, but not in the rest of the country. Cash advances are very easy
to obtain at the new ATMs in Kathmandu and Pokhara, provided you know your
card’s PIN.
You will need the equivalent of around EUR 200.00 to EUR 300.00 for drinks, lunch
and tips for the duration of your stay.
Documents:
Please be sure to carry photocopies of all of your important travel documents such as
your passport, driving license and flight ticket for emergencies.
Arrival:
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of your stay.
Please check with your local Nepalese embassy for the visa regulations that apply to
your nationality. The visa can be obtained in advance at any Nepalese embassy or
consulate, or at the airport on arrival (a single-entry tourist visa valid for 60 days
currently costs EUR 30.00; two passport-size photos are required. We will send you a
visa application and further information together with your booking confirmation.
Import regulations:
Up to 20 films, 200 cigarettes and 1 litre of alcohol may be imported duty-free. All

international film and battery types are available in Nepal. Customs checks of arriving
tourists have become considerably less strict in recent years.
Food:
Western food is not generally available, so we’ll be eating simple vegetarian meals
and regional specialties throughout the tour. Breakfast and dinner are included in the
price of the tour and will be served to the group. Hearty breakfasts will not always be
available.
We can, however, promise you a wide range of cuisine, with a special emphasis on
local specialties. In general, less meat is served in Nepal – chicken being the most
common non-vegetarian food –, but therefore plenty of vegetables, legumes and rice.
Nepalese cuisine is generally well-spiced and not overly hot.
Beer in Nepal is up to international standards; the most common brands being
Tuborg, Carlsberg and San Miguel. The local Chang beer is also quite effective but
requires a bit of getting used to. Wine – when it’s available – is even more of an
acquired taste than Chang. The very good, local Khukri rum is definitely the better
choice. Bottled water can be purchased anywhere and must be carried individually.
We also recommend carrying some Fernet Branca or a similar herbal digestive for
medicinal purposes.
During the day, we’ll be stopping for small refreshments and snacks, generally at
basic local restaurants and roadside tea shops.
Riding skills required for the Magic Nepal Bike Tour:
You should be confident in handling a motorcycle on paved roads. Unpaved sections
or rough gravelly trails should not be a problem for you. Roughly 90% of the roads
we will be taking are paved.
Driving license:
All riders must have a valid motorcycle driving license issued in their home country.
An international driving license is also required. Be sure to contact the relevant
authorities in your home country well in advance for more information on obtaining an
international driving license.
Baggage:
Your baggage will be transported in the support vehicle. Don’t pack too much –
remember: less is more. From time to time, we’ll have to carry our own baggage over
short distances to the hotel. Baggage is not insured, so please be sure to purchase
your own baggage insurance for the trip if necessary. Your personal items for the day
are best kept in the saddlebags or your daypack. Tank bags – including magnetic
ones – can be used on the Enfields, but we do not provide them.
Health:
Tropical diseases do not exist in the Himalayas. A bit of prevention will ensure that
plague, hepatitis and amoebic dysentery are not an issue. Malaria is only relevant in

the Terai. Except for Kathmandu and the Terai, the air and water in Nepal is clean,
and our food and its preparation is completely hygienic.
You should always use purified water – or better yet, bottled water – for drinking and
brushing your teeth. The most frequent health disorders on our past tours were
hangovers after long evenings around the campfire, and mild cases of diarrhoea that
usually last a day or two and disappear without complications.
Altitude sickness is hardly a problem on our tours in Nepal, as we rarely stay at
altitudes greater than 2,000 meters for extended periods. Our tour dispensary is a
small treasure chest for emergencies. We’re prepared to deal with almost any
problem. In cases where we cannot provide adequate help on the spot, we will
organize the appropriate measures quickly, conscientiously and in a professional
manner. We do expect you to be in good health and physically fit, however.
Vaccinations are currently not required for northern India and Nepal, but most
physicians recommend immunization against hepatitis A and B. This is now available
as a combined vaccine that is generally advisable for serious travellers. Immunization
against tetanus and polio is essential in any case. In addition to any personal
prescription medicines you may need, we recommend carrying medication against
diarrhoea, insect bites, fever and colds.
With regard to malaria, please contact your physician or an institute for tropical
diseases to discuss whether prophylaxis or the subsequent treatment of an actual
infection would be more appropriate for you. That also applies to the vaccinations
recommended above. It is important to clarify all medical matters well in advance so
that you do not have to receive multiple immunizations at the same time.
Deposit:
Riders must make a deposit of EUR 500.00 in traveller’s cheques or cash for their
bikes. The deposit will be returned when the bike is returned in good condition. The
deposit also corresponds to the comprehensive insurance deductible for damage to
the rented bike and damage or injuries to third parties. Please see the Motorcycle
section for more information on insurance.
Clothing:
Whatever you need for riding and leisure at temperatures between 5° and 30°C,
including swimwear. You should also be prepared for cold nights at higher elevations
in the Himalayas, with temperatures that may drop below freezing. Rugged clothing
is advisable. Formal evening attire will definitely not be required.
Cell phones:
GSM phones do not work in Nepal. There are ISD-STD Booths
everywhere. In case of emergencies you can get the mobile from
the guides or at the hotel. You can also get pre paid cards in
Nepal.

Group:
The minimum number of participants is 6, maximum 11 riders
per Road Captain/Guide. There will be 2 guides, so max. 22 bikes can
do this tour. We will travel in two separate groups. The Jeep holds a
maximum of 5 passengers who don’t ride bikes
Hotels:
Our hotels have been selected with care and vary from basic to
upper midrange standards. Some are especially comfortable or
well-situated, others have excellent cuisine or atmosphere, but
they all have in common that they warmly welcome motorcyclists.
Most have an en suite bath. The nights in the earthquake zone
will be spent in tents, we recommend to bring your own sleeping
bags, you can buy them in Kathmandu for a bargain.
Single rooms:
Many of the locations we cover do not have a highly developed
tourist infrastructure, so requests for single rooms can only be
accommodated where the local hotel situation permits. We
cannot guarantee the availability of single rooms at all times.
We’re confident that our tour guide will be able find a mutually
acceptable solution wherever necessary, however.
Climate in Nepal: Expect sunny weather with daytime highs of 15° to 30°C, with
night-time temperatures ranging from below freezing to 20°C,
depending on the altitude and weather conditions. Chances of
rain in February, March, October and November are around 5%,
with good to excellent visibility. There are no guarantees against
freak weather conditions, of course. UV radiation is extremely
high due to the clear air. Be sure to take plenty of sunscreen.
Motor bikes:
Enfield India Bullet 500
The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 stands out from the current crop of
retro-styled bikes like the Kawasaki W 650 in one important
respect – the fact that its 1950s design is genuine. The Bullet is
manufactured in India and features a torque long-stroke singlecylinder 500cc engine that delivers 24 bhp at 4,600 rpm. The
bike, which weighs in at 168 kg, has a five-speed gearbox and a
top speed of just over 120 kph. All bikes now feature a dualpiston front disk brake. The original front drum brakes and their
marginal performance are now history. The drum brake has been
retained in the rear, where it’s perfectly adequate. Our fleet
consists entirely of new Enfield motorcycles with electric starters,
5-speed gearboxes and gearshifts on the left.

Single-cylinder four-stroke, 499cc, 16 kW (24 bhp) at 4,600 rpm,
168 kg, seat height 75 cm, 123 kph.

Our Enfields are well maintained, naturally, some of them bear
the minor battle scars typical of rental motorcycles. Technically,
they are all in top shape and perfectly suited to the planned
tours. They’re tremendous fun to ride, and their handling is safe
and predictable after a brief familiarization period. Our average
speeds on the Magic Nepal Motorcycle tour range from 40 to 60
kph, depending on the roads.
The bikes have comprehensive insurance, with €500.00
deductible that must be paid as a cash deposit when collecting
the bike. Important note: The deductible also applies to damage
or injury to third parties. In practice, the rider is initially liable for
the full damages. The costs are later refunded by the insurance
company, minus the deductible (Not to worry, however: damages
rarely exceed USD 1,500.00, even in accidents involving serious
personal injury). When booking the tour, please read and sign
the included rental agreement and return it to us together with
the booking form.
Road conditions along the Nepal motorcycle tour route:
During the bike tour, We will mainly be taking quiet country roads
and narrow, often dizzying mountain passes. Over 90% of the
roads are paved, and are mostly in surprisingly good condition.
We will occasionally encounter badly deteriorated paved roads,
potholed gravel roads and unpaved mountain tracks. You should,
however, always be alert to occasional potholes, rough surfaces,
and loose gravel in curves, even on well-paved roads. The
flexible, considerate driving style of the locals makes it easy to
adjust to driving on the left and coping with the seemingly chaotic
traffic conditions. The behaviour of pedestrians and cyclists, and
the frequent presence of animals on the road call for
considerably more attention, however. Extreme caution is
required around children.
Day schedule on the Magic Nepal Bike Tour:
A travel day normally begins at 8:00 am with breakfast. This is
followed by a short briefing by the guide at around 9:00 am, and
the day’s riding, the mileage of which can vary considerably.
Plenty of time will be available for lunch and coffee breaks, of
course. A times, it can be a good idea to get up very early to
enjoy the view of the surrounding snow-capped mountains in the
clear morning air. The humidity tends to rise over the course of
the day, with haze reducing the visibility.

Our partner company in India is responsible for booking the
hotels and additional program, as well as providing the
motorcycles and guides. This agreement has been drawn up to
provide legal security for both the participants and the organizer

by stating the terms of the tour, especially with regard to the
rental and use of the motorcycle. Please read and sign the
enclosed copy and return it to us together with the booking form.
Important note: We cannot provide a motorcycle in Nepal
without this signed agreement.
Insurance:
We have already mentioned our recommendations regarding
useful insurance policies at the appropriate places in the tour
description. However, travel health insurance and travel accident
insurance is mandatory for taking part in this tour. You must carry
appropriate proof of insurance during the tour. We also
recommend taking out baggage insurance for the duration of the
trip.

VEREINBARUNG FÜR DIE CLASSIC BIKE REISE
zwischen den Teilnehmern und dem Veranstalter vor Ort:

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an unseren Touren ist der Besitz des Motorradführerscheins und des internationalen Führerscheins, sowie der Abschluss einer Reisekranken- und Unfallversicherung für den Zeitraum der Tour. Die entsprechenden
Dokumente sind mit dem Reisepass und den von uns übergebenen Motorraddokumenten
während der gesamten Tour mitzuführen.
Alle auftretenden Defekte, ungewöhnlichen Betriebsgeräusche oder Fahrverhalten sind bitte
sofort dem Tourguide oder Mechaniker mitzuteilen. Die maximale Geschwindigkeit sollte 80
km/h nicht überschreiten. Die optimale Geschwindigkeit bei geraden Strecken ist 70 km/h.
Bergauf sollte die Geschwindigkeit deutlich geringer sein. Eine Bullet sollte nie länger als
eine Minute mit Vollgas gefahren werden. Motorschäden aufgrund von Überhitzung/ zu
hoher Geschwindigkeit werden dem Fahrer in Rechnung gestellt.
Verkehr: Der Fahrer ist ausschließlich, auch wenn er dem Tourguide folgt, für die Einhaltung
der Verkehrsregeln und für die gefahrene Geschwindigkeit sowie sein dem Verkehr
angepasstes Fahrverhalten selbst verantwortlich.
Er wird sich von den Tourguides über das ungewöhnliche Benehmen der nepalesischen
Verkehrsteilnehmer aufklären und über die technischen Besonderheiten der EnfieldMotorräder informieren lassen.
Versicherung: Alle Maschinen sind vollkaskoversichert. Die Selbstbeteiligung pro
Schadensfall ist auf maximal 500 Euro begrenzt.
Auch für indirekte Folgekosten wie Tour Verlängerung, Umbuchungen, Motorradtransportkosten usw., die durch den Unfall entstehen, haftet der Teilnehmer.
Kaution: Bei der Übernahme der Motorräder hinterlegt jeder Motorradmieter eine Kaution
(500 Euro in bar) bei der Reiseleitung, die bei Rückgabe der unbeschädigten Enfields
zurückgezahlt wird.
Diese Kaution ist gleichzeitig die maximale Selbstbeteiligung bei selbstverschuldeten
Unfällen für Schäden am eigenen Mietmotorrad oder Schäden an Dritten. Auch bei
Schäden an Dritten wird im Rahmen der Haftpflichtversicherung die Selbstbeteiligung
fällig.
Zur Erläuterung: Im nepalesischen Versicherungssystem gilt der Selbstbehalt bei jedem
Unfall, nicht nur im Falle der Vollkasko am eigenen Fahrzeug. Auch wenn Sie Dritten einen
Schaden zufügen, müssen Sie den vollen Selbstbehalt zahlen.
Die Kaution dient auch der Finanzierung von Hilfeleistungen im Krankheitsfall (Notfall).
Diebstahlversicherung / Reisegepäck: Die Motorräder sind gegen Diebstahl versichert,
nicht jedoch das mitgeführte Gepäck. Für das persönliche Reisegepäck und den sicheren
Transport ist der Mieter während der gesamten Rundreise selbst verantwortlich. Die Agentur
übernimmt keine Haftung für beschädigtes oder verlorengegangenes Gepäck. Genau
deshalb ist eine Reisegepäckversicherung äußerst sinnvoll. (Es ist zwar noch nichts
weggekommen, aber man kann nicht vorsichtig und versichert genug sein.)
Während der Touren gilt:
Jeder selbstfahrende Gruppenteilnehmer erklärt sich zur Einhaltung der allgemeinen Regeln
für das Fahren in der Gruppe bereit.
Notwendige Anweisungen des Tourguides bezüglich des notwendigen Fahrverhaltens und
zur Aufrechterhaltung der Gruppendisziplin und Sicherheit sind von jedem Gruppenmitglied
zu befolgen.
Die Grundregel ist das Fahren in einer "Kommunizierenden Kette", das heißt, jeder
versucht sowohl zum vorausfahrenden als auch zum nachfolgenden Biker Sichtkontakt zu
halten (Fahren also auf Sichtweite des Nachfolgers). Dabei gilt, der Vordermann ist für
seinen Hintermann verantwortlich, nicht umgekehrt! Geht der Sichtkontakt verloren, wird
gut sichtbar an der Strecke angehalten, bis der Tourguide oder der Begleitjeep auftauchen.
Der Motorradmieter ist tagsüber für das gesicherte Abstellen des Motorrades verantwortlich
und haftet für am Motorrad zurückgelassene Gegenstände. Der Tourguide übernimmt auf
den von ihm ausgewählten Abstellplätzen während der Übernachtungen das Diebstahlrisiko
für das Motorrad, nicht aber für am Motorrad verbliebenes Zubehör oder Gepäck.
Der Tourguide behält sich das Entscheidungsrecht vor, welche Etappen mitunter nur ohne
Beifahrer sicher und materialschonend mit der Enfield Bullet zu absolvieren sind.
Der Veranstalter empfiehlt das Benutzen von Motorradhelmen und Schutzkleidung.
Jeder Teilnehmer muss sich über die jeweiligen Vorschriften der regional gültigen
"Straßenverkehrsordnung" vom Tourguide informieren lassen und deren Regeln einhalten.
Individuelle Ausfahrten sind in jedem Falle nur nach Information und mit ausdrücklichem
Einverständnis des Tourguides möglich.
