Welding head for SA strip cladding and electro slag welding
for a strip width from 30 to 60 mm. For producing corrosion
and wear protection layers. For adaption to existing guiding
systems, i. e. welding gantries, column and booms, linear
drives etc.

Application Advantages:

The advantages of strip cladding are the high deposition rate and the low dilution rate of approx. 10 %

A cost-efficient base material is coated with high-quality functional layers

Corrosion and wear protection layers are possible, depending on the used filler material

The required chemical composition or the desired hardness value of the component surface can often be
achieved already with the first layer

Use on sheets and for inner and outer tube welding

Economic coating with high deposition rate

Diverse application areas, i. e. as protection against corrosion in pipeline and container construction or as
protection against wear in the steel and cement industries
Main Features:

Strips with a width of 30 or 60 mm can be welded

Coatings of approx. 3 - 8 mm per layer can be achieved with the usual 0.5 mm wide strip

Use of solid and filler strips or sintered strip electrodes is possible

Control with pre-selection of nominal values for welding current, arc voltage and „welding speed“, separation
of active and passive operating elements onto two operating levels is possible with the Kjellberg control panel

Flux tank with 10 litres capacity, equipped with a window for filling level control and option to install a
pneumatic flux recovery unit based on the injector principle for SA strip cladding
