What are the rules associated with the idea book preview period
period?
First,, you, as a Consultant, may purchase new products during the preview period for your use
only. All customers gaining new product access at the same time ensures equal sales opportunities
among Consultants.
Second, some types of new products are limited to 2 per Consultant during the preview, whether
acquired by full retail purchase or through campaigns at a discount or free.

New Idea Books
Beginning June 24th, Consultants can purchase their 10-packs of both the Annual Inspirations. The
online editions of Annual Inspirations 2016–2017 will be available to Consultants on July 1 and
customers on August 1.

Here is a tip from fellow consultant LYNN COMO, on how she distributes NEW idea books-.....All
my monthly club peeps get it for free as well as loyal customers spending $50-$75. At crops, $3 with
a $50 purchase, free @ $75 purchase. @ Workshops, free for those that attend. I don't like to charge
$6 but suggest a purchase to earn it. I don't randomly hand them out, it adds up quickly and I suggest
they make a purchase to get it at a discount or free.

Close To My Heart reveals new products to Consultants at events, in
idea books, and at other times in advance of release to the general public.
During the Consultant preview period, which is the period between the time a new product is revealed to

advertising, promotion, and sale of new products. The date a new product is available to be ordered by
customers is the starting date indicated on the idea book in which the new product appears or the date

announced by Close To My Heart in a weekly corporate update, product flyer, or other communication shared
with Consultants.
Consultants are not allowed to take customer pre-orders (which we define as accepting money) for new
products during the Consultant preview period.
During a preview period Consultants may wish to build excitement or interest with their customers and other
non-Consultants. To allow for this, Consultants are permitted to share sneak peeks of products and artwork, but
are not permitted to share images showing complete product or artwork made using new products. An example
of a sneak peek would be a picture of the corner of a scrapbook page, but not the entire page.
Consultants can share the cover of the new idea book, but not any of the
pages inside. Consultants may share these images to help build interest
and excitement but not for the purpose of gathering orders or pre-selling
that product. No tutorials, instructions, supply lists, or product details
can be shared with non-Consultants during the Consultant preview
period.
The same rules apply to video recordings. Consultants may not post
videos showing the inside pages of the idea book, complete new
products, or artwork made using new products, on Instagram, Facebook,
Snapchat, YouTube, Periscope, or similar social media sites.
These sharing rules do not apply to closed or secret groups consisting only of current, active Consultants.
I’m so THANKFUL for a company that CARES for us as consultants – who want what’s best for
EACH one of us, and doesn’t favor leaders higher than others. Thank YOU to HOME OFFICE for
