The Re-Purpose/Re-Design/Re-Fashion
Contest offers crafters and seamstresses
the opportunity to show their creativity by repurposing items purchased at Glad
Rags Boutique. Contestant’s entries will be put on display at Glad Rags Boutique in Stockton during the voting process. Photos will also be posted on Facebook, Pinterest and Glad Rags Boutique website and blog.
Design Categories 
TShirt Re-Fashion:
Repurpose a TShirt into a completely
different ready-to-wear piece or accessory.
TShirt

Denim
Re-Fashion:
Repurpose Denim into
a completely different
ready-to-wear piece
or accessory.
Denim purse made from
skirt, embellished with
belt & more.
Christmas
Ornaments
or Décor:
Repurpose jewelry, clothing items
or accessories into a
Christmas ornament or decoration.
Stars made from sweaters
Guidelines 
Purchase items from Glad Rags to be redesigned and repurposed into new garments
and/or accessories. Contestants are required to use at least one item from Glad Rags in
each entry. Contestants may only submit one entry per category.
Entries must include:
 A completed entry form along with Glad Rags Receipt (s)
 An electronic submission of photographs (include a photograph of items before
repurposing and photographs after completion of front, back and side views).
 The contest item for display
Judging 
Finalists will be judged on their photo submission, actual item and voting by the public.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
 Use of Glad Rags item(s)
 Originality
 Overall Appearance
 Technical Ability
 Voting by the General Public (by ballot, Facebook likes and Pinterest likes)
Contest Timeline 
Contest will begin on August 2nd. All entries must be received by September 10th.
Contestant entries will be featured in a special window display at Glad Rags Boutique
in Stockton starting with the “Fall into Stockton” event on September 13th and continuing through the “Stroll through Stockton” event on October 4th. Voting by the general
public will be open from September 13th-October 4th. Entries will also be posted on
Facebook, Pinterest and the Glad Rags Boutique website blog. Winners will be announced on October 6th.
Prizes 
There will be a First Prize and Honorable Mention in each category.
 First Prize winners in the TShirt & Denim Re-Fashion Categories will receive a Organizational Craft Caddy containing sewing notions and gadgets. (Retail value approx.
$50)
First Prize winner in the Christmas category will receive a VTech Inno Tab 3 Learning App Tablet for Kids ages 3-9 (Retail value $49.99).
 The Honorable Mention winners will each receive at $25 Glad Rags Boutique gift
certificate.
 All those who enter will receive a 30% off discount coupon good for their next purchase at Glad Rags Boutique.


Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10th. Entry forms and photos can be sent
to [email protected] or mailed to Glad Rags Boutique, 117 S. Main Street, Stockton, IL
61085. Arrangements need to be made to physically drop off the entry at Glad Rags in Stockton at the
above address by the deadline.
THIS ENTRY FORM MUST INCLUDE:
 Photographs (Please include a photograph of items before repurposing and photographs after completion of front, back and side views.) Digital images emailed to [email protected] are
best.
 A copy of the receipt of your purchase of the item to be repurposed from Glad Rags Boutique.
By signing this entry form, you agree to allow photos of your finished entry to be posted on Facebook, Pinterest and Glad Rags Boutique’s website blog. You also grant permission to display your entry during the
public voting process. The entry item will be returned to you as the owner upon completion of the contest.
