aller Zeiten, Kathrin Johnson’s Geschichte einer
jungen Frau und ihrer Mutter, die am Abend vor
der Hochzeit der Tochter plötzlich mit vergangenen Erlebnissen konfrontiert werden. Die
Dialoge sind charmant mit den Liedern verwoben und die heitere Geschichte ist rund
um die ABBA-Erfolgssongs wie ‚Money,

In this stage-musical, the well-known songs

Zu Beginn der 80er Jahre gründete eine Gruppe junger Entertainer in Quebec den „High Heels Club“, eine Organisation der nicht
nur Stelzen-Geher (daher der Name), sondern auch Feuerschlucker,
Jongleure und andere kreative Künstler angehörten. Da es in dieser Region bislang noch keine Zirkustradition gab, beschlossen die
jungen Künstler, ein Festival zu veranstalten, um ihr Talent und
ihre Ideen untereinander auszutauschen. Schlussendlich entschieden sie sich dafür, jede ihrer Shows im gleichen Zelt vorzuführen.
So wurde 1984 der heute weltberühmte „Cirque du Soleil“ geboren,
der zur Zeit mit acht verschiedenen Shows auf der ganzen Welt zu
sehen ist.

In the early 1980ies, a group of young entertainers in Quebec /
Canada founded the so-called “High Heels Club”. It comprised stilts
acrobats (therefore the name), fire-eaters, jugglers and other
creative artists. Since the region lacked both opportunities and
meeting places to exchange their ideas with like-minded artists,
the group organised a festival. Finally, they decided to perform all
the different shows in one big top – the “Cirque du Soleil” was
born. At present, the Cirque du Soleil tours the world with eight
different shows.

The 70ties are back and the show is given a standing ovation whereever it is performed. The famous catchy hits written by the Bee
Gees reflect the attitude characteristic of that period: I don‘t care
about tomorrow, my future is tonight! Thilling dancing scenes to
the unforgettable disco sound will make the crowd dance and
scream for more-get infected with the „Saturday Night Fever“!
Eine American Highschool Ende der Fünfziger, die Zeit von Rock
‘n Roll, Pomade und Petticoats, der ersten „echten“ Küsse auf dem
Rücksitz im Autokino. Das letzte Schuljahr hat gerade begonnen,
Cheerleader feuern ihre Football-Teams an, Autorennen a la James
Dean werden ausgetragen. In der Nacht werden Cliquenkämpfe
der „Burgers“ und ihrer Rivalen, der „Dukes“ auf Sportplatz und
Autofriedhof ausgetragen, während bei den „Pink Ladies“ PyjamaPartis steigen

nicht spurlos vorüber. 1978 entstand aus der Geschichte ein Film,
in dem John Travolta den Danny spielt. Heute zählt dieser Film zu

An American high school at the end of the 50ies – it’s the age of
rock’n’roll, hair cream, petticoats and the first „real” kisses on the
back seat of the car in the drive-in cinema. The last year of school
has just begun, the cheerleaders spur their football teams on, car
races à la James Dean are won. In the night, fierce fights take place
between the „Burgers” and their rival gang, the „Dukes”, while the
„Pink Ladies” meet at pyjama parties
It’s clear that Hollywood could not ignore the sensational success
of Grease. In 1978, the story was made into a movie featuring
John Travolta as Danny and today the film figures among the 20
most successful film-videos of all times.

Patrick Swayze um seinen letzten Tanz in Kellerman’s Ferienclub.
Wenige Minuten nach der bis heute unvergessenen Liebeserklärung gelingt endlich die spektakuläre Hebefigur mit Frances
Houseman, genannt „Baby“ – und damit ein Happy End, dem sich
nicht einmal hart gesottene Männer verschließen konnten.
Insgesamt 51 Songs aus den 60er und 80er Jahren sowie erweiterte Tanzszenen lassen in diesem mitreißenden Musical den Sommer
1963 wieder aufleben.

million people in Germany alone sympathised with
Patrick Swayze and his Baby. Only minutes after Johnny declares
his love, he performs one last dance in Kellerman’s Holiday Club.
Eventually, he and Frances Houseman successfully perform the

are used for making percussive sounds – a

Riverdance - Mit dieser Show erlebte der irische Stepptanz eine weltweite Renaissance. Nach einer siebenminütigen Riverdance Einlage
beim damaligen Eurovisions Contest in Dublin entwickelte sich der
irische Stepptanz über Nacht zum weltweiten Publikumsmagneten
mit blitzschnell ausverkauften Häusern.
Auf Riverdance folgte "Lord of the Dance" die spektakuläre Show
des abtrünnigen Riverdance Darstellers und besten Tänzers der Welt

"Riverdance” the traditional Irish tap-dance experienced a worldwide
revival brought about by a seven-minute performance of the group
at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin. Literally over night the
Irish dance shows became a huge success all over the world with
tickets often being sold out within minutes.
Riverdance was followed by "Lord of the Dance”, the
spectacular show founded by Michael Flatley, former member of
Riverdance and regarded as the best tap-dancer in the world.

Die Idee zu dieser einmaligen Show lieferte Produzent Harley
Medcalf Elton John’s Party zu seinem fünfzigsten Geburtstag. In einem riesigen Ballsaal begeisterte der Superstar seine 600 Gäste mit einer atemberaubenden Latin-Danceshow.
Stars der Show sind Paare aus 15 verschiedenen Ländern, die
einen gelungenen Mix aus elegantem, klassischen Tanz und
Rock’n Roll präsentieren. In zwei Stunden legen die sexy Tänzerinnen und Tänzer einen atemberaubenden Querschnitt von
klassischem und lateinamerikanischem Tanzstiel aufs Parkett,
angefangen von Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha, Walzer, Swing und
Mambo bishin zu Salsa, und Tango.
Bei diesem kraftvollen Rhythmus wird es den Zuschauern nur
zu schwer fallen, auf ihren Plätzen sitzen zu bleiben...
This unique Latin-Danceshow originally was producer Harley
Medcalf’s idea for a party held to celebrate Elton John’s 50th
birthday. The breathtaking performance, which took place in a
huge ballroom, left the 600 party guests thrilled. The stars of
the show are the couples from 15 different countries. Within
two hours, they present a spectacular mix of the various
dance styles, ranging from the classical and Latin American
standards such as waltz, rumba, samba, cha-cha, mambo,
tango and salsa to swing and rock’n’roll.
Surely, the audience will get carried away by these contagious
rhythms and hardly anyone will stay seated...

Creole and Spanish elements. Its characteristic melody
originally was brought to the dock areas of Buenos Aires
by European emigrants in the late 19th century. Soon, the
tango fever was spreading – it became en vogue in Paris,
took Hollywood by storm, and today, dancers all over
the world love to tango. No other dance expresses all
the emotions and feelings of human life so passionately,
no other dance reflects two people’s bodies and souls
becoming one more perfectly.
