FRIENDS AND
PARTNERS AWARD
“
In every regard
Laser Pros
has been a wonderful
resource and asset for
the College.
”
– Scott Biscobing
This award has been given annually since 1995 to
recognize businesses, groups, or individuals who
play a key role in helping Nicolet College achieve
its mission of service to the district.
The Nicolet College Foundation is pleased to honor
Laser Pros International with the 2015 Friends and
Partners Award. Laser Pros has a long-standing
partnership with Nicolet College and its Information
Technology program. The company provides
important direction for the IT program to better
prepare graduates for employment. Employees serve
on the advisory committee, offer student internships,
and the company also provides employment
opportunities for Nicolet College graduates.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP RETREAT
The Nicolet College Foundation hosted its third Annual Student Leadership
Retreat last summer for scholarship recipients. They spent the day team
building, learning leadership skills, and finding ways to embrace their
strengths and talents to positively impact others. Many of these students are
now actively involved in student leadership opportunities on campus. The
skills they are learning in and out of the classroom will serve them well long
after they graduate from Nicolet College.

“
One of my favorite parts is getting to know
other students on campus in other programs.
I can always rely on the long-lasting
friendships from that day.
”
– Bobbi Schauer

RUN TO REMEMBER
We welcomed more than 100 walkers
and runners to campus for the Third
Annual Run to Remember honoring
Kory Dahlvig on August 29, 2015.
Kory graduated from the Criminal
Justice program at Nicolet College
in 2003 and was killed in a traffic
accident while on duty as a Vilas
County Sheriff’s Deputy in 2010.
This year, we added a 10K Run to
the event. We wish to extend our
gratitude to everyone who took
part or volunteered to help make
this event a success. We are grateful
for the support of Kory’s family,
especially Melissa Lane, Kory’s
cousin. Melissa is the person who
had the vision of what this event
could be and determination to make
it happen. We raised nearly $7,000
at the 2015 event, for a total of
$21,000 since the first year in 2013.
2014-15 IN MEMORY OF
LEAVE A LEGACY SOCIETY
Some people choose to honor a loved one with
a memorial scholarship or other tribute in their
name through the Nicolet College Foundation.
The Foundation wishes to thank all those who
made a gift in memory of the following individuals
who passed away in the 2014-15 year.
Alumni and friends of Nicolet College are creating
legacies through planned gifts with their estates.
Your gift will provide support for Nicolet Students
for generations.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can support Nicolet students and the college in a variety of ways, each with distinct advantages.
We welcome gifts and bequests of all sizes. Contributions can be made through:
CASH
LIFE INSURANCE
Cash giving is the simplest way of sharing in
the work of the Nicolet College Foundation.
All such gifts qualify for the maximum income
tax deduction allowable by law.
Create a charitable life insurance trust. Simply
name the Nicolet College Foundation as a
beneficiary of a current or new life insurance
policy. Such a contribution may help you make a
larger gift than you had hoped.
MEMORIAL & HONORARY GIFTS
Many people choose to honor a friend or loved
one through a gift to the Foundation.
SECURITIES & PROPERTIES
Give appreciated securities or real estate that
are deductible at fair market value to a certain
percentage of income.
BEQUEST
Continue to impact the future of Nicolet
students by making a gift in your will or trust.
Bequests are exempt from estate taxes.
CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST
Make a meaningful future gift, while
simultaneously providing income for life or for a
specific term of years, for yourself and/or other
beneficiaries. When the trust ends, the remaining
assets benefit the purpose you have chosen.
RETIREMENT PLAN
Benefit from coordinating your retirement planning
and charitable giving. By donating some or all
of your retirement plan to the Nicolet College
Foundation, your estate can save a considerable
amount of taxes while assisting Nicolet students.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities,
please contact the Nicolet College Foundation at 715-365-4518.
YOUR NAME IS IMPORTANT
We strive to be accurate and complete; however,
errors can occur. If your name has been omitted or
listed incorrectly, please bring it to our attention.
Donors are listed for contributions received between
July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.
