Im Kerncurriculum werden folgende kommunikative Fertigkeiten ausgewiesen:

Sprachmittlung
Für die Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur produktiven Sprachverwendung (Sprechen) sind laut Kerncurriculum ausgedehnte Phasen verstehenden
Hörens besonders wichtig. Im Vergleich zu den Kompetenzbereichen Hör- und Hör-/ Sehverstehen und Sprechen spielt das Lesen eine
untergeordnete Rolle. Die Kompetenz des Schreibens wird in der Grundschule lediglich angebahnt. Geschrieben wird nur nach Vorlage.
Im Fremdsprachenunterricht ist der kommunikative Erfolg der sprachlichen Äußerung wichtiger als ihre sprachsystematische Korrektheit. Der
Unterricht erfolgt in der Zielsprache (Prinzip der Einsprachigkeit).
Lernkontrollen (siehe Fachkonferenzprotokoll Englisch vom 21.12.2010):
Pro Halbjahr sollen im 4. Schuljahr 3 – 4 Lernkontrollen durchgeführt werden. Sie beziehen sich auf die im Unterricht erworbenen rezeptiven
Kompetenzen, Hör- und Hör-/ Sehverstehen sowie Lesen. Im 3. Schuljahr werden zur Übung und Vorbereitung auf die Lernkontrollen in Klasse 4
einige Probe-Lernkontrollen durchgeführt. Vorgesehen sind einheitliche Tests in den Parallelklassen. Die Tests sollen nicht benotet werden.
Notenfindung:
Auf die angemessene Gewichtung der Leistungen in den unterschiedlichen kommunikativen Fertigkeiten ist bei der Ermittlung des Lernstandes zu
achten. Besondere Bedeutung kommt der Ermittlung der Leistungen im Hör- und Hör- /Sehverstehen zu. Sie fließen am stärksten in die Zeugnisnote
ein.
Das Sprechen ist ebenfalls bedeutsam für die Leistungsermittlung.
Das wiedererkennende Lesen von Wörtern und einzelnen Sätzen ist für die Ermittlung der Zeugnisnote am wenigsten bedeutsam.
Das Schreiben nach Vorlage geht nicht in die Zeugnisnote ein.
In dem Fachkonferenzprotokoll Englisch vom 21.12.2010 wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass sich die Englischzensur aus etwa 60% Hör- und Hör-/
Sehverstehen (davon 30 % aus schriftlichen Lernkontrollen), 30 % Sprechen und zu 10 % Lesen zusammensetzt (siehe Beschluss der
Gesamtkonferenz vom 23.05.2011).
Für die Ermittlung des Lernstandes im Sprechen soll auf dem bisherigen Beobachtungsbogen bis auf weiteres mindestens 2 x pro Halbjahr ein
Eintrag erfolgen.
