Evaluation before purchase
What is the best Ambrogio model for my garden?
Multiply the length of your property by the width, and compare the results with the measurements
indicated in the Ambrogio technical specifications. The total area must include the house, trees, flowerbeds
and other parts of the area to be mowed. Ambrogio will adapt its operation depending on the obstacles.
Can Ambrogio mow all kinds of grass?
Yes. Ambrogio mows any kind of grass in residential gardens, even thick or wet grass. Ambrogio can be
programmed to work at night or early in the morning, so you can enjoy your garden during the day.
Operation
Can Ambrogio mow very tall grass?
Ambrogio is designed for the day-to-day maintenance and care of your lawn. Ambrogio cuts a few millimetres
of grass every day, which fertilises the lawn in a natural way and improves the quality of the grass. Check the
maximum cutting height allowed in the “Technical Information” section of the user manual.
Do I have to collect the grass after it has been cut?
No. There is no need to collect or dispose of lawn clippings. Ambrogio cuts a few millimetres of grass
every day. The clippings are left on the ground, acting as a natural fertiliser for your lawn (continuous
mulching effect).
Installation and programming
How do I install Ambrogio?
Ambrogio operates in an area defined by a perimeter wire placed around the edge of your garden. The wire
is secured to the ground with plastic fastening pegs or it can be buried. The beginning and end of the wire is
connected to the charging station, which in turn is connected to a power outlet.
How do I program Ambrogio?
Access the programming menu via the commands shown on the display and select the days and hours in
which you want Ambrogio to work. See the tips in the “Working Times – Programming Mode” section of the
manual. For more information, contact your local Ambrogio Robot dealer.
Safety
Can Ambrogio work in the rain?
Yes. Ambrogio can work in the rain. However, it is advisable to activate the rain sensors since mowing wet
grass may damage the lawn: Ambrogio will return to the charging station and wait for the next work cycle.
Refer to the “Settings – Programming Mode” section of the user manual.
Can I block Ambrogio?
Yes. Ambrogio has an easily accessible and highly visible emergency stop button. When picked up or lifted,
Ambrogio and the blade stop.
Maintenance and repair
How much does Ambrogio consume?
Ambrogio’s monthly consumption is much lower than the fuel consumption needed to operate a petrol-powered mower. For a medium sized lawn, the electricity costs of Ambrogio are just over 1 euro per month!!
Which Ambrogio parts should be checked?
The blade and wheels, because they are more exposed to dirt and wear. Check and remove any rust from
the knobs of the battery charger and contact plates of the Ambrogio charging station. It only takes a few
minutes to ensure complete efficiency of your Ambrogio robot!
Does Ambrogio require maintenance?
Yes. You need to check Ambrogio regularly and if necessary, clean it. Refer to the “Table of Scheduled
Maintenance” in the user manual for the maintenance procedures. Do not immerse Ambrogio in water and
do not wash in water. In winter, take Ambrogio to your local Ambrogio Robot dealer for its annual service.
