in den Niederen Tauern im Sölktal. Daher auch sein Name. Er wird von der Firma Sölker Marmor in
derzeit drei Steinbrüchen abgebaut und auf modernsten Maschinen veredelt. Jährlich werden
40.000 Tonnen in ganz Europa verschickt. Als Natursteine, als Halbfertig- und Finalprodukte.

U n ve r g ä n g l i c h e S c h ö n h e i t . Die Steinmetze, die 1770–1775 die weltberühmte Bibliothek im
Stift Admont belegten, arbeiteten im Akkord. Dass sie dabei auch Sölker Marmor verwendeten, beweist eine
Urkunde aus diesen Jahren: verschieden große Steinplatten wurden für den Bibliothekgang bestellt.
2200 Stück waren offensichtlich für den Bibliotheksaal bestimmt. Die Pracht des ursprünglichen Bodens hat
die Jahre überdauert und präsentiert sich heute – 230 Jahre danach – noch in der gleichen Schönheit.

I m m o r t a l b e a u t y. The stonemasons who covered the world-famous library in Admont
Monastery between 1770 and 1775, worked at piece rates. That they also used Sölker Marmor
is proved by a document of the same period: stone slabs of various sizes were ordered for the
library corridor. 2200 pieces were apparently meant for use in the library hall. The sumptuousness of the original floor has survived the years and is seen today – 230 years later – in still the

M A R M O R . Der „echte Marmor“ hat sich durch Metamorphose
aus Kalkstein gebildet. Er ist grobkristallin, das gibt ihm sein
charakteristisches körniges Aussehen. Mineralien und Spurenelemente verändern das ursprünglich schneeweiße Gestein zu
gestreiftem, geflammtem, gemasertem, geädertem und buntem
Marmor. Der Marmor ist mit einem Anteil von reinem Calciumcarbonat bis zu 98 % bis zu 3 cm lichtdurchscheinend. Das tiefe
Eindringen des Lichts verleiht ihm seinen typischen Schimmer.
P E T R O G R A P H I E . Der Sölker Kristallmarmor ist ein hochkristalliner Buntmarmor mit wolkig ineinander verlaufenden
Fraktionen. Er ist hellgrundig (weiß) mit rosé und grün-grauen
Schichtungen. Die Bestimmung mit dem Passionsgerät weist
auf ziemlich reinen Kalkspatmarmor, im Verband mit karboninfiltriertem Glimmerquarzit, hin.

P E T R O G E N E S E . Entstanden ist der Sölker Kristallmarmor aus
Ablagerungsschichten im Urmeer Tetris (der Rest dieses Urmeers
ist das heutige Mittelmeer). Durch die Auffaltung der Alpen gelangten die heute 10 bis 50 Meter dicken Schichten am Abbauort
an die Oberfläche. Sein Alter beträgt circa 350 Millionen Jahre.
Vor circa 65 Millionen Jahren wurde der Marmor an die Oberfläche
geschoben.

R U T S C H H E M M E N D E O B E R F L Ä C H E N . Der Sölker Kristallmarmor ist extrem abriebfest, frost- und tausalzbeständig, wenig
saugfähig und pflegeleicht. Das macht ihn zum idealen Bodenbelag
für innen und außen. Mit garantiert rutschhemmenden Oberflächen
ist er auch für den (rutschempfindlichen) Nassbereich geeignet.

Die Firma Sölker Marmor hat in jahrelanger Forschungsarbeit
raffinierte Techniken der Oberflächenbearbeitung entwickelt,
mit denen die Funktionalität des Sölker Kristallmarmors weiter
gesteigert wird.
S M - O B E R F L Ä C H E N V E R E D E LU N G . Eine spezielle Marmorbeschichtung, die im Werk thermisch aufgebracht wird, bewirkt
einen nachhaltigen Oberflächenschutz, der die natürliche Schönheit des Natursteins nicht beeinträchtigt und zusätzlich ein griffsympathisches Wärmegefühl bewirkt. Die Oberflächenbehandlung
macht den Marmor chemisch beständig und damit resistent gegen
Aggressoren: Essigsäure, Aceton, Rasierwasser, Reinigungsmittel,

M A R M O R A L S H E I Z E L E M E N T. Der Sölker Kristallmarmor
ist ein ideales Wärmemedium. Dazu kommt seine hohe Qualität
(Dichte, Härte, grobkristalline Struktur), die ihn für Kernbeheizung
besonders geeignet macht. Besonders schön strukturierte Marmorplatten werden im Plattenkern mit Widerstandsheizleitern versehen. Die Heizung wird mit unsichtbaren Halterungen an der Wand
befestigt. Insgesamt trägt sie nur 6 cm auf. Die Raumtemperatur
wird durch Raumthermostat gesteuert, die Bedienung erfolgt per
Knopfdruck. Wartungs- und Servicekosten fallen keine an, weder
direkt noch indirekt. Garantie ab Werk: 4 Jahre.
D E TA I L B E S C H R E I B U N G . Die Sölker Marmor-Heizung besteht
aus einer 3 cm starken Natursteinplatte, deren Oberfläche poliert
und damit besonders pflegeleicht ist. Sie kann auf Wunsch auch
mit anderen Oberflächen geliefert werden. In die Rückseite ist ein
Rillensystem eingearbeitet. Die Rillen sind mit einer Spezialvergussmasse verschlossen. Ein hochhitzebeständiges Anschlusskabel ist mit dem Heizkabel im Steininneren verbunden. Ein lücken-
loses Prüfverfahren sowie periodische Kontrollen durch unabhängige europäische Prüfinstitute bestätigen die maximale Sicherheit.
D I E VO RT E I L E AU F E I N E N B L I C K . Die Sölker Marmor-Heizung
hat eine träge Wärmeleitfähigkeit und kann auf über 90° Celsius
aufgeheizt werden, ohne dass Verbrennungsgefahr bei Berührung
besteht. Die Reflexzeit eines Menschen, auch eines Krabbelkindes,
ist schneller als die nachströmende Wärme, die Verbrennungen
verursachen würde. Die Sölker Marmor-Heizung hat einen hohen
Anteil an gesunder Strahlungswärme. Die Heizelemente kühlen
zwischen den Schaltintervallen nur wenig aus und müssen daher
auch nur geringfügig aufgewärmt werden. Die gute Wärmespeicherung garantiert eine entsprechende Energieersparnis.

S T R A H LU N G S W Ä R M E U N D K-W E RT. Entscheidend für den
k-Wert ist die Taupunktebene eines Bauteils (= jener Punkt, an dem
Wasserdampf zu Wasser wird). Je trockener ein Bauteil, desto höher
sein k-Wert und desto größer die Energie-Einsparung. Die Wärmestrahlen der Heizplatte verhindern die Wanderung der Taupunktebene in Richtung Innenwandseite, allerdings nur dann, wenn
während der Heizperiode ein gleichmäßiges Heizen der Räume erfolgt. Bei längerem Nichtheizen oder zu wenig Heizen eines Raumes
wandert die Taupunktebene an die Innenseite, durchfeuchtet den
Bauteil und erhöht somit die Wärmetransmission von innen nach
außen.

1983 produziert und überzeugt seitdem als Voll- oder Zusatzheizung.

K A C H E LO F E N P R I N Z I P. Die Sölker Marmor-Heizung funktioniert
nach dem „Kachelofenprinzip“. Sie setzt überwiegend natürliche
Strahlungswärme frei. Die Wärmestrahlung durchdringt die Luft,
ohne sie zu bewegen, und erwärmt feste Gegenstände. Räume und
Baumasse heizen sich auf.
Dass die Baumasse die Energie speichert, erhöht die Effektivität der
Sölker Marmor-Heizung. Gleichzeitig reduzieren warme Bauteile den
Wärmeaustausch zwischen Mensch und Baumasse auf ein Maß, das
der menschliche Organismus als besonders behaglich empfindet.
B A U M A SS E A L S W Ä R M E S P E I C H E R . Die erwärmte Baumasse
unterstützt das Selbstregelverhalten. Bei Energiezufuhr von außen
(z. B. bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung) schaltet die Heizung ab,
die Temperatur der Baumasse bleibt stabil. Wird die Sonneneinstrahlung schwächer, so gleicht der Wärmespeicher den Temperatur-

unterschied mit Wärmeabgabe aus und hält das Raumklima auf
diese Weise stabil (amplitudendämpfendes Heizverhalten).

Römer kannten das Wärmestrahlungsprinzip und nutzten es in Thermen und Badehäusern zur Gesundheitserhaltung & Entspannung.
Beim Untergang des Römischen Reiches ging dieses Wissen zum
großen Teil verloren. Die Sölker Marmor-Heizung knüpft an dieses uralte Wissen an. Die Umsetzung erfolgt mit modernsten Technologien.
A) Für die Wärmebedarfs-Berechnung einer Wohnung in einem
Mehrfamilienhaus mit 2,50 m Raumhöhe.
Das Sölker Marmor-Heizsystem wird an das Stromnetz mit 230 VoltNennspannung angeschlossen. Die gewünschte Raumtemperaturregelung erfolgt entweder über einen Stecker-Raumthermostat (der
einfach an die Steckdose angeschlossen wird) oder über ein Raumthermostat (mit einem Fixanschluss am Stromnetz) – beide steuern
die Stromzufuhr zum Sölker Marmor-Heizelement.
Um eine optimale und wirtschaftliche Steuerung zu erzielen, muss
die Temperatur jedes Raumes mit einem Thermostat gesteuert
werden. Die Oberflächentemperatur pendelt sich im Selbstregelverhalten je nach Wärmebedarf ein. Der hohe Wärmestrahlungsanteil
begünstigt ein leichtes Aufheizen der Baumasse, die wiederum als
Wärmespeicher wirkt und somit das Raumklima weiter optimiert.
Z A H L E N B E I S P I E L . Die Raumtemperatur der Sölker MarmorHeizung fällt bis zu drei Grad niedriger aus als bei konvektiven
Heizsystemen – bei gleichzeitiger Steigerung des Wohlbehagens.
Ein Grad Raumtemperaturabsenkung bringt bis zu 6 % Energieersparnis. Allein durch die Absenkung der Raumtemperatur kann
man bis zu 18 % Energie einsparen.
D E R W Ä R M E B E D A R F. Heizkosten sind längst zu einem Kostenfaktor geworden, der das Haushaltsbudget stark belastet. Wer
heute baut oder seine Wohnung modernisiert, will bereits im Vorfeld wissen, welche Heizbelastung mit dem gewählten Heizsystem

Bei klimatisch günstiger Lage sind die Werte um circa – 10 %, bei ungünstiger Lage um etwa + 10 % und bei extrem ungünstiger Lage um
+ 15 % zu korrigieren.
Die Sölker Marmor-Gesundheitsliege
P R O D U K T B E S C H R E I B U N G . Die Liege ist in Segmente unterteilt, die individuell gesteuert werden können. Wenn die Gesundheitsliege auf die gewünschte Temperatur vorgewärmt ist, streckt
sich der Benutzer in einer bequemen Position auf der Oberfläche
aus. Wichtig ist, dass ein direkter Hautkontakt zwischen dem warmen Marmor und dem Körper besteht. Denn über die Reflektorik
der Haut kommt es zum Zustand der Entspannung und zur beruhigenden Wirkung auf das vegetative Nervensystem. Die Dauer der
Anwendung richtet sich nach dem individuellen Bedürfnis, sollte
aber maximal eine Stunde betragen.
Zum Aufheizen der Marmorelemente werden hochwertigste neueste
Technologien eingesetzt. Eine prozessorgesteuerte Regelung ermöglicht die gleichmäßige Abgabe von Wärme – und damit eine
konstante Temperatur. Wärme, konstant abgegeben, ist seit Jahrhunderten ein angewandtes Therapiemittel der Schulmedizin und
stellt ihre heilsame Wirkung tagtäglich unter Beweis. Wärme
steigert die Energie, stärkt die Abwehrkräfte, regt den Stoffwechsel
an und schafft Wohlbehagen.
P F L EG E H I N W E I S E . Die Reinigung der Marmoroberfläche erfolgt
mit einem Poly-Alkoholpräparat, das im Fachhandel erhältlich ist.
Damit wird die Gesundheitsliege gleichzeitig antiseptisch behandelt und bleibt in hygienisch einwandfreiem Zustand. Marmor bildet
keinen Nährboden für Bakterien.
H E I L SA M E W Ä R M E . Die Sölker Marmor-Gesundheitsliege
wurde im Versuchszeitraum von einem Jahr medizinisch getestet.
Dabei wurde festgestellt, dass die Gesundheitsliege die Selbstheilungskräfte des Körpers aktiviert und dazu beiträgt, Stress- und
Burn out-Symptome zu mildern. Eine heilsame Wirkung zeigt sich
auch bei degenerativen Erkrankungen (im Volksmund „Abnützungserscheinungen der Gelenke“) und bei (chronischen) rheumatischen
Erkrankungen.

Die Leuchtsteine eignen sich für die direkte und indirekte Beleuchtung einzelner Fokuspunkte im Garten wie Brunnen, Teiche oder
Skulpturen. Basismaterial sind Brocken- oder Rundsteine in verschiedenen Größen bis zu 30 kg, die
von Hand ausgewählt und mit

M A R B L E . “Real marble” is formed through the metamorphosis
of limestone. It is coarse crystalline, which gives it its characteristic
grainy appearance. Minerals and trace elements change the
original snow-white stone into striped, flamed, grained, veined
and colourful marble. The marble has up to a 98 % share of pure
calcium carbonate and is transparent to a depth of 3 cm. This deep
penetration of light gives the marble its typical shimmer.
P E T R O G R A P H Y. Sölker Kristallmarmor is a high-crystalline
coloured marble with cloudy, intermingling fractions. It is lightbased (white) with rosé and green-grey layers. Definition with a
special device shows fairly pure calcite marble combined with
carbon-infiltrated mica quartzite.

P E T R O G E N E S I S . Sölker Kristallmarmor originates from layers
of sediment in the Tetris primeval sea (the remains of this primeval
sea is the Mediterranean of today). Through the upward folding of
the Alps, the ten to fifty-metre-thick layers came to the surface at
the quarry location. Its age is around 350 million years. The marble
was pushed to the surface around 65 million years ago.

The firm of Sölker Marmor has developed refined techniques of
surface treatment over many years of research work, which further
increases the functionality of Sölker Kristallmarmor.
S Ö L K E R M A R M O R S U R F A C E R E F I N E M E N T. A special
marble coating applied thermally in the factory effects a permanent
surface protection, which does not lessen the natural beauty of
the natural stone and also adds a sympathetic feeling of warmth
to the touch. The surface treatment makes the marble resistant to
chemicals and thus resistant to aggressors, which makes untreated
marble ugly: acetic acid, acetone, shaving lotion, cleansing agents,
wine, oil, petrol, coffee, disinfection agents, lipstick, ink and much
more.

M A R B L E A S A H E AT I N G E L E M E N T. Sölker Kristallmarmor is
an ideal heat medium. It is also of high quality (density, hardness,
coarse-crystalline structure), which makes it especially suitable
for core heating. Especially beautifully structured marble slabs
have resistance conductors integrated in the slab core. The heating
is attached to the wall with invisible fixtures. They are only 6 cm
in depth. The room temperature is controlled by a room thermostat
and operation is at the press of a button. Maintenance and
servicing costs are negligible, neither directly or indirectly.

D E TA I L E D D E S C R I PT I O N . Sölker Marmor Heating comprises a
3 cm-thick natural-stone slab, the surface of which is generally
polished and thus especially easy to care for. The heating system
can also be delivered with other surfaces according to choice.
A system of grooves is integrated on the rear side. The grooves are
closed with a special pouring compound. A high-heat-resistant
connection cable is connected to the heating cable in the stone’s
interior. A comprehensive test procedure and periodic controls by
independent European test institutes confirm its maximum safety.
A DVA N TA G ES AT A G L A N CE . Sölker Marmor Heating has
a slow heat-conduction capacity and can be heated to over
90 degrees, without the danger of burning when touched.
The reflex time of a person, even a toddler, is faster than the flow
of heat that would cause burning. Sölker Marmor Heating has a
high share of healthy radiation heat. The heating elements cool
very little between the switching intervals and must therefore be
only slightly reheated. The system’s excellent heat retention
guarantees an appropriate saving of energy.

R A D I AT I O N H E AT A N D K-VA LU E . The dew-point level of a
building part (conforms to the point at which steam becomes water)
is decisive for the k-value. The drier the building part, the higher
the k-value and thus the larger the saving in energy. The heat
radiation of the heating slab hinders the moving of the dew-point
level towards an interior wall, but only when uniform heating of the
room takes place during the heating period. Following longer nonheating periods, or too little heating in a room, the dew-point level
moves very close to an interior wall, thoroughly dampens the building part and thus increases the heat transmission from the interior
to the exterior.

Sölker Marmor Heating counts among the most reasonably priced,
economic and energy saving heating systems and is also extremely environmentally friendly. This is because natural-stone
heating remains that which it is after disposal – stone. As such it
is also recyclable. Utterly contrary to conventional radiators, the
parts of which represent a great disposal problem that burdens
the environment permanently.
T H E T I L E D S TOV E P R I N C I P L E . Sölker Marmor Heating
functions according to the “tiled stove principle”. It releases predominantly natural radiant heat. Heat radiation penetrates the air
without moving it, and warms solid objects. Rooms and building
substance warm up.
That the building substance stores energy means that it increases
the effectiveness of the Sölker Marmor Heating. At the same time
the warm building parts reduce the exchange of warmth between
persons and the building substance to a degree that the human
organism feels to be especially comfortable.
B U I L D I N G S U B S TA N C E F O R H E AT S TO R A G E .
The warmed building substance supports a self-regulating behaviour. When energy is supplied from the outside (e.g. through
strong rays of sunshine) the heating switches off but the temperature of the building substance remains stable. If the rays of sunshine become weaker, the heat store equalises the temperature
difference with a heat release and in this way keeps the room
climate stable (simple cushioning heat behaviour).

The ancient Romans already knew of the principle of heat radiation
and used it in thermal spas and bathhouses to maintain health and
for relaxation. This knowledge was largely lost following the fall of
the Roman Empire. Sölker Marmor Heating uses this ancient knowledge. Realisation takes place with the most modern technologies.
The Sölker Marmor Heating system is connected to the current supply with a 230-volt nominal voltage. Regulation of the desired room
temperature takes place either via a room plug thermostat (which is
simply connected to the socket) or via a room thermostat (which
works via a fixed connection to the current network) – both control
the current supply to the Sölker Marmor Heating element.
To achieve optimum and economical control, the temperature of
every room must be controlled with a thermostat. The surface temperature adjusts through self-regulating behaviour according to the
required warmth. The high heat-radiation share favours easy warming of the building substance, which again has the effect of heat
storage and continues to optimise the room climate.
E X A M P L E I N F I G U R E S . The room temperature with Sölker
Marmor Heating falls to as much as three degrees lower than with
convective heating systems – with a simultaneous increase of wellbeing. Lowering the room temperature by one degree brings up to
6 % in energy saving. The lowering of a room temperature alone
can bring energy savings of up to 18 %.

Heating has long represented a cost factor, which strongly burdens

houses are to be reduced by 15 %.
In a climatically favourable location, the values are to be corrected
by around – 10 %, in an unfavourable location by around + 10 %,
and in an extremely unfavourable location by around + 15 %.

P R O D U C T D E S C R I PT I O N . The recliner is divided into segments
that can be individually controlled. When the health recliner is
pre-warmed to the desired temperature, the user stretches out in a
comfortable position on its surface. It is important that direct skin
contact between the warm marble and the body exists. Then via the
reflective action of the skin, a state of relaxation arises, together
with a calming effect on the vegetative nerve system. Duration of
use is according to personal need, but should not exceed one hour.
The latest and highest quality technology is used for heating the
marble elements. A processor-controlled regulator makes possible
the uniform release of heat – and thus a constant temperature. Constantly released heat is a means of therapy in conventional medicine
that has been used for hundreds of years and proves its healing
effect day in and day out. Warmth increases energy, strengthens the
defence mechanism, promotes metabolism and creates wellbeing.
I N S T R U C T I O N S F O R C A R E . Cleaning the marble surface is
undertaken with a poly-alcohol preparation, which is available in
the specialist trade. In this way the thermo-recliner is treated
antiseptically and at the same time remains in a fully hygienic
condition. Marble offers no breeding ground for bacteria.
H E A L I N G W A R MT H . The Sölker Marmor health recliner was
medically tested over a period of one year. It was established that
the health recliner activates the self-healing powers of the body
and contributes to decreasing stress and burn-out symptoms.
A healing effect is also seen in degenerative illnesses (“wear and
tear of the limbs”) and in (chronic) rheumatic illnesses.
