„Die Liebe trägt die Seele, wie die Füße den Leib tragen.” Die italienische
Mystikerin Katharina von Siena (1347 – 1380) hat wohl nicht an Arbeitssicherheitsschuhe gedacht, als sie dieses Zitat prägte. Aber eine Gemeinsamkeit mit der Stabilus Safety GmbH gibt es doch: Unsere Firmenphilosophie
wird von der Liebe zur Qualität getragen – und von der Erkenntnis, dass der
Mensch immer im Mittelpunkt steht.
Gerade 125 Gramm wiegen zusammen genommen die 28 Knochen, die
einen Fuß ausmachen. Und trotzdem muss dieses filigrane System selbst
das gesamte Körpergewicht durchs Leben tragen. Obwohl das Barfußlaufen
die natürlichste und gesündeste Art der Fortbewegung ist, kann sich der
Mensch im modernen Arbeitsleben soviel Freiheit nicht leisten.
Der Fuß braucht Sicherheit vor unebenen, scharfkantigen Untergründen
genauso wie vor herabfallenden Gegenständen oder großen Temperaturschwankungen.
90 Jahre Erfahrung in der Schuhproduktion sind die Basis, auf die das junge,

“Love carries the soul, just as the feet carry the body”. The Italian mystic
Katharina von Siena (1347-1380) probably wasn’t thinking about work
safety shoes when she said this. There is however still a commonality with
Stabilus Safety GmbH: Our company philosophy is driven by a love of quality – and by the knowledge that the person is always the focus.
All 28 bones that make up a foot together only weigh 125 grams, and yet
this delicate system has to support the whole weight of the body for its
lifetime. Although going barefoot is the most natural and healthiest way of
moving around, modern man does not have the freedom to do this in their
working life. The foot needs protection from uneven, sharp ground as well
as from falling objects and large variations in temperature.
The young modern team at Stabilus Safety has 90 years’ experience in
making shoes, which is the basis for their development of the ideal work
safety shoe ranges.
The ingredients that make up this development are: the highest-quality
materials, fully developed innovations and a constant focus on the individual needs of the customer; it is the customer who is the most important
“colleague”, when it comes to quality management.
Any new developments in the industry are rigorously tested by Stabilus,
combined with proven designs and presented to customers at all the
important trade shows. However, it is not until they receive feedback
from the user, which results in constant fine-tuning of the details, that the
perfect end product is created.
Fitting the person and their needs as closely as possible – an example of
the Stabilus principle can be seen in the BIOAIR range, for which a unique
last was developed in the exact shape of a foot. All Stabilus designs have
different combinations of an anatomically correct foot bed, innovative Vibratec cushioning technology and the latest air circulation properties. They

hat.“ Zwischen diesen Zitaten liegen fast 2.500 Jahre und trotzdem
beschreiben Sokrates und der ehemalige McKinsey-Unternehmensberater Jürgen Kluge dasselbe Prinzip: Eine neue Produktgeneration muss Bewährtes aus der Vergangenheit mitnehmen und mit
innovativen Ideen kombinieren.

company stronger than it found it.” Almost 2,500 years separate
these two quotes, yet Socrates and former McKinsey corporate
consultant Jürgen Kluge are describing the same principle: a new
generation of products must carry forward tried and tested aspects from the past and combine them with innovative ideas.
Diese Serie der Traditionsfirma Stabilus Safety heißt nicht von ungefähr „NEW GENERATION“: leichter, schicker, individueller – aber
so sicher wie Stabilus-Produkte eh und je – verbindet sie frischen
Charakter mit bewährten Tugenden. Eine innovative Materialkombination aus Textilien und Leder reduziert nicht nur das Gewicht,
sondern ermöglicht auch eine extrem hohe Atmungsaktivität. Die
spezielle Sportprofillaufsohle aus PU/TPU ermöglicht dem Träger
einerseits eine leichtere Abroll- und Drehbewegung. Gleichzeitig
schützt sie effektiv vor Umknick- und Rutschunfällen. Ihr ausgeprägtes Profil eignet sich vor allem für Arbeiten auf harten Böden,
meistert aber ebenso auch Arbeiten auf anderen Untergründen.
Die hochgezogene Sohle generiert einen zusätzlichen Kappenschutz.
This line of long-standing company Stabilus Safety is being called

as secure as Stabilus products have always been – they combine
fresh character with established virtues. An innovative material
combination comprising textiles and leather doesn’t just reduce
the weight but also allows extremely good breathability. On the
one hand, the special sport profile outsole made of PU/TPU allows
the foot to turn and roll forward from heel to toe more easily. And
on the other hand, it provides the wearer with efficient protection
against twisting their ankle and slipping. The distinctive profile is
particularly well suited to work on hard floors, but is also perfect
for working on other surfaces. The raised sole creates additional
toe protection.
Eine optimale Fersen- und Vorfußdämpfung ist natürlich auch bei
der NEW GENERATION selbstverständlich. Und weil es im Job nicht
selten schnell gehen muss, sind einige Modelle mit dem bequemen Schnellschnürsystem ausgerüstet, wobei hier in jedem Karton
zusätzlich normale Schnürsenkel als Alternative beiliegen.

die Basis des Erfolges. Mit Arbeitssicherheitsschuh-Linie JOGGER
hat Stabilus die Herausforderung gemeistert, die Eigenschaften
eines guten Laufschuhs auf einen Sicherheitsschuh zu übertragen.

Having the right shoe is the basis for success for runners. With the
safety shoe range JOGGER Stabilus has mastered the challenge
of transferring the qualities of a good running shoe onto a safety
shoe.
Wie bei allen Stabilus-Linien punktet der JOGGER mit einer
durchdachten Kombination sehr hochwertiger Materialien. Der
Schuh besteht aus atmungsaktivem Hightech-Textilmaterial und
wird mit einer speziellen Einlegesohle ausgestattet. Die optimale
Schutzwirkung eines Sicherheitsschuhs verbindet der JOGGER mit
der bequemen Flexibilität eines Laufschuhs. Dabei wird der Fuß des
Trägers trotzdem ideal stabilisiert.
As with all Stabilus ranges, the JOGGER stands out with its carefully thought-out combination of very high-quality materials. The
shoe is made from breathable high-tech textiles and is fitted with
a special insole. The JOGGER combines the optimum protective
effect of a safety shoe with the comfortable flexibility of a running
shoe. The wearer’s foot is however perfectly stabilised.
Das Highlight des JOGGER ist gleichzeitig sein Fundament: eine
außergewöhnliche Vibram-Sohle. Der italienische Bergsteiger Vitale
Bramani revolutionierte mit der Entwicklung einer extrem rutschund abriebfesten Gummisohle zunächst die Bergschuh-Branche
und später auch die Sportschuhausstattung. Mit der Entwicklung
der Vibram-Sohle sind renommierte Namen wie Goodyear oder
Pirelli untrennbar verbunden.
Und seit einiger Zeit auch der Name Stabilus, denn Stabilus hat
als einer der ersten Sicherheitsschuhhersteller in Deutschland
die Möglichkeit erhalten, eine Schuhlinie mit den begehrten
Vibram-Sohlen in ESD auszustatten. Durch die hochgezogene Front
ermöglicht die Vibram-Sohle beim JOGGER außerdem eine gesunde
Abrollbewegung.

The highlight of the JOGGER is also its foundation: an exceptional
Vibram sole. With the development of an extremely non-slip and
abrasion-proof rubber sole the Italian mountaineer Vitale Bramani
revolutionised first the climbing shoe industry and then later,

The main part is played by the user’s foot, with its individual
requirements. A large Vibratec cushioning element provides an
incredibly soft tread over the whole heel and mid-foot area in all
sizes. High impacts are reduced to a minimum by a special soft
midsole. The localised pressure of the heel bone is distributed
over the whole surface of the heel and therefore reduced.

working life with its hard surfaces and numerous risks of injury no

Walking around outdoors on uneven surfaces increases the risk of
tripping over. POWERLINE helps to protect against this with its wide
PU soles with raised sides to support the joints; this offers stability
while still providing the highest levels of flexibility. The rugged profile
of the sole is self-cleaning and is particularly nonslip, with a profile
depth of 5 mm.
The intelligent POWERLINE interior combines optimum support and
cushioning for the foot with maintaining a comfortable environment.
The ergonomic leather insole, with its high level of perforation, ensures long-lasting sweat absorption. The Air-Tech fleece is washable at
30 degrees and is anti-bacterial. An air channel system on the reverse
of the sole ensures optimum circulation of air. The areas in the middle

durch Stahlkappe, Stahlzwischensohle und eine robuste Überkappe
aus TPU verstärkt. Das grobstollige, selbstreinigende Fünf-Millimeter-Profil der Gummi-Sohle ist nicht nur schnittfest, sondern auch
rutschsicher. Dem Risiko von Umknickunfällen begegnet sie zusätzlich durch eine seitlich hochgezogene Gelenkpartie. Der
Artikel 4530 ist außerdem bis 300 °C kontakthitzebeständig.
Der Fuß allerdings kommt nicht so leicht ins Schwitzen. Dafür
sorgt unter anderem die atmungsaktive Lederfutter- und Funktionstextilienausstattung. Abgerundet wird das Thema Klima und
Komfort durch die intelligente, anatomisch geformte POWERLINE
Einlegesohle S8103. Auf der Sohlenrückseite sorgt ein Luftkanalsystem zusätzlich für optimale Zirkulation. Schließlich sorgt noch
die Umschließung von Mittel- und Rückfuß mit Weichschaum für
beste Dämpfung, optimale Verteilung des Körpergewichts und
Passgenauigkeit. Ein antibakterielles, bei 30 °C waschbares AirTech-Vlies der Einlegesohle runden die Hygiene ab. Die vegetabil
gegerbte Lederbrandsohle lässt den Fuß „durchatmen“.
The natural protective qualities of the high-grade exterior leather
are supplemented and strengthened by a steel cap, a steel midsole
and a robust overcap of ‘TPU’. The rough deep-contour selfcleaning five millimetre tread is not only cut resistant, but also
antiskid sure. The hazard of ankle-twisting accidents is combatted
by a laterally high drawn-up articulated joint. Article 4530 is also
contact heat-resistant up to 300°C.
The foot of course will not easily break out into a sweat. This is
taken care of by a breathable leather lining combined with functional textile features. The matter of air conditioning and comfort
is however rounded-off via the intelligent, anatomically formed
POWERLINE S8103 inlay sock. The rear side of the sole has an air
channelled system in addition to take care of additional air circulation. As a final feature, the encirclement of the midfoot parts and
the hindfoot provides for best attenuation, optimum deployment
of the body weight and a precision fit. The hygienic concept is
rounded off by a 30°C washable ‘air-tech’ fleece inlay sock. The
vegetable tanned leather insole permits the foot to breathe freely
as well.

Bei Schurwolle handelt es sich um ein Naturprodukt. Sie darf nur
so bezeichnet werden, wenn es sich um eine unmittelbar am Tier
geschorene Wolle handelt.
Auf Grund der so genannten natürlichen ThermoregulationsEigenschaft haben wir 100 % Schurwolle in unserem Winterstiefel
verbaut.
FUNKTION: Im Faserinneren kann Wasserdampf aufgenommen
werden. Die Oberfläche jedoch stößt Wasser ab.
RESULTAT: Der Fuß bleibt trocken und warm!
Durch die angebrachte Schnürung können Sie den Winterstiefel
passgenau an Ihren Fuß und die Wade einstellen. Der hochwertige
Kunststoffreißverschluss sorgt dafür, dass Sie den Stiefel schnell
und einfach an- bzw. ausziehen können. Ein zusätzlicher Klettverschluss schützt den Reißverschluss vor Nässe, Schnee und Schmutz
um lange Zeit treue Dinste leisten zu können.

We have inlaid 100% virgin wool in our winter boots because of its
natural characteristics of thermal regulation.
FUNCTION: water vapour can be absorbed within the fibre;
But the surface repels water.
RESULT: Thus, the feet remain warm and dry.
The lacing enables the wearer to suit the winter boot precisely to
the shape of the foot and around the ankle and calf. The high-grade plastic zip fastener makes sure, that the wearer can rapidly put
on and remove the boot. An additional ‘velcro’ fastener protects
the zip fastener from the wet, snow and contaminants to ensure a
longer and trustworthy service-life.

of the FITLINE CLASSICS distributes the localised tread pressure over
the whole surface of the heel. When placed under pressure the shoe
adapts to the shape of the heel, over the whole weight range. High
levels of impact are reduced to a minimum by the FITLINE CLASSICS
heel cushioning system.
The intelligent cushioning makes moving around and standing easy
and effortless all the time – the spine, spinal discs and joints stay in
top condition. The large tread area in the heel and ball of the foot,
with a profile depth of 3.8mm, helps to protect the wearer from
slipping.

BASIC SPORT model: this solid suede model is available as a comfortable low shoe or sandal. The steel toe cap ensures safety. Another
prominent feature is the Lenzi L-protection penetration-resistant fabric insole (class S1P) . The BASIC BAU offers a higher safety class (S3).
In contrast to the BASIC SPORT the BASIC BAU safety shoe or boot is
fashioned from sturdy leather with an additional steel midsole, which
provides extra safety in tougher conditions.

Flüssiges Eisen wird weit mehr als 1.000 °C heiß. Selbst Aluminium
hat seinen Schmelzpunkt erst bei etwa 660 °C. Schweißerstiefel müssen deshalb unter anderem einen extremen Hitzeschutz
gegen Kontakt mit geschmolzenen Metallspritzern bieten. Mit der
Zertifizierung nach der neuen Norm 20349 ist der Artikel 3310 auch
offiziell diesen Anforderungen gewachsen.
Molten iron sometimes has temperatures of far greater than 1000°C.
Even aluminium has a melting point as low as 660°C in comparison.
Welders’ footwear therefore needs to provide extreme heat protection against contact with molten metal splashing, among other hazards. Article 3310 is officially certified under a new Standard 20349
to meet such demands.

The robust leather boot provides optimum protection against extreme impingements of heat in general as well as in contact with molten
metal, thanks to its additional ‘PU’ coating. The overlapping Velcro
fastener can readily be opened in emergencies but also protects
against sparks and welding beads. The rubber outer sole is heat
contact-resistant up to 300°C. The penetration-resistant textile insole
of non-metallic material provides for additional safety from below.

Waldwirtschaft ohne Kettensäge ist heute kaum mehr denkbar. Ein
Forststiefel muss bei der Arbeit im Wald deshalb vor allem auch gegen Kettensägenschnitte schützen. Mit der DIN EN ISO 17249:2007
bietet der Forststiefel Artikel 3902 zertifizierte Sicherheit.
Forestry without chain saws today is scarcely thinkable. A woodland
boot when working in the forestry industry should therefore be able
to protect against chain saw injury. Article 3902 - the Woodland Boot
provides the necessary certified safety and security – as it meets the
requirements of the German and European Industrial Standard: DIN
EN ISO 17249:2007.
Das hochwertige Oily Nubukleder wird durch atmungsaktives Funktionsfutter zum Klimagaranten. Die herausnehmbare Einlegesohle
ist bei 30 °C waschbar. Eine Brandsohle aus schweißaufnahmefähigem Vlies ergänzt das qualitativ hochwertige Schuhinnenleben.
Dank dieser ausgewogenen Eigenschaften aus Schutz und Komfort
kam der Schnittschutzstiefel Artikel 3902 auch beim Kuratorium für
Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik bestens an und entspricht geprüftem
KWF-Standard.
Apart from protection from cutting when working in forestry, an
intelligent combination of mobility and surefootedness together with
stabilisation, should also be of prime consideration. The midsole
shank of the Woodland Boot – Article 3902 permits moveability in
combination with the best wearing comfort. The ‘POWERLINE’ outer
sole with self-cleaning tread of ‘PU/PU’ is particularly antiskid, but
still provides a soft touch and a predominantly light weight.
The high-grade ‘oily nubuck leather’ makes for guaranteed airconditioning with its outstanding breathable lining. The removable
inlay ‘sock’ is washable at 30°C. An insole of sweat-absorbent fleece
completes the interior workings of the Boot. Thanks to this balanced
characteristic of protection and comfort, the Woodland Boot – the
cut-proof footwear of Article 3902 also best complies with the safety
standards of the German ‘KWF - Kuratorium fuer Waldarbeit und
Forsttechnik’, Potsdam (Woodland Techniques and Forestry Working

Die DGUV-Regel 112-191 regelt die Benutzung von Fuß- und
Knieschutz am Arbeitsplatz. 2007 sorgte eine Novellierung der damaligen BGR 191 dafür, dass Arbeitgeber und Arbeitnehmer bei der
Wahl ihrer Arbeitssicherheitsschuhe und vor allem bei orthopädieschuhtechnischen Veränderungen besonders aufpassen müssen.
Bei jeder orthopädischen Schuhzurichtung oder Verwendung einer
Einlage muss ein unabhängiges Prüfinstitut bestätigen, dass der
Arbeitsschuh noch den Anforderungen der Norm EN ISO 20345
entspricht.
Diese kostenintensive Maßnahme kann im Einzelfall weder der
Arbeitnehmer noch der Arbeitgeber leisten. Die Stabilus Safety

DGUV-rule 112-191 regulates the use of foot and knee protection in
the workplace. In 2007 the regulation of then BGR 191 was updated,
and employers and employees now have to pay particular attention
to their choice of work safety shoes, especially any changes to orthopaedic shoes.
For every orthopaedic shoe finish or use of an insole, an independent
test institute must confirm that the work shoe complies with the
requirements of the EN ISO 20345 standard.
On an individual bases neither the employer or employee can afford
these cost-intensive measures. Stabilus Safety GmbH has relieved its
customers of this procedure and had the different designs from their
own range pre-certified for numerous orthopaedic changes.

beeindruckende Kräfte. Aber hätten Sie gedacht, dass beim
Arbeiten in sensiblen Bereichen auch aus Ihren Fingern
Blitze fahren?
When a tree is struck by lightning, powerful forces are discharged.
Have you also thought about the fact that when you’re working in
sensitive areas lightning comes from your fingers too?
ESD – electrostatic discharge is a daily experience. When you walk
over carpet wearing rubber soles and then touch a metal door handle
you get a small unpleasant shock, because the electricity charged in
your body discharges through the conductive handle. Up to 30,000
volts can flow through the body and yet this discharge generally isn’t
dangerous for people.
ESD – electrostatic discharge (auf Deutsch: Elektrostatische
Entladung) ist eine alltägliche Erfahrung. Wer mit Gummisohlen
über den Teppich geht, bekommt hinterher an der Metallklinke
einen kleinen unangenehmen Schlag, weil sich eine Aufladung des
Körpers mit Strom über die leitfähige Klinke entlädt. Bis zu 30.000
Volt können so durch den Körper fließen und trotzdem ist diese
Entladung für den Menschen meistens ungefährlich.
It’s a different matter entirely when it comes to highly sensitive
industrial components. While a person only notices an electrical
discharge through their fingers from around 3,000 volts, 100 volts of
ESD are enough to erase a magnetic data carrier. Between 5 and 20
volts can damage a computer’s hard disc. Electrostatic discharge from
people in the micro environment of high-tech production really is like
lightning striking a tree.

in denen brennbare Flüssigkeiten oder Gase, Folien oder Papier
verarbeitet werden. Denn nicht selten verursacht elektrostatische
Entladung auch kleine Funkenschläge.

Die ESD-Ausrüstung bei Stabilus Sicherheitsschuhen schützt effektiv
