Figureheads, Inc. is a non-profit organization that serves the next generation through
music and mentorship.
Experience and Impact
Schools
In two and a half years Figureheads, Inc. has reached over 200,000 kids with their
music. Much of this contact has happened in all-school assemblies and artist inresidencies. Since 2006 Figureheads has visited nearly 200 schools in Wisconsin,
the surrounding Midwest and as far away as Florida. Their music is played and used
in even more schools than they've visited.

Youth Organizations
Since 2006 Figureheads, Inc. has partnered with numerous youth organizations including YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, and MSCR. Figureheads, Inc. has served youth
organizations through artist in-residencies, performances and staff training workshops. Figureheads, Inc. was recently invited to partner with Boys and Girls Club of
Milwaukee to support and resource the staff of all 39 Milwaukee B & G Club sites
with staff trainings and workshops. This partnership will enable Figureheads, Inc. to
impact more than 30,000 central-city youth with their music and mentorship.
Mental Health Organizations
Figureheads, Inc. was commissioned by Wisconsin Family Ties, an organization that
serves families who are impacted by mental illness, to create five songs and a website that would help in the work of creating awareness and resources for these families and communities. This music will be shared with a national network of organizations that are doing similar work as Wisconsin Family Ties. You can listen to the music and read about this project at www.isanyonelistening.org.
Figureheads, Inc. has developed relationships with Wisconsin's two largest mental
health facilities: Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison and Winnebago Mental
Health Institute in Oshkosh. Figureheads, Inc. has performed for and mentored
youth at both of these facilities. Both agencies have purchased the Figureheads'
music and use it as a part of their programming.

Business Community
Figureheads, Inc. has been invited to perform and present their music/ mission for
local and nation-wide business communities. For example, Figureheads, Inc. was
invited to Disney World to perform at MGM studios for an organization called Young
Presidents Organization. The chairman of YPO saw Figureheads perform at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and decided that they should be the entertainment for
"Abracadabra"--the YPO family Disney experience. Figureheads and their families
were flown to Disney World to perform for 120 YPO members and their families
(about 500 people), and to do a music writing workshop with the children of the YPO
members. This relationship has resulted in multiple local and nationwide contacts
and opportunities, including a trip to Philadelphia, PA and Hartford, CT where Figureheads performed and did workshops with inner-city youth from these cities.
Figureheads has also been invited to local Rotary and Optimist Clubs to perform and
present their vision for serving the next generation through music and mentorship.

Figureheads, Inc. has been invited to camps for inner-city youth on both coasts of
the United States, including cities such as Los Angeles, CA, Philadelphia, PA and
