The restaurant at the upper station of the Schareck lift, the restaurant and at the Kasereck, and the Tauernalm Inn are waiting for you to stop by for some refreshment. Experience a bird’s eye view of Heiligenblut and learn more about the hazard zones of the village. Avalanches are the main danger on Schareck mountain, you can see it in the amount of protection structures. The history of Heiligenblut is closely linked with the impact of this natural hazard. Follow me up to the peak, on the way you’ll learn a lot about snow, weather phenomena, and the formation of avalanches.
