hello I am looking for infornation in Everd E bleeker and Am the grossen
Hiekiens married in Campen. Ostfriesland Germany in 1864 September or

Seeking information on a ship lost on the North sea in 1863. EILERT
GERDES VOSS (1822-1863) was the owner and captain of this sailing
vessel. Both he and his 14 year old son, GERD, died. His wife was
MARGARETHA SCHOON. They lived in Warsingsfehn and are buried in the
historical cemetery there.
WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE SHIP AND HOW MAY I FIND OUT MORE

I looking for some information Johanna Gersdorff She is from Germany
lived and died there. She was born in West Prussia GERMANY I WAS
TOLD THREW THE FAMILY THAT SHE WAS THE NIECE OF KAYSER

only know that she married John Tottleben also of the same place, and

I have traced the Alberts to Meyer to Meyers family name back to 1764
to Upleward, Emden, Germany (Siebe Alberts).
I have traced the Meyers family name back to 1764 to Upleward, Emden,
Germany. Siebe Alberts was born around 1764 and died 9-4-1814.
Alberts eventually became Meyer then Meyers. My brother had his DNA
tested and it was 1/3 Wales (not German). I'm guessing the Alberts
family migrated from England at some point. I'm trying to trace roots to
England.

I am looking for Aurstriesland, Germany...can't find it, could you help
I would like to get in touch with anyone who is familiar with Wittmund or
who can communicate in German with the history center in that town.
My ancestors are Bernard Helms b.19 Nov 1817 and Catherine G. Janssen
B. 18 JAN 1823. They immigrated to the US in 1852 with two children. I
cannot find them in records in Wittmund.
Ancestry.com recently posted a list of WWI Casualty List, 1914-1917. In
this list was Dirk Hasseler- 16. 9. Kl Remels, Leer - suffered wound.
My Hasseler family is from Kl Remels and my 2nd great grandfather is
Dirk Focken Hasseler, born 17 May 1833. He was married twice. It is
possible the Dirk wounded in WWI is related to him.

Any ideas on how to get more information on the wounded soldier?
Any Wyckoffs here whose ancestor arrived in America from Ostfriesland
after 1637?
I am looking for information regarding my grandfather, Tjark Franken. I
am trying to pinpoint the exact area in which he was raised. I have been
told Emden and also Aurich. He was the oldest of 5 boys and the only
one who immigrated in about 1929. Any information is appreciated!
Answer to "Sweer Jurgens":
Family-names have been introduced in Ostfriesland first by Napoleon
and got compulsory under the rule of Hannover in 1874. „Jurgen“ (u with
two dots) is a common first name in Germany. Before family names had
been introduced, the name “Sweer Jurgens“ told that Sweer is the son of
Jurgen (Jurgen’s son); his eldest son would have been named “Jurgen
Sweers” (son of Sweer). – But this was not a fixed rule!!! Later on the
sons often got the first name of their father as second Christian name –
with an additional “s”. In my book “Ostfriesland verstehen” you can find
more about naming (in German language).
I am tryibng to find out where Einwalder Hannover was located- does it
exist today- I have just found out that my ggg grandparents Hiram (Harm)
Dirks Buss and his wife Tetje' Hedden Buss were married there Feb. 9,
1834- I am needing any and all info - I have been looking for this info
(name of village) for 20 years and have now hopefully found a missing
link to my family:)

On the online source Genealogy.net
It doesn't show a wife for Hinrich Sullwold.From the "book" called
Kerchenbuchduplikat, 1794-1874 It shows Hinrich Sullwold married to
Maria Meents
But on Genealogy.net it shows Maria Meents married to Adde Siebels
ADDEN. Which one should I believe?

What can you tell me about Ebelings from Germany...especially meaning
I am trying to find any information about Gottlieb Freier. Married to
Henrietta Lochstedt. born in 1838 in Germany and left for USA in Jan
1893 from the port of Bremen, Germany aboard the Weimar. I'm afraid

I would like to know what information is available for Emden. The records
of a family line in Leeuwarden, Netherlands indicate that they were born
in Emden in the 1795 and 1798. I've heard the Emden records may have
been destroyed in WWII. Can you direct me? Thanks.
I am looking for information regarding one of my ancestors that
supposedly was a guard for Kaiser Wilhelm II. He was a Meyer, but I am

any information about either of them. I am told that the Lutheran Church
in Riepe is the family home church of the Tholen family. I plan to visit

mother that ties us to Ostfriesen: Lucretia Henrietta Pannenborg (18691935). Henrietta's parents, Hinderk(?) Roberts Pannenborg (18321893)and Ida Christine Mienders (1839-1899) married and died in

died 5/5/1897 Wybelsum.Married Bauwiene Andersa Warnke. His
parents were Harm Hidden Jansonius and Engle Alberts. Any information

I have been trying to trace all my distant ancestors family lines. One line
which I have followed is WEERTS,FOCKE, b. 1821 Hollen in Illinois/South
Dakota. Father is HEYE JANSSEN WEYERTS (WEERTS) b. 1785 Kleinsander his father JANSSEN WEYERTS, b. 1750 Jubberde - his father, WEYERT
MILFFS, b. Feb 1710 Kleinsander - father MILFF BROERS, b. 1664,
Kleinsander/mother GESCHE WEYERS, b. Feb 1681 - parents WEYERT
UHDEN, b. abt 1635/mother SEYDE SIMONS, b. abt 1649 both Spols mother's father SIMON THOLEN, b. abt 1610, Gross Oldendorf. My line
generated from one of her brothers. Before I follow it any further, I am
hopinng someone else has traced their line back and I have followed it
correctly using German Church Records. I would like to hear.
I am searching for information on OTTO ORB who migrated to Chile in
1890. He was born on the 25 November 1868. His father was Robert Orb
and his mother Maria Hunlich. Any information will be much appreciated

I am seeking more information on relatives, particularly, parents and
siblings of George Ruschen or Gerhard Dick van Ruschen from
Deternlehe. He left his village in 1920(I believe) and arrived in New York
making his way to Clara City, MN and then later settled in Renville and
Raymond, MN. I have visited the school in Deternlehe and his family
home (at the time of his birth in 1902) which was across the road from
the school he attended. He had a brother named Albrecht van Rueschen
from Westerstede. He died in 2011. He was quite a bit younger than
George and did not recall much information about him. If you have any
information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am seeking the Birth record information of my GGG-Grandfather Fokke
De Groote. I show him born in Germany but I believe his birth was in
Holland.
I know that my line comes down as follows.
Fokke Henry De Groote b.1829 he married Trientje Von Zueren and they

Looking for Sjaabe Tiden Lottmann who might be found in this area. He
was born approximately from 1797-1801 (22 March). He came to New
Orleans, Louisiana sometime between 1833-1837, and married my g-g
aunt, Susanna Born, from Alzey, Hesse-Darmstadt. He died 17 January
1877 in Peoria, Illinois, USA. Several Censuses state he was from
Hannover, but no village has ever been listed. I suspect that he may have
had a wife that may have died in childbirth as a reason why he left
Germany and came to the USA. If anyone knows of any Lottmanns that
would lead me to be able to trace his ancestors, I would be thrilled.

I am interested in finding information about Christian Paul Grimm whom I
believe is my GGGrandfather. He was born in Zweibruken between 17721785 and emigrated to Canada around Lunenburg I believe in 1832 or
thereabouts with his wife Elizabetha Traudtmann. It is likely that his
father (Jacob?) and several siblings also came to Canada though info is
sketchy.
According to a book written by Mary F. Kendrick "Down the Road to
Yesterday", 1941 (A history of Springfield annapolis county, Nova Scotia)
"Jacob Grimm came from Germany where his older children were born.
He married charlotte----- and settled in Lunenburg County. children
Christian, Daniel, Jacob, Martha, Margaret and one other daughter."
I believe my lineage to be Jacob -> Christian -> James Christian ->
Fernando O'dell - Ross Hayward and I am Paul Hayward Grimm. (All
deceased except me)
Christian Grimm and his son James Christian Grimm settled in Springfield
in 1859.

We are trying to locate the parish in Leer, Germany where Wilhelm and
his son Dietrich Diekhoff were residing circa 1860. We have a picture of
the church in Leer, located next to a canal where Dietrich was baptized.
My grandmother Matida Hendricks is in the line of Harmon her father

I am seeking information on my great grandfather's family. His name was
Edo Wessels and he was born in Ardorf, Germany 2 February, 1857. His
mother's name was Hieme Peters, also of Ardorf and his father was Jan F
Wessels. Edo immigrated to the United States in 1884 or 1885 and settled
in Sterling, Illinois. He immigrated with his wife, Hiemke, born 4 June,

Searching for related Tobens, especially siblings of my great grandfather,
Hermann Gottfried Theodor TOBEN, b 9 June 1841 in Jever, Ostfriesland.
He married Anna Maria Weers of Carolinensiel and emigrated in May
1868 to Peoria, Illinois, and died 14 July 1921. Death record lists Henrietta
Kraus as his mother; nothing for father but first son was named Anton
Hermann Toben. I am the last of this Toben family as they "daughtered
out." Did he have any siblings that either emigrated or remained in
Germany? I would really like to know and maybe have a contact. They
were Lutheran and I've just returned from the LDS Library in Salt Lake City
which only has the Catholic records.
My forefathers came from Ost friesen. in about 1860. Name is Abels. Are

WESSELS - I am looking for any connections to Herman or Karl Wessels.
They immigrated to Iowa in 1906 at the ages of 14 & 15 from Jever,
