Welches Polymer eignet sich für Ihre Zwecke am besten?
Was Sie brauchen, halten wir für Sie bereit. Selbst, wenn Sie sich auf außergewöhnliche
­Produkteigenschaften verlassen wollen oder müssen.
Temperaturbeständigkeit
Standardmäßig haben Nylon und Polyester eine ähnliche maximale Einsatztemperatur zwischen 80 °C und 100 °C (176 – 212 °F). Polypropylen (PP) und LDPE besitzen dagegen eine
niedrigere Temperaturbeständigkeit.
Chemikalienbeständigkeit
Nylon hat eine ausgezeichnete Beständigkeit in alkalischen Lösungen (ph >7). Polyester
haben eine außerordentliche Beständigkeit in Säuren (ph <7), während PP allgemein eine
gute Beständigkeit in allen Chemikalien aufweist.
Nass- oder Trockenanwendung?
Die am besten geeigneten Polymere für Nassanwendungen sind Polyester PBT, Nylon 610
und Nylon 612 aufgrund ihrer sehr niedrigen Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme. PP und LDPE nehmen
ebenfalls keine Feuchtigkeit auf. Nylon 6 und 66 werden weicher und weniger wirksam, je
länger sie mit Feuchtigkeit in Berührung kommen.

Which polymer is the best suited to your application?
Whatever you need, we have it: even if you are looking for the most unusual of properties.
Temperature resistance:
Regular Nylons and Polyesters have a comparable continuous working temperature of
80 – 100°C (176 – 212°F). Polypropylene (PP) and LDPE will withstand less.
Chemical resistance:
Nylon has an excellent resistance to alkaline solutions (pH >7). Polyester has an excellent
resistance to acids (pH <7). PP has a good resistance to all chemicals.
Wet or dry application?
The best suited polymers for wet applications are Polyester PBT, Nylon 6.10 and Nylon 6.12
due to their low moisture absorption. PP and LDPE absorb no moisture. Nylon 6 and 6.6
become softer and less effective, the longer they remain in contact with moisture.

Unsere im Unternehmen entwickelten Marken Hahlbrasif®, Abralon and Abrafil® überzeugen
mit konstanter Durchmessergenauigkeit, gleichmäßiger Kornverteilung, immer gleichem
Kornanteil und natürlich durch ihre abrasiven Eigenschaften. Für unsere Fasern verwenden
wir die Polymere Nylon 6, Nylon 610 und Nylon 612, lieferbar in den Körnungen SiC, AO,
KK (­Keramik), Diamant, DIAMIC. Apropos lieferbar: Natürlich finden Sie in unserem Sortiment
nicht nur die Standard-Korngrößen von 36 bis 1.000, sondern auf Anfrage ebenso nahezu
jede andere Größe oder jeden anderen Durchmesser. Der größte Teil dieser Filamente ist sofort
für Sie versandbereit.
Weil wir gerne noch einen Schritt weiter gehen, finden Sie in unserem Sortiment auch co­
extrudierte Abrasive mit bis zu 5 Fäden sowie Bilonzusätze, die die Lebenszeit von Bürsten
und Werkzeugen, die alkalischen Lösungen ausgesetzt sind, deutlich erhöhen können. Sie
sehen: wenn es hart auf hart kommt, sind wir für Sie da.

Our in-house developed brands Hahlbrasif®, Abralon and Abrafil® stand out through their
consistent diameter control, even grit distribution and grit load and obviously through their
­abrasive properties. Our abrasive filaments are manufactured from Nylon 6, Nylon 610
and Nylon 612 polymers and are available in SiC, AO, Ceramic, Diamond and DIAMIC grit.
­Availability-wise, you will not just find the standard grit sizes from 36 – 1000, but on request
the option of all diameters and grit size combinations. The vast majority of our range is avail­
able for immediate delivery from stock.
Because we like to go the extra mile, you will also find co-extruded abrasives with up to
5 ends and a Bilon® range, which considerably extends the lifetime of brushes and tools
­working in high alkali solutions. So you see when the going gets tough, we really are there

Sauber­keit auch genügt. Oft genug bedeutet „sauber“ auch
„hygienisch rein“ – und dann sind oft genug Produkte von
