ATMs
Entrance
ATMs are available at various locations in the Exhibit Hall and Conference Center.
The entrance to Planet Comicon
is through the 2200 Lobby of Bartle Hall, which is located on 13th
Street between Central and Broadway. Enter through the doors on the
south side of the street and proceed
down the long hallway to the 2300
Lobby. Signage will guide you to
the Will Call or Ticketing areas.
Autographs
All media guests will charge for
their autographs. Prices for autographs are at the guest’s discretion.
Comics creator guests generally
do not charge for autographs, but
there are exceptions. In an effort
to keep the lines moving, many
creators will place a limit on how
many autographs will be given to a
single individual at one time. After
that time, they may begin to charge
or ask that you get back in line. Be
respectful of the guests and your
fellow convention attendees.
First Aid
A First Aid Station is located in the
Exhibit Hall, next to the sky bridge
to the Conference Center.
Gaming
There is extensive electronic and
tabletop gaming available at Planet
Comicon. See page 2 for details.
Concessions
Harassment
There are many food and beverage
locations in the Bartle Hall exhibit
area and the Convention Center
panel room areas. Watch for food
trucks at the north end of the Exhibit
Hall. In addition, downtown Kansas
City provides many dining options
within walking distance of the facilities. See page 30 for discounts!
Planet Comicon Kansas City is
dedicated to providing a safe and
fun environment for all fans. Toward
that goal we have adopted guidelines for respecting the feelings and
personal space of others. Please
see the Anti-harassment Standards
page for our policies and procedures.
Cosplay
To report harassment please find
the nearest Planet Comicon Kansas City volunteer or security personnel. They will direct you to an information desk or security center. If
you feel your safety or the safety of
others is in jeopardy please contact
the Kansas City Police Department
at 911 if an emergency.
Planet Comicon encourages attendees to come to the event in
costume. There is a large cosplay
area in the exhibit hall for easy display and photography of costumes.
See page 12 for info about the
adult and kids costume contests.
dress code
We are a family-friendly show.
Clothing and costumes should not
exceed PG-rating standards; no
nudity, profanity, or abusive content. Use common sense. You must
wear shoes at all times (no bare
feet). Event participants must abide
by management decisions about
appropriate standards of dress.
32
For your own safety, if you feel that
you are being harassed in a nonemergency situation please report
your problems to us before anyone
else.
If you cannot find a staff, crew, or
volunteer member to assist you,
please go to the Will Call desk located near registration or the Information Booth #2900. Please report
to us before taking matters into
your own hands (such as personally confronting the aggressor or
posting on social media). We have
professional security and they are
properly equipped for these contingencies.
Lost and Found
Visit the Planet Comicon Information booth (#2900) for lost or found
items.
Programming
Panel programming is located east
of the Exhibit Hall in the 2500 and
3500 floors of the Convention Center. Go through the doors on the
east side of the Exhibit Hall and
cross the skywalk to reach the 3500
floor. From the 3500 floor, go down
the escalators to the 2500 floor.
See the map on page 1.
Photographs
Photography is encouraged at
Planet Comicon, but is strictly prohibited in Celebrity Row, except
with express permission of a celebrity guest. Only photograph guests
and cosplay attendees with their
permission.
All celebrity guests are available
for photographs, though there may
be different stipulations regarding
the circumstances. Some will take
a photo with you at their table with
your camera for a fee; others will
only be available for professional
photos.
Professional photography with celebrity guests is managed by Epic
Photo Ops located at the southeast
end of the Exhibit Hall, behind Celebrity Row. Epic Photo Ops accepts only cash on site for photo
opportunities on site. Visit the Celebrity Photo Ops area for more information about pricing and schedules.
