Region Schladming-Dachstein
…Sportregion mit Wohlfühlfaktor
Ob im Sommer oder Winter, die Region Schladming - Dachstein hat jede Menge zu bieten. Im Winter verspricht die 4-Berge Skischaukel
Winterspass pur auf und abseits der Piste. Neben dem klassischen Skifahren stehen weitere Wintererlebnisse wie Pistengerätefahren,
Schlittenhundecamp, VIP-Heli-Skiing oder Tandemparagleiten auf dem Programm. Im Sommer kann man mittels Bike oder bei den unzähligen Wandermöglichkeiten die grandiose Bergwelt erkunden. Für besondere Erlebnisse neben den klassischen Sportarten ist ebenfalls
gesorgt und so kann man sich beim Rafting, Bogenschiessen, Mountain Go Kart, Kajak oder beim Downhillbiken austoben. Bekannt wurde die gesamte Region aber aufgrund ihrer unzähligen Veranstaltungen die Jahr für Jahr wieder stattfinden. Ein Klassiker, der jährlich die
weltbesten Slalomartisten und 45.000 Skifans auf die Planai lockt, ist sicher das Nightrace in Schladming, welches bereits seit 1997 ein
Fixpunkt im Terminkalender des Weltcups ist und somit das gesamte Gelände in einen Hexenkessel verwandelt.

Schladming-Dachstein region
… the place for active sports with the feel-good factor
No matter whether in summer or winter, the Schladming-Dachstein region has plenty to offer. In winter the 4-mountain ski area guarantees
sheer winter fun both on and off the slopes. In addition to classical skiing the programme also includes lots of other winter experiences, such
as a ride on a grooming machine, a husky camp, VIP heli-skiing or tandem paragliding. In summer you can explore the magnificent mountain
landscape by bike or on one of the many hiking trails. You can also let off steam during one of the more unusual sports activities, such as
rafting, archery, mountain go-karting, kayaking or downhill biking. The whole region however first became famous because of the numerous
events which take place every year. One classic event which annually attracts the world’s best slalom artists and 45 000 ski fans to the Planai
is certainly the night race in Schladming, which has held a fixed place in the world championship calendar since 1997 and transforms the
whole of the area into a hub of excitement.

Die Wochen vor Weihnachten sind in Österreich die Zeit der romantischen Weihnachtsmärkte und des Adventzaubers. Beim Bummeln, Gustieren und Staunen
steigt die Vorfreude auf das schönste Fest des Jahres.
Ob hoch über den Dächern von Innsbruck, in den Katakomben der Kufsteiner Festung oder am Ufer des Wörthersees – hier lässt es sich besonders romantisch auf
Weihnachten einstimmen. In fast allen österreichischen Städten findet man schöne
Weihnachtsmärkte, welche zum vorweihnachtlichen verweilen einladen.
Allein in Wien wartet ein Dutzend Märkte wie z.B. das Weihnachtsdorf vor dem
Schloß Belvedere, der Wiener Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz mit integriertem
Adventkalender an den Fenstern oder der traditionelle Markt am Schloss Schönbrunn. Schloss Eferding und Maissau laden zum jährlichen Schlossadvent. Einen
kleinen aber feinen Adventmarkt finden Sie in Anif bei Salzburg - der Waldklang

roofs of Innsbruck, in the catacombs of Kufstein Fortress or on the shores of Lake Wörth – these are particularly romantic places to get into
the spirit of Christmas. There are picturesque Christmas markets in nearly all Austrian cities where you can enjoy this special time. In Vienna
alone there are a dozen markets, e.g. the Christmas village in front of Belvedere Palace, the Christkindlmarkt in front of the City Hall with
its advent calendar in the windows, or the traditional market in front of Schönbrunn Palace. Eferding Castle and Maissau invite you to the
annual castle advent and a small but fine advent market can be found in Anif near Salzburg – the “Waldklang” in the woods is a harmonious
blend of nature, light, colour and sound and creates a very special Christmas atmosphere.
