Flughafentransitvisumpflicht (Visum A):
Staatsangehörige der mit "X" gekennzeichneten Staaten benötigen für die Durchreise durch die internationale Transitzone der österreichischen
Flughäfen ein Visum A.
Ausnahmen:
 Inhaber eines gültigen einheitlichen Visums, eines nationalen Visums für den längerfristigen Aufenthalt oder eines von einem Mitgliedstaat
[=Schengen-Mitgliedstaaten] erteilten Aufenthaltstitels;
 Drittstaatsangehörige, die über einen von dem Vereinigten Königreich und Irland oder von einem Mitgliedstaat, der die Bestimmungen des
Schengen-Besitzstands noch nicht vollständig anwendet [=Bulgarien, Rumänien, Zypern, Kroatien], ausgestellten gültigen Aufenthaltstitel
verfügen oder Drittstaatsangehörige, die über einen in Anhang V aufgelisteten gültigen Aufenthaltstitel verfügen, der von Andorra, Kanada,
Japan, San Marino oder den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika ausgestellt wurde und die vorbehaltlose Rückübernahme des Inhabers
garantiert;
 Drittstaatsangehörige, die über ein von dem Vereinigten Königreich und Irland oder für einen Mitgliedstaat, der die Bestimmungen des
Schengen-Besitzstands noch nicht vollständig anwendet [=Bulgarien, Rumänien, Zypern, Kroatien], oder für Kanada, Japan oder die
Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika erteiltes Visum verfügen, wenn sie in das Land, das das Visum erteilt hat, oder in jeden anderen Drittstaat
reisen oder wenn sie nach Inanspruchnahme des Visums aus dem Land zurückkehren, das das Visum erteilt hat;
 Familienangehörige von Unionsbürgern, die unter die Richtlinie 2004/38/EG fallen, unabhängig davon, ob sie alleine oder in Begleitung
eines EU-Bürgers reisen oder einem EU-Bürger nachziehen;
 Inhaber von Diplomatenpässen;
 Flugzeugbesatzungsmitglieder, die Staatsangehörige eines Vertragsstaats des Übereinkommens von Chicago über die internationale
Zivilluftfahrt sind.
(Airport transit visa requirement (visa A):
Nationals from certain third countries are required to hold an airport transit visa when passing through the international transit areas of the airports
situated on the territory of Austria.
The airport transit visa requirement (visa A) applies to third country nationals where the country is marked with “X” in the column “airport transit visa
requirement”.
The following categories of persons are exempt from this obligation:






holders of a valid uniform visa, national long-stay visa or residence permit issued by a Schengen Member State;
third-country nationals holding a valid residence permit issued by UK and Ireland or by a Member State which does not yet apply the provisions
of the Schengen acquis in full (=Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Croatia), or third-country nationals holding one of the valid residence permits
listed in Annex V issued by Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino or the United States of America guaranteeing the holder’s unconditional
readmission;
third-country nationals holding a valid visa for UK and Ireland, for a Member State which does not yet apply the provisions of the Schengen
acquis in full (=Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Croatia), or for Canada, Japan or the United States of America, when travelling to the issuing
country or to any other third country, or when, having used the visa, returning from the issuing country;
family members of citizens of the Union covered by Directive 2004/38/EC, irrespective of whether they travel alone, to accompany or join the EU
citizen
holders of diplomatic passports;
flight crew members who are nationals of a contracting Party to the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation.)
