A Brief Background of Libby and Ken - Uniquely Suited to REO's!
Libby Guthrie:
Graduate of the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
1976-1993: Prior to Real Estate, Libby worked in all aspects of mortgage lending including
positions of Loan Servicing Department Head and overseeing foreclosure and REO divisions.
During this time Libby worked at Greater Suburban Mortgage, Mason-McDuffie Mortgage,
Western Community Money Center, Bank of Contra Costa, Delta Pacific Bank, Network
Funding and First Republic Bank.
1993: Libby joined Coldwell Banker, Coon & McCreary Realtors as an agent. She was
immediately Rookie of the Year and went on to be consistently Top Producer.
1996: Began listing homes for Fannie Mae and EMC. Additionally over the years The Guthrie
Group has serviced or are currently servicing Bank of America, IndyMac (now One West Bank),
Wachovia Bank, Keystone Asset Management, Chrisley Asset Management, First American
Asset Management, Bankers Asset Management, IServe, Madison Assets Group, USRES, and
Alliant Credit Union.

Ken Guthrie:
Served in the United States Marine Corps.
Alumnus of the University of California Davis.
Has worked in all aspects of residential building and remodeling. Started as a laborer and went
on to own and run his own construction business. Licensed General Contractor for 26 years.
Managed facilities maintenance and REO field operations for Western Community Money
Center Bank for 3 years.
1995 joined Libby in Real Estate at Coldwell Banker, Coon & McCreary Realtors to form "The
Guthrie Group."
2005 to present: Realtor, Co-Owner Keller Williams East County, Brentwood, CA.
Ken likes to say Libby is "the star of the show" and he is the "producer and director."
Though Ken has not done any construction business since he joined The Guthrie Group, he
maintains his license and keeps up on the industry. His knowledge in this regard make him an
invaluable asset in managing those property condition issues that are unique to REO's.
