International F.A. Board (IFAB)
The International F.A. Board, the custodian of the Laws of the Game, is composed of The Football Association
(England), The Scottish Football Association, The Football Association of Wales, The Irish Football Association
(Northern Ireland) and FIFA. Representing its 204 other members, FIFA has four votes on the body, while the four
British associations have one vote apiece. A proposal requires a three-quarter majority (i.e. six of the eight votes)
to be passed.
El IFAB está integrado por representantes de las asociaciones de fútbol de Inglaterra, Escocia, Gales, Irlanda del
Norte y de la FIFA. Cada una de las cuatro asociaciones británicas tiene derecho a un voto, mientras que la FIFA,
en representación de sus 204 miembros restantes, dispone de cuatro. Para aprobar cualquier propuesta es
necesario alcanzar una mayoría de las tres cuartas partes, es decir seis del total de ocho votos.
L'International F.A. Board, gardien des Lois du Jeu, comprend The Football Association (Angleterre), The Scottish
Football Association (Ecosse), The Football Association of Wales (Pays de Galles), The Irish Football Association
(Irlande du Nord) et la FIFA. Chacune des associations membres possède une voix, à l'exception de la FIFA qui,
représentant les 204 autres fédérations affiliées, pèse pour quatre voix. Une majorité des trois quarts est requise
pour l'adoption de tout amendement.
Das International Football Association Board (IFAB) als Hüter der Fussballregeln besteht aus Vertretern der
Fussballverbände von England, Schottland, Wales und Irland sowie der FIFA. Die FIFA vertritt ihre restlichen 204
Mitgliedsverbände und verfügt in dem Gremium über vier Stimmen. Die vier britischen Verbände haben jeweils
eine Stimme. Für die Annahme von Vorschlägen ist eine Dreiviertelmehrheit (also mindestens sechs der acht
Stimmen) erforderlich.
