Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen von den Brüdern Heinrich und Bernhard Finke im Jahre 1967 und es begann mit der Veredelung von Stahl in exklusive Schmiedeartikel. The brand fmb has its roots in the family-owned company FINKE in Borken, North- Rhine-West- Phalia, near the dutch border. Since its foundation in 1967 by Heinrich and Bernhard Finke the company has refined steel into luxurious wrought iron objects. Today the assortment of lamps made by fmb covers more than 300 design series and a multiplicity of individually manufactured products for the building branche. Particularly for industrial buildings fmb has manufactured special solutions for the outside and internal areas supplying architects and end-customers during the last years. Das Achter¬ deck eines portugiesischen Segelschiffs des 17. Jahrhundert begrüsst den Besucher – das Deck wurde stilvoll mit Licht und Raum rekonstruiert – teilweise aus historischen Bauteilen und in rostigem Look gebaute Schiffslaternen und Kerzenhalter der Fa. Fmb Leuchten Schmiedeeisen bringen ein sehr stimmungsvolles Ambiente ins Restaurant. Hinter dem Schiff erwartet den Besucher ein grosszügiger Barbreich aus klassischen portugiesischen Fliesen und ein Blick in den offenen Küchenbereich. Weitere Tische mit eigenen Schiffslaternen entlang des aus Althölzern gebautem Segelschiffs laden den Besucher in eine gemütliche, historische Gastronomie ein. The idea went back to Portugal’s history as a great maritime and discoverer nation: To achieve this special, seafaring, atmospheric ambience, the back deck of a Portuguese sailing ship of the 17th Century welcomes the visitors. The deck has been stylishly reconstructed with light and space – partly made of historical components and built-in ship lanterns and candle holders in a rusty look by the company FMB Leuchten Schmiedeeisen GmbH. The reconstruction has been done in a highly authentic way. Adjacent to the ship , visitors can enjoy a generous bar zone with classic Portuguese tiles and a free view into the open kitchen area. Additional tables with proper ship lanterns all along the wooden sailing ship invite the visitor into a cozy gastronomy.
