Der traditionelle BMW Sportpokal wird in diesem Jahr zum 40. Mal
ausgeschrieben und kann damit bereits auf vier spannende Rennsportjahrzehnte zurückblicken.
Das Ziel des BMW Sportpokals war und ist es, Privatfahrer mit
einem Produktionswagen auf breiter Ebene zu unterstützen. Wir
freuen uns, Ihnen auch 2005 mit dieser Ausschreibung eine finanzielle
Hilfe anbieten zu können, und hoffen auf viele Bewerber für den
BMW Sportpokal 2005.

The traditional BMW Sports Trophy competition will be held for the
40th time this year, and can thus already look back on four exciting
decades of motorsport.
The aim of the BMW Sports Trophy has always been to provide farreaching support to private drivers entering BMWproduction cars
in competition events. It is our pleasure to offer you financial assistance
for 2005 by announcing the arrangements contained herein. We hope
that in 2005 we will once again see many participants competing for
the BMW SportsTrophy.

Teilnahme
Participation
Berechtigt zur Teilnahme am BMW Sportpokal 2005 sind alle Fahrer, die mit
homologierten BMW Fahrzeugen der Gruppen A, N oder GT an Rundstreckenrennen oder der FIA Berg-Europameisterschaft teilnehmen.
All drivers who take part in circuit races or the FIA European Hill Climb
Championship with homologated BMW vehicles of the groups A, N or GT
are eligible for participation in the BMW Sports Trophy 2005 competition.
BMW Modelle des Typs E30 oder älter werden nicht für den
BMW Sportpokal gewertet.
BMW Type E30 models or older are not eligible for the BMW Sports
Trophy.
Interessierte BMW Händler und Niederlassungen sind eingeladen, durch die
Teilnahme am BMW Sportpokal mit Fahrern aus ihrem Verkaufsbereich die
Popularität und Sportlichkeit ihres Hauses darzustellen.
Interested BMW dealers and sales subsidiaries are encouraged to display the
popularity and sports character of their dealerships by participating in the
BMW Sports Trophy with drivers from their sales area.
Alle teilnehmenden Fahrer müssen im Besitz einer gültigen nationalen oder
internationalen Fahrerlizenz sein.
All participating drivers must be in possession of a valid national or international
competition licence.
Mit Erhalt eines BMW Sportpokal Fahrerausweises werden den eingeschriebenen Teilnehmern folgende Leistungen gewährt:
Every registered participant will receive a BMW Sports Trophy Driver ID which
will provide him or her with the following:
– Punktwertung für den BMW Sportpokal bei gültiger Erfolgsmeldung
– Rabatte auf Original BMW Teile gegen Vorlage eines gültigen
Fahrerausweises
– Unfallversicherung
– Eligibility for the BMW Sports Trophy by presentation of official results
– Discount on Original BMW Parts on submission of valid driver ID
– Accident insurance
Erfolge von Teams, Fahrzeugen und Fahrern, die für die BMW AG
oder BMW Tochtergesellschaften antreten bzw. von diesen eine
direkte oder indirekte Unterstützung erhalten, werden nicht für den
BMW Sportpokal gewertet. Die Teilnahmeberechtigung erteilt
ausschließlich BMW Motorsport.

Any team, vehicles or drivers who registered for participation in the
BMW Sports Trophy competition who enter for the BMW AG or BMW
subsidiaries and who receive direct or indirect support from these
shall not be eligible to score any points in the BMW Sports Trophy.
Unfallversicherung
Accident insurance
Jeder BMW Sportpokal Fahrer ist während der Saison gegen Unfälle bei allen
offiziellen Rennveranstaltungen mit folgenden Summen versichert:

Es liegen die allgemeinen Unfallversicherungsbedingungen (AUB) zugrunde.
Der Versicherungsschutz beginnt mit Eingang einer gültigen Anmeldung bei
BMW Motorsport.
Die Abwicklung von Schadensfällen erfolgt über BMW Motorsport. Unfälle sind
BMW Motorsport unverzüglich anzuzeigen.
Every BMW Sports Trophy Driver is insured against accidents in all official
motorsport events during the season for the following amounts:

The above is based on the general terms and conditions of accident insurance
(AUB).
Insurance protection begins with the arrival of the valid application at
BMW Motorsport.

immediately to BMW Motorsport.

Sondervergünstigungen
für Original BMWTeile
Den Teilnehmern des BMW Sportpokals werden Rabatte bis zu 30 % auf die
gültigen Listenpreise von Original BMW Teilen und BMW Motorsport Teilen
eingeräumt, sofern diese für das sportlich verwendete BMW Fahrzeug benötigt
werden. Diese Vergünstigungen können jedoch nur bei einem Teilebezug ab
BMW Niederlassung garantiert werden.
Die Lieferung von Original BMW Teilen setzt voraus, dass die Daten des Fahrzeugs, für das die Teile benötigt und bestellt werden, bei BMW Motorsport
angemeldet sind. Daher müssen die Fahrzeugdaten bei jeder Bestellung angegeben werden.
Vergünstigte Bestellungen sind schriftlich unter dem Stichwort
„BMW Sportpokal Bestellung“ bei einer BMW Niederlassung aufzugeben.
Händlerfirmen sind nicht zur Einräumung der Vergünstigungen verpflichtet.
Eine Verrechnung mit Preisgeldern ist nicht möglich.
Alle vergünstigten Käufe unterliegen den allgemeinen Verkaufs- und Lieferbedingungen für Original BMW Teile, Original BMW Austauschteile und BMW
Sonderzubehör und BMW Motorsport Teile. Bei Teilebezug ab BMW Niederlassung ist der BMW Sportpokal Fahrerausweis stets vorzulegen.
Diese Bestimmungen haben nur für Deutschland Gültigkeit. BMW
Sportpokal Fahrer wenden sich im Ausland bitte an die jeweilige BMW
Tochtergesellschaft bzw. an den jeweiligen BMW Importeur.

Special discounts
on Original BMW Parts
Participants in the BMW Sports Trophy competition receive a discount of
up to 30 % on the currently valid price list. Discounts shall only apply to such
Original BMW Parts and BMW Motorsport Parts which are required for a
competition vehicle. Such concessionary terms are only available if parts are
obtained from a BMW subsidiary.
Before parts can be delivered, the relevant data concerning the respective
vehicle must be supplied to BMW Motorsport. This data must also be supplied
with every subsequent parts order.
Orders for which drivers wish to claim a discount must be made in writing, with
the heading “BMW Sports Trophy Order”, and sent to a BMW subsidiary.
Dealers are not obliged to grant discounts. Offsetting with prize money is not
possible.
All purchases for which driver discounts have been granted are subject to
the general sales and delivery terms and conditions for Original BMW Parts,
Original BMW Exchange Parts, BMW Special Accessories and BMW Motorsport Parts. When purchasing parts from a BMW branch, the BMW Sports
Trophy Driver ID must be presented at the time.
The above shall only apply to purchases made in Germany. BMW
Sports Trophy Drivers in other countries should contact the respective
BMW subsidiary or importer in their country.

Punktesystem
BMW Sportpokal Punkte werden in folgenden Kategorien vergeben:
A
Gesamtwertung
FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
B
Gesamtwertung
Alle nationalen Meisterschaften für Gruppe-N-2-Liter-Fahrzeuge nach
FIA WTCC Super-2000-Reglement (bspw. DMSB PWM, STCC).
C Gesamtwertung
Alle nationalen Meisterschaften für Gruppe-N-2-Liter-Fahrzeuge nach
nationalem Super-2000-Reglement (bspw. DTC, RTCC).
Klassenwertung
Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring (VLN),
FIA Berg-Europameisterschaft, internationale Langstreckenrennen,
nationale GT-Meisterschaften (bspw. Belcar).
Nicht punkteberechtigt sind Fahrer, die für die BMW AG oder BMW
Tochtergesellschaften antreten bzw. von diesen eine direkte oder
indirekte Unterstützung erhalten. Die Punktevergabe erfolgt
ausschließlich durch BMW Motorsport.
Wenn bei Langstreckenrennen mehrere Fahrer denselben Wagen fahren,
erhalten alle die gleiche Anzahl Punkte. Ist ein Fahrer bei einem Langstreckenrennen für zwei oder mehr Fahrzeuge als Fahrer gemeldet, zählt nur das beste
eingefahrene Ergebnis. Alle Fahrer eines Wagens sowie die Marke BMW
müssen in den offiziellen Ergebnislisten genannt sein.
Bei mehreren Auswertungsmöglichkeiten für einen Lauf (Doppelstart) kommt
jeweils die höchste Punktezuteilung zur Anerkennung. Die Punkte sind nicht
kumulierbar. Dies gilt auch, wenn Veranstaltungen in zwei Rennen ausgetragen
werden. In diesem Fall wird nur ein Lauf, die bessere Platzierung bzw. – bei
unterschiedlichen Distanzen der einzelnen Rennen – das Hauptrennen bzw.
der längere Lauf gewertet; auch wenn für beide Läufe unabhängige Ergebnisse
erstellt werden.
Der Einsendeschluss für Erfolgsmeldungen der Saison 2005 ist der
26. Oktober 2005. Danach eintreffende Erfolgsmeldungen können nicht mehr
berücksichtigt werden. Der Erfolg muss mit einem homologierten Fahrzeug
der Gruppen A, N oder GT errungen werden. Alle anderen Fahrzeuggruppen
können im BMW Sportpokal nicht berücksichtigt werden.
Für eine Punktezuteilung sind folgende Starterzahlen erforderlich:

Divisionsplatzierungen werden nicht zur Wertung herangezogen.
Wenn die erforderlichen Starterzahlen nicht erreicht werden, erfolgt keine
Punktezuteilung.
Anmerkung: Alle Veranstaltungen, die nach dem 26. Oktober 2005
stattfinden, werden für den BMW Sportpokal 2006 gewertet. Dazu ist
eine Neuanmeldung für 2006 erforderlich.
Die erzielten Erfolge sind bei BMW Motorsport auf dem dafür vorgesehenen
Formular, der Erfolgsmeldung, zusammen mit der offiziellen Ergebnisliste
innerhalb einer Frist von vier Wochen per Fax einzureichen.

Die Punktezuteilung erfolgt gemäß
nachstehender Tabelle. Bei Langstreckenrennen werden zusätzlich
folgende Aufschläge auf die eingefahrenen Punkte zugeteilt:

Scoring system
Points are awarded towards the BMW Sports Trophy in the following
categories:
A
Total Score
FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
B
Total Score
All national championships for Group N 2-litre vehicles according to the
FIA WTCC Super 2000 regulations (e. g. DMSB PWM, STCC).
C Total Score
All national championships for Group N 2-litre vehicles according to
national Super 2000 regulations (e.g. DTC, RTCC).
Class Score
Long-Distance Championship Nürburgring (VLN), FIA European
Hill Climb Championship, international long-distances races, national

Participating drivers who enter for the BMW AG or BMW subsidiaries
or receive direct or indirect support from them shall not be eligible to
score any points. Points are awarded exclusively by BMW Motorsport.
If several drivers drive the same car in long-distance races, they will all receive
the same scores. If a driver is registered as a driver for two or more vehicles in
a long-distance race, only the best result obtained will count. All drivers of a car
must be named in the official result sheets, as must the BMW brand.

Results sheets must be faxed to BMW Motorsport using the official success
report form within four weeks of obtaining the results, and the official results list
must also be enclosed. If several methods of scoring apply to one event (i. e.
double start), the highest score shall be the one recognised. The points cannot
be accumulated. This shall also be the case when the events take place as two
races. In such cases, only one heat, the better placing or (if the races are run
over different distances) the main race or longer heat shall be scored, even if
independent results are obtained in each heat or race.
The last date for applications to participate shall be 26th October 2005.
Applications after that date shall not be included. To qualify, successful results
must have been achieved using a homologated vehicle in the group A, N or
GT. All other vehicle groups shall not be eligible for the BMW Sports Trophy.
To receive points, the following number of starters is required:

Gewinner des BMW Sportpokals ist der Fahrer, der die höchste Punktzahl in
der laufenden Sportpokal-Saison erreicht hat. Die platzierten Fahrer erhalten
entsprechend der Punktzahl Pokale und Preisgelder.
Für den BMW Sportpokal werden alle Wettbewerbe entsprechend dieser
Ausschreibung gewertet.
End-of-year score
The winner of the BMW Sports Trophy is the driver who gains the highest
number of points in the current Sports Trophy season. The winning drivers
will receive trophies and prize monies in keeping with their point score.
All competitions shall be judged in accordance with this system in order to
qualify for the BMW Sports Trophy.
Ex aequo
Sind zwei oder mehrere Fahrer punktgleich, so erhält der Fahrer die bessere
Platzierung, der mehr erste, mehr zweite usw. Plätze bei den einzelnen Veranstaltungen erreicht hat. Wobei jedoch noch berücksichtigt werden muss,
in welchen Veranstaltungskategorien die Punkte herausgefahren wurden.
Besteht dann immer noch Punktgleichheit, so werden die entsprechenden
Geldbeträge addiert und an die Fahrer zu gleichen Teilen ausbezahlt.
Dead heats
If two or more drivers have the same scores, the driver with the highest number of individual first placings, second placings, etc. in all the events shall be
awarded the higher final placing. The event categories in which the points
were gained will also be taken into consideration. If the scores are still equal,
then the cash prizes will be added together and distributed equally to both
drivers.

Schlussbestimmungen
Final provisions
Mit der Bewerbung um den BMW Sportpokal erkennt jeder Fahrer die Bedingungen dieser Ausschreibung an. BMW und der gesamten BMW Verkaufsorganisation steht das Recht zu, mit den Sporterfolgen der BMW Sportpokal
Fahrer ohne Ankündigung und unentgeltlich zu werben.
BMW Motorsport erwartet von den Fahrern sportliche Fairness. Ein Verhalten,
das sich nachteilig auf die Marke BMW auswirkt, zieht den Ausschluss nach
sich. Desgleichen scheidet der Bewerber automatisch aus dem BMW Sportpokal aus, sofern keine Sportbeteiligung nachgewiesen wird. Alle Entscheidungen und Auslegungen zum BMW Sportpokal obliegen ausschließlich
BMW Motorsport.
Die Anrufung ordentlicher Gerichte oder einer Sportinstanz im Zusammenhang
mit dem BMW Sportpokal ist ausgeschlossen. Alle in dieser Ausschreibung
erörterten Subventionen und Vergünstigungen stellen eine freiwillige Anerkennung der Sporterfolge der BMW Privatfahrer dar. Eine Verpflichtung hieraus
kann nicht abgeleitet werden. BMW Motorsport behält sich das Recht vor,
die Bedingungen der Ausschreibung jederzeit zu ändern oder gegebenenfalls
fristlos aufzuheben.
BMW Motorsport erhält per E-Mail bis spätestens zum Einsendeschluss
für Erfolgsmeldungen eine professionelle digitale Aufnahme des Fahrers im
Rennoverall vor seinem Fahrzeug (mind. 300 dpi).
By applying to participate in the BMW Sports Trophy competition, every driver
recognises the conditions laid down in this document. BMW and the entire
BMW sales organisation have the right to use the sports successes achieved
by BMW Sports Trophy participants for advertising purposes, with no prior
notification and without payment.
BMW Motorsport expects fair sportsmanship from all participants. Any irregularities which have a disadvantageous effect on the BMW brand name shall
result in exclusion. Similarly, the participant shall automatically be removed from
the BMW Sports Trophy competition if he or she cannot be shown to have
any sporting involvement. The decisions and interpretations made by BMW
Motorsport concerning all matters pertaining to the BMW Sports Trophy are
final.
Proceedings before regular courts of law or sporting authorities regarding the
BMW Sports Trophy are excluded. All subsidies and benefits discussed in this
document represent the voluntary recognition of BMW private drivers’ sporting
achievements. No obligation can be derived from them. BMW Motorsport
reserves the right to change the regulations in this document at any time or
to cancel them without notice.
BMW Motorsport must receive via e-mail a professional digital photograph of
the driver wearing his or her racing overall and standing with his or her vehicle
(min. 300 dpi) at the latest by the closing date for success report forms.
