This book is made of “Part 1. Basics of Illustration”, “Part 2. How to Start
Illustrations”, “Part 3. Drawing Your Own Illustrations”, “Part 4. Making
Artworks with Illustrations”, and illustrations. Illustrators should have an
open attitude to draw any illustration requested by the client. Of course, one
needs to steadily make efforts and practice until he or she comes to have
that attitude. However, we recommend you to buy a notebook and draw
your own pictures in the order of this book.
Then, you will have a data full of your own pictures, and will realize that
you have practiced so much by the time when you finish this book. This
book contains various ideas for those who begin drawing to use this book as
a training tool and for those who already draw pictures to use the idea that
never had occurred to them.

When you were learning how to walk
for the first time, I couldn’t take my
eyes off you.
It was a miracle to see you walk and
mumble for the first time.
Every moment was a miracle watching
you growing up.
When you go to sleep, I look at you and
say, “Sweet dreams!”
When you go to sleep, I look at you and
say, “Tomorrow will be happier than
today!”
Today is your birthday!
Mommy is busy making your favorite
foods and preparing a present you like.
Today is your birthday!
I hope you always remember how much
you are loved.
Mommy is busy preparing for your
birthday party.
When I saw you whispering in daddy’s
ear, I prayed that you would keep
having a lot of conversations with him
forever.
As you get older, you gradually talk less
with your parents.
Having a lot to talk about is a great
thing. That means you are happy.

Recent publication of SEOWOOMEDIA
Economics Understood with Humanities
In simple terms, economy is activities of living. It means the activities of living things and not the
movements of machines or circulation of materials. Further, it is activities of ‘human’ from among all the
living things. The way people live is different from that of animals. Economics should not be turned into
math or physics in that it is a study on the way of living of living beings. Also, it should be researched on
the Recent publication of humanities in that it studies the ‘human’ way of living.
This book first focuses on understanding economics in a humanistic way. History and philosophy are close
to economics. In particular, history and economics have had a relationship with each other for a long time.
The representative case is the historical school of economics that began in Germany. The first humanistic
way of understanding, which this book first focuses on, is to interpret economics with the help of the
studies of this historical school. The second way is to start economics from philosophy. Philosophy is a
representative area to deal with the issues of human. The tasks of philosophy, in which economics is
interested, are a question about the human nature, the old argument on human psychology, and the issue
on cognitive capability of human. This book tries to understand economics and, further, the actual
economy, with a historical method and a variety of questions on human. This approach will help you
understand economy from a new angle, view economy more realistically, and establish realistic policies.
The paradox that you can find the most realistic method from humanities, which is misunderstood as the
most unrealistic one, is the virtue of this book.
Illustrations Drawn with a Pencil
You can draw great illustrations with only a pencil.
This book includes: how to use a pencil in various ways; how to use diverse ideas; how to draw
illustrations of objects looking differently according to the angle for viewing the object; and how to divide
objects to draw. Also, this book helps you draw scenery in our surroundings, folk costume of each country,
animals, plants, and people. You can learn how to utilize a variety of ideas in the part of this book on
drawing illustrations with an icon. You can complete a great illustration through using figures, drawing in
order, and combining several pictures.

Fast-Drawn Illustrations with Colored Pencils and Pens
How can you draw pictures easily? Sometimes you draw pictures as a hobby. And, you draw your daily
lives in your diary and also your memories. This book describes how to turn a picture into a threedimensional one with colored pencils, how to make a color by mixing colors of colored pencils, and how to
draw a three-dimensional picture with only one color and shadow. You can draw various illustrations in
each part with a theme and draw your own picture essay according to the given sentences.
Character Design
Clay animation is an animation with characters made from clay. Clay animation films include Wallace &
Gromit and Pingu. Clay animation films for theaters include Paranorman, Corpse Bride, Coraline, and
Frankenweenie. Also, clay is often used for creative children’s stories. Though those story books made with
clay are fewer than children’s stories with illustrations, clay is used for a variety of works as it looks threedimensional and arouses the curiosity of children. These days, creative children’s stories are beginning to
use 3D, and some make those books using both 2D and 3D with paper illustrations, illustrations, and 3D
illustrations.

World History Viewed with Exclamation Mark
History is a file of incidents recorded by someone. However, now we sympathize with the side that history
has abandoned and reinterpret the incidents from a different angle. Is the Roman Empire a history of
invasion or a history of founding a country? Was the Boston Tea Party the root of the War of American
Independence or the sign of rebellion of a colony? Is it the Nazi’s fault to have used children’s stories for
unity of the Germanic race? Or, is it the fault of the Grimm brothers that have published German folktales
on the basis of the nationalistic view of history in the first place?
If history is a file of incidents recorded by the strong, we need to reinterpret the history of the weak who
have been stamped by the strong. We should know how the strong have covered the truth and deceived us.
Therefore, this book tries to find a story that comes from top to bottom and ends with the peak. The point
left below the line connecting facts and truths may be a question, an impression, or a surprise. Whichever it
may be, you can feel the fun of puzzle to turn over history and newly organize it.
Drawing and Painting together with Mom
Drawing and painting are play. Children should be let select the color naturally and express their own ideas
without any pressure from parents or adults. Children’s creativity does not grow in already determined
pictures and colors. This book helps children start from drawing lines to drawing various figures, fruits,
vegetables, animals, insects, things, and people with diverse themes. Drawing and painting as a play grow
children’s creativity, observation, and expression to become more various and plentiful. Drawing and
painting enjoyed together with mothers will be a great play that connects the imagination and the reality.
Places Recommended by Travel Expert to Visit with Foreigners
These days people travel for a variety of purposes: slow tour to enjoy everything slowly and keep nostalgia
of civilization, the only DMZ of peace and life in the world, travel of the elderly in the aging society, travel
for rest, and intangible cultural assets of Korean traditions we meet while traveling. The book is made of
concepts such as travel with stories and people. The author thinks travel is possible only when the culture,
traditions, nature, and foods of the tourist spot are in harmony. Numerous books show travel intended to
show to others. However, this book covers those tourist attractions we did not try to know but foreigners
know more about than we do know, while also containing the interviews with and stories of masters on the
regional culture that is disappearing. This book finds traditional culture and masters and talks about culture
and history to the readers by designating places we do neither think about nor try to find as we are used to
the civilization. Each chapter of this book contains a theme.
