Sadly we bid farewell to Executive
Vice President Tad Fisher. But we plan to
do it in a fun, festive way … a la Jimmy Buffett!
Most all who know Tad well are aware of his
enthusiasm for Buffett and the laid-back Key
West/Margaritaville lifestyle. Join us in a grand
send-off for Tad as he gets one step closer to his
home at the beach in Melbourne.
On Saturday evening while we’re
having fun, we also want to
celebrate the many contributions
Tad has made to the Academy,
the Foundation, and the specialty
of family medicine over the past
fifteen years. Tickets for the event are $85 each
and include dinner, drinks, dancing, and a chance
to offer thanks and pay tribute to the man of the
hour, Mr. Tad P. Fisher. Sign up early for this special
event. Dress is Key West resort holiday attire.
While we will miss Tad’s being available on a daily
basis, we fully expect our paths to cross again in
the future. We wish all good things for Tad in his
new endeavors. Thanks for your leadership and
dedication to the specialty of family medicine.
You are an important part of the success family
medicine enjoys.

during the 87th Family Practice Weekend. Program
chairs were C. Biliston Clarke and Brian Ellis. Officers

Officers are: President Tim Davlantes, President-Elect
Dennis Mayeaux, Board Chair Cyneetha Strong, Vice

and Tad has been a vital component in the process of
change. We invite Tad’s friends, colleagues, and the
many Academy and Foundation leaders who have had
the pleasure of working with him to join us
in thanking him personally for 15 years of
outstanding service to Florida’s family
physicians, to the specialty, and to the
