Silent Letters
•Silent letters are letters you can’t hear when you say the
word, but are there when you write the word.
•There are no rules to follow, you just have to learn to spell
the words with silent letters.
• A few silent letters in words, such as ‘almond’ and ‘often’
are pronounced in some dialects and accents.
