STAY IN THE RED LETTERS !
At the end of our lifetimes, we will all stand before God and give an account of ourselves - the
books will be opened, as we await whether we go to Heaven or Hell.
The bottom line will be: Did we love God?
Jesus described the person who loves Him - by His definition. We have our own notions of what
a lifestyle of "loving God" looks like. To some, they think of going to church several times a week.
. . . To others, loving God is trying to be "good person" and being nice to others. Some, perhaps,
think of loving God as a good fuzzy feeling we carry towards Him. . .
But Jesus described the person who loves Him with His definition:
The person that loves God: This kind of person finds His commands (when reading His words)
and memorizes them, and then does them as life moments presents themselves.
There are "RED LETTER" Bibles - Bibles with words printed in red - whenever Jesus is talking,
the words are in RED.
I suggest underlining in your Bible with a pen and writing a small "C" next to the phrase or verse,
indicating it is a command and to make note of it for review next time you are "WORKING" the
RED LETTERS!
We all need to keep "working" the red letters. . . . Memorizing them. . . reviewing them . . .
pondering them . . . and then obviously applying them . . .
By doing this - Knowing and Doing His Commands - God thinks you truly love Him NOW
while here on earth! AND, on Judgment Day you will have a greater confidence. Your life on
earth proved (by His definition) that you loved Him! And, you can have great confidence on that
day!
SO, STAY IN THE RED LETTERS!

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Jesus said His commands are easy and light. . . . They are not hard.
*It is also important to note: When a person tries to obey God's commands, with their own
power and strength, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE. TRY IT. This was the purpose of the Old
Testament - with all the laws and decrees - to show mankind their utter sinfulness and that NO
ONE COULD OBEY THE LAW - NO ONE WAS "GOOD" - all men needed a Savior - All were
shut up in sin. All men and women, are completely evil without God. Period. With believing in
Jesus Christ, and He coming to live inside of us. . . Now we can be empowered by God Himself
in us - AND WE ARE ABLE TO OBEY ALL GOD'S COMMANDS!
This is what being born again is all about . . . becoming a new creature, with our spirits being
brought back from being dead, and now being alive in God.
THIS IS GOOD NEWS!
This is why Christianity is the best religion. If you really want to overcome your
sins . . . becoming born-again is your only hope. By asking God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Spirit to come and live in side of you, and repenting of
all your sins, and believing Jesus died instead of you on a cross - then you will
be a "good person" and be able to overcome all and any sin.
