I have a: 2 4 ,6 , 9 , 11 week extension of agreement (please tick which if any, is appropriate) 1. I acknowledge that: I have read and understood the Agreement Terms and Conditions Clauses 2.12 At the end of the Agreement, 6.3 Your other rights to terminate and Appendix Three Procedure for Request for Termination of Agreement In summary: The Agreement is for a place and not a specific room; the fact that a room previously occupied by me is filled does NOT necessarily mean that my old Agreement has been taken over by the incoming resident. There is no guarantee that a suitable replacement will be found and any student leaving or intending to leave a residence will remain liable for the full fee for the full period of residence until otherwise notified in writing. Students are advised not to vacate their accommodation until release has been confirmed. If after 10 working days, Accommodation Services have not been successful in finding a replacement a resident may seek their own suitable replacement. Residents should note however, that replacements will only be accepted if they are eligible for the accommodation and should therefore, liaise with Accommodation Services regarding this matter. If replaced, an administration charge of £30 will be made. On termination or immediately following the expiration of any period of notice of termination of the Agreement I will remove all personal effects from the Residence (including possessions in storage rooms) in accordance with The Agreement Terms and Conditions 2.12. The room must be vacated and locked and the keys returned to the Residence Manager or a person nominated by the Manager. Any personal effects not so removed will remain at my risk and will be removed and may at the reasonable discretion of the Residence Manager, after giving me reasonable notice (normally one notification which may be written or oral), be disposed of by the College without further warning in accordance with the Agreement Terms and Conditions Clause 2.12.) I have discussed any exceptional circumstances which are relevant to my request to terminate my Residence Agreement with a member of staff at Accommodation Services Failure to comply with the Agreement Terms and Conditions will lead to the College disciplinary procedure being invoked which in turn could lead to suspension from College. I may also give written notice overleaf to vacate the premises in accordance with the automatic release dates and acknowledge that I have read and understood the Agreement Terms and Conditions Clause 6 and Appendix Three (My Residence Handbook) Procedure for Request for Termination of Agreement A Resident who has accepted a licence to occupy the accommodation for the standard 40 week period of residence may give written notice (on form NTV/13) of his/her intention to vacate the premises in accordance with the appropriate procedure; automatic release at these dates will NOT be granted unless I am eligible and form NTV/13 overleaf has also been completed. 2. Early Check-Out: At the end of the period of Residence, I may inform the Residence Office in writing (using an Early Check-Out Form ECO/13) that I will be leaving the accommodation in advance of the agreed departure date and that the room may be cleared straight away, in which the case the arrangement in the Agreement Terms and Conditions Clause 2.12 will apply. In these circumstances I will remain liable for the residential accommodation fees until the end of the Residence Agreement unless early termination is agreed in accordance with the Agreement Terms and Conditions Clause 6. NB: the attached questionnaire is anonymous and is used for statistical survey information only; it should not be used to inform staff of any exceptional circumstances relevant to your request.
