Jefrey Bruce Carroll, born 1953 in Tulsa,
Oklahoma passed away December 22, 2013
in Tulsa at the age of 60. Jef graduated
from The University of Oklahoma in 1975
with a BA in Marketing. He entered the oil
business selling oil ield supplies for Whitney Supply Co and then Norvell-Wilder
Supply. Jef never found this industry fulilling, and when his dad proposed opening
an uninished furniture store, he jumped
at the chance. For 20 years that business
thrived, yet the last few years were tough.
Raw Wood Furniture closed in 2007. Jef
continued doing what he loved and became
a manufacturer’s rep. He built Carroll and
Carroll over the last six years, and endeared
customers and manufacturers across the
country. He was one of the hardest working
reps in the industry. In late July, 2013 Jef
was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

He faced this challenge as just another that
needed to be met standing up. Half way
through the chemo treatments he became
ill with pneumonia and was in CICU at St.
Francis. He received excellent care by the
hospital staf there, but he wasn’t able to
recover. He was pre-deceased by his father
Bill and his brother Billy. He is survived
by his wife Nancy of Tulsa, his son Geof
Hanley of Tulsa and daughter Louise Carroll of Lawrence, Kansas, his mother Jerry
Carroll, his sister Lisa Mills and her husband Tom, and his nephew Michael Mills,
all of Tulsa. A memorial service will be
held in Tulsa at Stanley’s Chapel, 3959 E
31st St, on Saturday, December 28, 2013
at 1:00 PM. In lieu of lowers, the family
has requested donations to the American
Cancer Society for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
