will be Saturday, June 21 at Bittersweet

Larimer County Workforce Center (LCWC) is looking to place an Intern
with a company in Berthoud. We have
a young man who has a career interest
in life science. He feels a pull toward
meteorology but is looking to build work
skills in any life/environmental science
field. This would be for a very entry level
position and he is open to any work experience that a business could provide
him. He lives in Berthoud and would love
to be introduced to a professional, science environment. We would look to the
employer to offer work experience, skill
development and some mentoring.
LCWC internships run up to 300 hours
total and can range from 10-40 hours a
week, based upon business need and
the intern’s availability. The intern works
for the business and through our program at the LCWC, we pay their wages
and taxes.
Thompson Valley EMS is asking
community businesses and organiza-
tions that have automatic external defibrillators (AED) on site to call the ambulance service so it can log the locations
into its database. AEDs are portable devices designed to check a person’s heart
rhythm and deliver an electric shock
to resuscitate individuals experiencing
sudden cardiac arrest. Thompson Valley

Berthoud, Colo., the Board of Directors of the Berthoud Fire Protection

on Resolution 2014-03-02 to adopt
and enforce by the District of 2012
edition of the Internatinal Fire Code
which regulates various activities
and materials regarding fire prevention and life safety.
