2014 BEAR VALLEY MOPS CHILDREN’S CLOTHING & TOY SALE
SELLER INSTRUCTIONS
General Information:
We accept clean, top quality, new & used children’s clothing, sizes 0-20 for boys and sizes 0-18 for girls, as
well as baby equipment and toys. No maternity clothes please. Sellers receive 70% of their sales and Bear
Valley MOPS will receive a tax-deductible 30%.
Location: Bear Valley Church (lower level in gym) 10001 W. Jewell Ave Lakewood, CO 80232
Important Dates:
 Receiving at Bear Valley Church in lower level gym
o Tuesday, April 1st, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
o Wednesday, April 2nd, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
o Questions concerning receiving call Jen at (720) 375-3063.
 Pre-sale:
o Thursday, April 3rd, for all volunteer, times vary according to volunteer hours
o Questions concerning volunteering call Janna at (512) 587-8065.
 Sale:
o Friday, April 4th, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (no strollers before 12:00)
o Saturday, April 5th, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (1/2 price on all items labeled "DISCOUNT: YES")
Check and Unsold Items Pick Up:
 ALL SELLERS
o Monday, April 7th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
o Pick up your CHECK and any unsold items.
o Any checks not picked up will be considered donations to MOPS.
o Any unsold items not picked up at this time will be donated to charity.
o I.D.’s will be checked during check distribution.
Seller Number:
Your SELLER NUMBER (assigned to you during registration) is your identification throughout the sale and is used to
calculate earnings.
TICKET INFORMATION
 All sellers receive 100 tickets.
 Sellers volunteering one 3-hour shift receive an additional 50 tickets for a total of 150.
 Sellers volunteering for two 3-hour shifts will receive a total of 300 tickets (one shift can be from another family
member within the same household).
 Sellers volunteering four or more 3-hour shifts will receive an unlimited amount of tickets (only one shift can be
from another family member within the same household).
 If one shift is from another family member within the same household, please have them register on
www.myconsignmentmanager.com/bearvalleymopssale as a volunteer only and sign up for a shift. Then email
Janna at [email protected] with the name of the volunteer and the seller’s name so the seller will get credit
for their hours.
 Items can be combined and counted as one unit (i.e. 2 sleepers priced together as one item).
 Only ONE check per address will be given.
ELECTRONIC TICKET INFORMATION
 You MUST use 60-67 lb card stock paper weight. WHITE only!!
o Copy paper or colored card stock WILL NOT be allowed. All items will be given back and asked to be retagged.
o We recommend using a laser printer. Ink will not smudge when using a laser printer.
 If ink on tags are smudged too greatly, scanning system will not work.
You have the ability to enter all your items on www.myconsigmentmanager.com and print from a
different location than the original computer it was entered on.
 You are given the option on each item if you would like to DISCOUNT and/or DONATE the item.


 This item will be donated to a charity if it does not sell
 It will NOT be given back to the seller
o Again, you are given the option to discount and or donate the item.
 Please make sure that each ticket is filled out completely.
o If you make a mistake or want to change anything on the ticket. You may edit that particular ticket at any
time.
Size Categories: Newborn (NB) 0-3mos, 3-6 mos, 6-12 mos, 18mos, 24mos, 2T, 3T, 4T, & 5 thru 20 for boys and size
18 for girls.
RECEIVING INFORMATION
Please make sure that ALL items are in excellent condition, smoke free, clean, and properly ticketed when brought to
Receiving. We will be checking all items.
Items will not be accepted if any of the following exist:
 *Stained or discolored
 *Have missing or mismatched
 *Have holes
buttons
 *Smell like smoke or other strong
 *Have broken zippers or snaps
odors
 *Have excessive pillage or wear
 *Are torn
 *Are outdated
 We do not accept maternity wear including nursing bras.
 We will accept breast pumps. Breast pumps must be in working condition, clean and sanitized.
 Cloth diapers, underpants, etc., will only be accepted if they are in their original, factory sealed packaging.
FOR GARMENTS:






Pin the price tickets to your clothing items using safety pins (1” or longer).
Do not use straight pins.
Tagging guns are not permitted.
If any tags are lost due to this pinning method, BV MOPS Consignment sale is not held liable!
Pin horizontally where the tag states "pin here."
Place tickets on the upper right side of the garment, as it faces you, whether the item is hung or folded. (See example)

 CAUTION: Safety pins will leave permanent holes in certain fabrics, please use care when pinning your items.
 If the item is hung, hangers must be wire or unbreakable plastic (no hangers will be returned).
 Use safety pins to secure 2-piece garments together.
 The hook of the hanger should be toward the left shoulder (as it faces you).
 Please sort clothes by sex and size before you bring them to Receiving. This will greatly aid us in
moving the receiving line quickly. Thank you!
Footwear:







Must be clean and the soles not more than 50% worn.
Affix a piece of duct tape with Seller # and price on the bottom of each shoe
Shoes that cannot be secured together must be placed in a zip-lock bag and taped closed.
Shoes will not be accepted if they are in a shoebox
Please affix your ticket securely to the outside of the bag using a piece of packing tape.
Do not tape over all of the ticket.
All footwear will be returned to seller.
TOYS/PUZZLES/BOOKS/VIDEOS
 The new tagging system will ask for as size when entering toys. We cannot erase this function at this time. Please
enter "0" or age appropriate sizing.
 Toys with multiple parts must have all parts together in a zip-lock bag and secured with tape.
 Puzzles must be plastic wrapped and taped with clear packing tape.
 Books and DVDs must be in a zip-lock bag and taped closed.
 No VHS and Cassette tapes.
 Please secure the ticket to the outside of the bag or plastic wrap using clear packing tape.
 Battery operated toys must have working batteries in place.
 We will not accept stuffed animals. Education stuffed animals will be accepted (VTech etc.)
BABY EQUIPMENT, FURNITURE, BIKES
 Bring items CLEAN and ready to sell. Items with excessive stains, holes or wear will not be accepted.
 Equipment or Furniture with multiple pieces must be secured together (zip ties are recommended) OR in
original box.
 Please tape the price ticket to the item in an obvious location.
 Use clear packing tape to secure the ticket.
 If there are multiple pieces, use only ONE sale ticket and write 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3, etc. on a separate piece of
paper and securely affix it in an easily identified location on each piece.
 Due to space restrictions, we will only accept twin size mattresses if they are being sold with a headboard and
footboard. Individual crib mattresses are the exception.
 Please disassemble cribs and other large items. We recommend bringing a photo of the assembled item and
attaching it near the price ticket
 No drop-down cribs will be accepted. Fixed sided cribs are welcome.
Bedding: Please secure all comforter or bedding sets in clear plastic bags to avoid any pieces being removed or
separated. Please do not tape bedding closed so it can be inspected during receiving.
Car Seats: Must be manufactured less than 6 years ago to be accepted. The manufacturer’s label must be stamped
as 2009 or newer. Please refer to the manufacturer’s label on the car seat for date.
