ECISD board recognizes Edinburg Children’s

Edinburg Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees recently presented an Award of Appreciation to
Edinburg Children’s Hospital for their donation of over 750 seasonal flu vaccines. The vaccines
were administered to children at Magee, Monte Cristo, Villarreal, JFK, San Carlos, Guerra, and
Avila elementary schools. Pictured accepting the award from Omar Palacios, Board President;
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Rene Gutierrez; and Albert Lopez, ECISD Director of Health
Services are Linda Resendez, Chief Executive Officer for Edinburg Regional and Edinburg
Children’s Hospital; Rose Jimena, Chief Nursing Officer for Edinburg Children’s Hospital; and
Rita Flores, Executive Representative for Edinburg Regional and Edinburg Children’s Hospital.
