WHAT WE DO
We offer over 189,000 combinations of custom, individualized cookie blends, artistically
hand-layered in retro-chic Mason Jars with mouth watering cookie add-ins. The current
line consists of five base blends and more than seventy different add-in possibilities from
diced oranges to dried cherries, chocolate chips to espresso beans, organic oatmeal
bases to a delicious gluten free blend. Just dump the ingredients into a bowl, add dairy or
water according to the instructions, and within minutes homemade cookies are emerging
from the oven.
Included in the line are our flagship hand-layered "Hero Jar" and a smaller take-away
Junior Jar positioned for limited shelf space, event planning, hospitality suites and all
around sinful snacking. Every jar and blend can be custom-branded to the demands of
the retailer, from the ingredients inside to the name on the jar.
WHY WE DO IT
Mason Jar Cookie Company blends are hand-layered, labeled, packaged and shipped by
disabled US Military Veterans or other capable and dedicated disabled workers at a stateof-the-art licensed dry packing and baking facility. From the start, our mission demanded
a co-packing facility that would make giving back to our disabled Vets part of its recipe.
Our sales help provide meaningful work opportunities and full health benefits for those U.S.
Military Veterans who are disabled as a result of serving our country.
WHO WE ARE
We are serious foodies who started The Mason Jar Cookie Company on a dare at the
TriBeCa Idea Lab ClearMetrics, a place where we were paid to think up fresh ideas and
turn them into successful products. While there, our personal quest for the best cookie
yielded only one revelation: there is no such thing. The best cookie is very personal - up to
the palate and whim of the end consumer - so we thought "why not let everyone design
their own?" We had already launched an e-commerce website that enabled a customer to
create and buy totally customized products, be it a bicycle, a vitamin pack, gift basket or as we quickly discovered - a completely personal cookie mix. The engaging build-yourown-jar website allows a consumer to build an artisanal cookie blend, name it and send
the personalized jar - like a delicious online gourmet game. Our background in advising
customers on the best brand position for products is just one more reason that the Mason
Jar Cookie Company line is a great retail partner, we'll help choose the best blends and
branding for your specific audience and customer.
WHAT OTHER'S SAY
Soon after its launch, it was clear that the Mason Jar Cookie Company was more than just
another clever idea - it had become a movement. First the buzz by food bloggers and
their followers, then segments on ABC news and a slew of print - New York, Redbook, US
Weekly, Star, Los Angeles and so many others. A sensational debut in the Emmy's Gift
Swag Bag was followed by requests for customized corporate gifts from the likes of
Hearst, Tyco, Sotheby's, MTV. Mason Jar-themed weddings, bridal and baby showers put
us all over Facebook, Pinterest and the rest. And then Williams Sonoma called and invited
the Mason Jar Cookie Company to become a regular participant in the pilot program of
their Artisan Markets. With this first heady taste of the retail environment we saw a bigger
opportunity ahead and used this experience as a proving ground for the retail offering of
the product.
WHERE TO FIND US
The company sought the help of the Specially Food Association to carefully expand into
retail and will debut the complete line to the trade at the Summer Fancy Food Show in
