Winter Snow Globe
Here's what you'll need...
• Small baby food jar
• Glitter, foil confetti, or eggshells
• Florist clay (if using tiny toy)
• Tiny toy or greenery
• Glycerin, mineral oil, or baby oil
• Ribbon
• Distilled water or water that
has been boiled and cooled
• Glue for snow globe (clear
silicone sealant, aquarium sealant)
**Adult help required with gluing.
Here's how you make it...
1. Put something interesting on the jar lid, such as a small toy.
2. In order to elevate the scene so it is in clear view, glue a plastic
lid inside the jar lid or build up the area with a little extra florist
clay. Be sure to leave the edges clear so you have room to screw
on the lid.
3. Fill the jar up to 1/4 inch from the rim with water.
4. Prepare your snow using the shell from a hard boiled egg.
Separate the shell from the membrane, place in a Ziploc bag, and
crush with a rolling pin. Finer particles will fall more slowly in
the snow globe. Avoid crushing eggshell into a powder as it will
simply float in the water instead of falling.
5. Add several drops of glycerin or mineral oil or baby oil to the
water to keep the snow suspended and floating properly.
6. Spoon in some glitter. (Not too much though!)
7. Seal the lid with a bead of silicone sealant around the threads of
the lid and close tightly. When the glue is dry, turn the jar upside
down and watch it snow.
8. Wrap and glue a thin ribbon around the outside lid of the jar.

another cookie so the stick is sandwiched between the two cookies.
2. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, one minute, then in 20
second increments, stirring until smooth.
3. Dip cookie pops in the melted chips, covering completely.
4. Roll pops in red and green sprinkles and lay or stand on waxed paper

5. Variation: Snowmen
Using a licorice whip, while chocolate is still warm on pop, form
headband and position to regular sized M&M candies as ear
muffs. Lie pop flat on waxed paper and let cool. When cool, use
black decorator gel for eyes and mouth and orange for the nose.
Gently wrap a fruit roll up around the bottom of the cookie at the
stick.

HIPP Program:
The HIPP Program was designed
to provide assistance to the
families of Medicaid beneficiaries.
This program helps families with
the cost of the client’s health
insurance so that beneficiaries are
able to keep their private health
insurance. This allows Medicaid to
the pay secondary to private
insurance, thus saving money for
all tax payers.
