(All Levels) Next February there are
plans at Piecemakers to once again bring
together five cloth doll divas and one
ribbon Queen. Elinor Peace Bailey, Patti
Culea, Sally Lampi, Betts Vidal, Barbara
Willis and Gloria McKinnon will reveal
their floral themed cloth dolls to you on Thursday evening. Friday, Saturday
and Sunday will be filled with half-day workshops to help each attendee
assemble her own floral bouquet of cloth dolls. Students will rotate to each
teacher learning special techniques and general cloth doll making procedures.

(All Levels) Using Living Clay, we’ll sculpt
head, hands and feet in the first class and put
our dolls together in the second. Kathy enjoys

beginners or experienced doll makers.

(All Levels) Make a delightfully whimsical
witch! Form the head, hands, and feet directly
onto armature wires, put the doll together
and finish it with a simple costume.

Lizette Queen Anne Doll DC105
(Level 3) Join Leslie in creating this cloth doll
inspired from the 18th century carved wood
versions. Create a three dimensional needlesculpted cloth face; using a new technique, create
glass-like almond shaped eyes; and paint the face
decorated with stylized eyebrows, lashes, and
brightly rouged cheeks that characterize the “Queen
Anne” style dolls. Jointed arms, legs, and full
head wigging, as well as unique painting and finishing
techniques will give your doll a historic look.
