A Civil War Club will start in March. We will meet on
the third Thursday of the month. You are not required
to attend the meetings (or have your name put in for
great drawings) to be a part of the Civil War Club. The
pattern we will be using is Southern Stars by Pacific
Patchwork.
New Redwork Sit & Sew: we will be starting a redwork
sit & sew group on February 9th. We will meet on the
2nd Tuesday of each month. You do not have to attend the social gathering to do the redwork block of
the month. The blocks will be baskets.

Using the "Magic Pillow Quilt
Plus!" pattern, we'll make a throw
size quilt with a pocket that, when
folded, will be a nice throw pillow. Great for outdoor
events or watching TV or cuddling up with a good book.
Beginning Hand Quilting

Dates: Wednesday March 3rd
Times: 1-4pm or 6-9pm
Class Fees: $18.00
Hand Quilting: As part of the beginning quilting classes,
one session will be devoted to hand quilting. We'll learn
the technique of quilting with a hoop and discuss other
methods as well as see many examples of hand quilting on
heirloom and new quilts. Get your thimble and needle
ready! Let's quilt!
Beginning Paper Piecing

Dates: Saturday February 27th
Times: 12-3pm
Class Fees: $18.00
An introduction to paper piecing class. Participants will
make an 8" finished block using 4 different fabrics. Students will learn how to follow the template and add additional pieces, trimming the seams.
RETREATS
Our retreats are at
the FARMSTEAD
INN in Shipshewana, Indiana. The
cost is $220. It covers our food, a conference room and
your room at the
Inn. We have
added Thurs. to the
November retreat as
an option. IF you
would like to add
Thursday to your
weekend in November, the cost is
$275. You can save
$30 with your
“retreat bucks”. The

quilt blocks. Simply
stack your fabric
matching motifs and
whack away! Each
square, triangle, diamond or wedge cut

Moda Club: We will be starting a Moda club
using the fabric line called Wiscasset by
Minnick & Simpson. The pattern is called
“Vintage Moments” by This & That. Watch
for details and sign up early because we will
need to limit club members according to fabric availability.
