C&A presents the fashion highlights for autumn/winter 2012 at the “Alte Federnfabrik” in Düsseldorf This spring, C&A is once again presenting its fashion preview of the coming autumn/winter 2012 season. The International C&A Press Fashion Show, taking place for the seventeenth time on 25th April, is a permanent fixture in the calendar of Europe’s fashion media. Around 300 international guests are expected to attend from twelve different countries. And a representative from Russia’s fashion press will also be on hand for the first time. The “Alte Federnfabrik”, on the site of Düsseldorf’s Boehler Werke event venue, has been selected as the scene for this fashion show. The former factory building was erected in 1914, and last year was named Germany’s best event venue. An 18 m high ceiling endows the 1600 sqm area with an impressive feeling of space. In the summer, the grounds of the old steelworks will host the Gallery Fashion Fair, the successor to the CPD. This year’s list of first-rank international models will feature a number of exceptional individuals. This event will mark the catwalk premiere of Li Xiaoran, an actress who has earned great renown in Chinese films and television productions. Concurrently with her film career, she has also completed her studies at the world-famous Chinese Dance Academy in Beijing. Alessandra Pocher will also be joining us. She is not only a designer, moderator and model, but also a mother of three and a jury member in the German television series “My name is …..”. Twenty-year-old Ursula James, known in Germany from the popular casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” and soon to feature in the television series “Unter uns”, is another new face on the catwalk. As usual, the show will be masterfully choreographed by Bruce Darnell, who consistently and inimitably sets new standards on the catwalks of the international fashion scene. In Germany, he can currently be seen as a juror on the show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, whose final episode will air three days after the Press Fashion Show. The trendy brands of C&A present a variety of different themes and epochs for the coming season. Yessica Pure was inspired by the architectonic stylistic elements of the 1960s and 1980s and presents itself in clear colours as a modern and cool collection. The winter collection of Yessica Shop evokes the lust for life of the 1960s using new colors and modern materials, while highlighting the feminine silhouette in the style of the 1980s. Metallic accents and highlight colours create tension in a theme dominated by darker colors. Yessica Pure: Sculptural Couture Inspiration: Yessica Pure was inspired by the architectonic stylistic elements of the 1960s and 1980s and presents itself in clear colours as a modern and cool collection. The silhouettes suggested by haute couture and the working of the material are central to the collection and lend it an international flair: the attitude of the pure collection radiates such qualities as significance, coolness, modernity, haute couture, luxuriousness and sexiness. Colours: Clear colours such as brilliant petrol, pure black and metallic gold are the first visual impression of this collection. Fabrics: highquality materials such as gauzy silk crêpe, silk satins, glossy jersey lamé in gold, layered tweeds, wool with alpaca, carefully worked and newly reinterpreted leather sequins, patent leather and nappa leather are some tactile highlights of this collection. The collection includes down and artificial fur as well as a range of material patches, such as leather with wool, leather with fur or jersey with leather. Key styles/silhouettes: O- and H-line silhouettes, reinterpreted blouses and dresses with glossy colour-blocking, extremely narrow, but also commodious trouser shapes, collarless gold tweed blazers, high-cut pencil skirts below the knees and cool, boxy maxi-sequin dresses made of leather. Elegant fake-snakeskin and lizard clutches along with sophisticated shoppers. Ankle boots with chunky heels and shiny fake-snakeskin pumps. Snoods in chunky knits, fingerless and long leather gloves in berry tones finish the total look. Angelo Litrico: 1960s Touch Inspiration: 1960s “Mod look” is updated through the use of bold color-blocking, clean tailoring and colored bottoms.
